Good on him for speaking out . I hope something good comes out of his comments. Too many people are suffering in silence worried about speaking out or too ashamed not to admit something is wrong[ they should not be].

I think he is brave for speaking his truth, stop sweeping things. Under the rug. Don’t put added pressure on actors. Please, do not compromise their state of mind and creativity.

Lee Min ho said the same, now I dont want to put anyone down, but with what is going on in the world, there are “ struggles and there are STRUGGLES. Just do what you feel is right for yourself!!Life is too short!?

The expectations, negativity and "outrage" that Korean actors and idols can be subjected to is finally being called out. If the industry doesn't lead and insist on the change then nothing will improve. If they leave the 'power' with fickle fans then nothing will improve. If speaking out makes you a target in an industry that demands compliance, then it's time to change the principles and environment of the industry. The industry has to lead the way and protect it's artists.

I just learned of another Korean actor who has lost his life due to heart attack. At 32 years of age this young actor is in the prime of his life. Park Minjae is his name and he was in a few notable dramas in his short career. Condolences to all his family and friends.
Having said that, I often feel like hugging these Korean stars who are so tormented by the industry they love. It’s a shame really. This is the third renown actor to express how difficult it is to maintain a level of privacy not to mention being type cast. Lee Mim Ho, Ji Chang-Wook and now this young man have all expressed their negative feelings toward the industry. These feelings often lead to poor mental health that sometimes can lead to a feeling of hopelessness. My advice to my fellow Kdrama lovers is to leave our star’s personal lives alone. We should only be interested in their projects and we should root for them to grow in their craft. Thanks for sharing this info and take care🌸💃🏽

So young! This is very sad. 😢I looked up his drama list and had seen many of them but didn't really remember him well. Still, only 32!!!

I absolutely love & adore him. He is my favorite actor. Always a scene stealer whether he’s the main cast or supporting cast, his presence is always sincere and memorable. I just hope he knows how much he is loved. I’d be devastated if he stopped acting. He was born to do what he’s doing.

A wonderful actor and beautiful man. The Entertainment Industry is sick. Parasites making money from other people's talents. I wish him the best and hope he finds a better group of people to work with.

That is not the industry's problem, that is a problem with the people in Korea and China who call themselves fans. They demand that the stars live for them on the grounds that they finance their lives. Which is true to a certain extent. But they charge too much for it. The stars in the western world also live off their audience, with the difference that they only demand good work in return and not sacrifice their own life. Now an adult actor is being attacked and stoned because he has become a father. It is his private business how he deals with his father role. No one asks what the mother's role is in this case? Is she an innocent lamb? Her private business, actually, but someone has "snitched" again. The Asian fans demand every detail of their lives, every fart is interesting to them and unfortunately the industry naturally takes their side to maximize profits. They don't care about artists because there are enough young talents that can be "trained". Sad world in Korea

There's nothing wrong with you, you are doing a good job. Be strong and if you feel that you can not cope with the pressure, step back, take a break and take care of yourself first. But I admire you, you are a very good actor and very good looking. We wish you well. Take care of yourself.

Another stupid fake entertainment news video out of Korea. Who in god's name would be "stunned" to discover that Korean actors/idols/entertainers of all types are under insane pressure from all sides, pressure that often drives them to suicide? WHO? The manner in which this assinine vid presents what he said, and I'm glad he said it, as SHOCKING NEWS, is more of the same old crap. stuff it.
