Well they also had different variations of the V10 too.....the 99ACR has a 8.0 V10, the 2008 had an early version of the 8.4 (a slightly bored up 8.3 from 2003) which also had variable cam timing. The 2013 8.4 was reworked to produce 640hp (up from the 2008 600hp) and the 2016 ACR 8.4 is the same as the 2013 model. No changes to the V10 were made for the ACR. So yeah, that's why they sound a little different and realistically the 1999 should be the most drastic difference as that exhaust exits to the rear

The sounds are much better in this game than FH4. Especially for this car. This car literally sounded like a tractor in the previous title.
While true they still sound very robotic seems to be a lingering issue for horizon games hopefully they fix this in motorsport

The sounds just aren’t that good, sounds absolutely nothing like the actual car, in terms of tone, pitch, and bass anyways.
