I always appreciate your videos so much! While I haven't gotten a chance to try out shooting some cars yet, I've been learning a lot from watching your videos, and I'm planning to try out some shots with one of my own cars here in my town. Your advice and tips are so detailed but not complicated, and that really is the perfect blend!
@@ThePhotographyRebuttal You're most welcome! I'm actually watching your pricing guide video right now, and I literally watched every other video that you used in the intro😅 And your video definitely has broken everything down in realistic detail, and not gloss over anything. Again, thank you for sharing your expertise 🙏 I hope to make my product photography a viable career for myself in the near future.
Very helpful information, thank you for posting. I have been following your work for sometime now, ever since seeing your work of the Orange MP4-12C, it’s much appreciated seeing you share you knowledge. Would love to see a video on tips/ways of meeting clients or marketing your work to potential clients!
Bro only 3.8k followers thats robbery. Such great content coming from real world experience not youtube experience deserves at least that much followers so you can have a normal living just from the videos that you made by now amazing and please continue making them
This is one of the most valuable videos I've seen regarding car photography. Although I'm used to shooting in public, there are a few tips in this video about things I didn't know and would never have found on my own. Thanks very much. I appreciate your time and knowledge.
Thanks for the insightful video! Just learning and researching to shoot my own car. Have been using Google maps and creating a My Maps of dots and screenshots for reference and good to see that pros do it too.
Hey Mike, thanks a lot for this video. Last 2 weeks I done location scouting in my city for the first time and it was experience :D Now I can be much more better with your tips!
You are a gold mine of info. Thank you! Can you give any info on what your preference to lens focal length is to how much background to car? Love not only your work but your work ethic and how you see things and your unique point of view.
Great suggestion but the trouble is that clients tend to be quite camera-shy and the things we discuss during meetings are usually confidential. So quite difficult! Will try though.
Great tips! Very useful! Would be great to know also, how to price properly your services as a car photographer and at the same time not to scare your potential clients as being too low or too high
@@ThePhotographyRebuttal maybe just a short over view? Like how you did it in this vid coz I saw in your vid on the brief they were talking about their usp and there were other terminologies that I tried to figure out so perhaps something short and sweet about that sorta thing. Btw thanks for the vid it helped clear up some issues I find when location hunting
Hi Michael! Nice video👍 Question about paid location and landmarks? If you shoot commercial and will have some recognizable building behind like MOMA (with Lambo video BTS) do your client need permission to use that image?
Usually yes but in this case MOMA was somehow involved (I don’t know / didn’t really care exactly how) so it was ok. Otherwise we would usually remove any branding in post or shoot at a different angle to avoid it being in frame.
amazing video even though I live in saudi arabia where there almost no cool locations we shoot cars to near modern buildings most of the time which is hard for me to scout. I was wondering what if the client or for example "Audio" weren't happy with the photographs you have taken? or is there a communication between you two to avoid such thing?
One thing I find is to take advantage of anything unique to your own country. You may be sick of seeing the desert in KSA but there are so many photographers (including myself) who would love to shoot some cars in one!
Do you have a Facebook group? I would love to do weekly/monthly challenges from you. I’ve learned more from 3 of your videos than any other photographer on RUclips. +1 sub
This is really valuable information. If I remember correctly, was it you that started doing monthly projects on Automotive Photography Facebook Group? I looked forward to those. Would be neat to see that on here. Supply us with a project, then select some for video critique.
Hi Jared and thanks for watching - glad you find the content informative. I've never assigned projects before but now you're giving me ideas.............. ;-)

I guess I need to do more marketing! But then again I've only made 9 videos in 6 months!
Wow, these are like the online lectures I actually want to watch
Glad you found them useful!
Thank you! Great content 👍🏻
Thank you!
This is so impactful… thank you @thephotographyrebuttal
Will to see video regarding the PROJECT BRIEF sir. Thank You ❤
This was super helpful! Thanks!
Most welcome and thanks for watching
Yes, I'm curious about how you talk with the clients regarding the creative briefs and what they expect. Would love to see a video on that!
Noted! Thanks - looks like a few people are interested so definitely will so when I can whip one out!
Very interesting video. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching
This video is great!! Loved it all through to the end!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks a lot.
We would be greatful if you share some post production resources.
Another really useful video, thanks for making it !
Glad it was helpful!
Nice, well presented with great info and liked the way you kept saying check your local rules and regs.
Glad you enjoyed! And yeah every country/city has their own set of rules and regs so I can't say any blanket statement that apply everywhere
A+
USEFUL
Hell yeah. Really important ep for beginners.
And also new video about agencies and clients (communication, brief, meet goals) will be amazing!
Sure thing - I thought about doing one with real video footage of client meetings - just have to find a client willing to be filmed!
Man this Chanel is Gold ❤️
Thank you Paul (and I'm only 10 videos in). Can't wait to see what it's like at 100.
Absolutely amazing and very insightful. Loved it. Especially the on-location explanation really helped me in my shoot planning. Thank you for this!
Very welcome!

Thanks for the idea about focal lengths for cars. I should make a video about it
Would surely like to see a video telling about client briefing/discussions - I am sure there will be so much more to learn ! Thanks in advance.

Great tips! That second part video footage is lit btw! :-)
Thanks for the video Mike! I’d love a video about the brief! If you made a video about what photographers should eat for breakfast, I’d watch it! 😂

Coming soon! I just need to figure out how to categorize different types of jobs/clients as the price varies a lot between them.
