When you freeline where do you hook your bait? Also, if the fish are around 60ft deep if you free line will your bait stay close to the surface or will it dive? I would guess it would be more advantageous to use a downline in this situation, am i correct?
Hi! Great video. This may be a stupid question, but if you have 5-7' of leader, how do you reel your line up if you have a sinker attached between your leader and main line? I mean, don't you still have 5-7' of line out once the sinker reaches the end of your rod tip? Thanks!
Hi GOL, I place the rod handle in my opposite hand from the side of the kayak that the fish is on and point the tip up and away from me as if to pull the fish up in my lap. This will also balance you in the kayak to pull a heavy fish in the kayak.
