Believe you said you had to put new shims and spacers in the planting wheels. What was they not doing right?? That planter was new. Nice work for what ever you all did to it. So when the ground gets hard how are you suppose to keep those units in the ground if you can take a floor jack and jack them up without moving the entire bar that they mount on?
You don't. Anything that has rubber torsion springs is complete garbage. Won't hold depth precisely at all, especially with age. It's a terrible design. Just like all the speed discs, set them for 5 inches and you get two inches and bouncing. The Germans are dumber than us. Springs, air, and hydraulics give consistency, rubber weiners do not. And they will walk left to right at times but horsch may have theirs captured better. It's overpriced garbage. Just like their points do 10,000 acres and are actually shot at 200.
And that is why you built that table like that. Smart.

Row units could be bent from when you backed up with them in the ground. I’d measure every one and see if they’re on center or not
You can slacken the clamp around the rubbers on the coulter units and move them to fix spacing , our horsch pronto sometimes does the same .

Two things learned in this video.. JCB buckets are weak, don’t buy an avatar..
That has to be just about the worst cutting edge mounting system I have ever seen!!.....Glad to see you using normal thru bolts to re install.
