Different aesthetic and different color palettes I think the Crew went a more colorful color palette and Forza went for a more sharper color for realism

What the f are you talking about? What dynamic range? There's no dynamic range in a game, there is tonemapping. You can't compare a camera to a game engine, because one is capturing something real, the other is producing something to look real. You can say the tonemapping, color science looks better in one or another, but it has nothing to do with dynamic range, more so with contrast...
I learnt that the hard way when I accidentally drove some of my modified cars and hypercars on the sand haha. The wheels partially sink into the ground which is a detail that some racing games often ignore. It also makes sense that you'll have a much harder time finding traction on a loose surface with a vehicle that wasn't built for that type of terrain.

If, like in Forza, there are only graphics and moderate physics (I don’t consider it a reference), and playing is boring and dull, this does not mean that this series of games is better. And after crew 1-2 (in which I played more than 900 hours), in fx 1-2 (200 hours each) fx 3-4-5 for 700 hours. Believe me, when you have collected the entire park in fx, the game is dull. The seasons are dull, and part 5 is the worst part in the series and the most boring and faceless, and a large number of bugs that cannot be fixed and a careless attitude towards the game, not like in the previous parts. I have a comparison on my channel... fx3 and fx5 in small details and part 5 is the most terrible... what are we talking about, they gave +/- 50-70% of the cost of developing the game for a PR campaign... But in the end the game was released crooked and crude and crashed on every 2nd PC

I played the motorfest trial and it does look and feels promising. I grinded for an rx7 and just love the aesthetic of cruising up and down the beach during twilight. And it's super cool that theres motorcycles too. I'm not in a place right now to be spending money on games but if it ends up on gamepass or on sale when i got some extra funds, i might actually get it.
Not sure how much you have to spend, but its on ubisoft+ along with the new Assassins Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy and Watchdogs games and i think its only $15 a month
Motorfest making it so the car torques to the side when you rev the motor is a nice detail. It's actually something that adds to the driving experience when you own a car with a large displacement engine.

Motorfest used most of forza best elements, but it's a game with his own shine. The crew is a very nice franchise, way better than trash nfs games released nowdays
Now this is subjective but i think you're going a little too far to call today's NFS games trash, sure they're not as good as NFS' prime titles like underground 2 or MW but i wouldn't call them trash... especially the last two (heat and unbound)

i like the realistic and sharp look on Forza, but the Environment Physics are better with Motorfest, and the engine sound a bit better in Motorfest (but maybe they were just louder in the comparision). I think i can settle on Motorfest if the game gets a ReShade/ENB treatment to look a bit more realistic. The over saturated comic look and terrible textures really dont work anymore in 2023.
The engine sound was arguably an invalid test. He had launch control active on Forza, so it was only revving to about ~4000rpm. Plus volume was a factor like you said.
While FH is more leaned towards simulation , The Crew stays in the middle between sim and arcade. That's probably the reason of why some of the details are "missing" between the 2

2:00 You can clearly see that launch control is keeping the RPMs at ~4000 on Forza Horizon 5, whereas there's no launch control on Motorfest, so it's revving to the redline. That's obviously going to sound different, so I really question what kind of person actually conducted these tests. Hold the brake (without holding the ebrake), or put it in neutral to actually rev it all the way. Jeez, sometimes I wish we could get actual gamers to do these tests.

both games are good in their own ways still, i don't know why but forza feels more premium and realistic looking while motorfest feels like upscaled mobile game I mean I played motorfest closed beta and it was nice but I feel more inclined to stay with forza something about motorfest just doesn't click right with me, perhaps a sale might do the trick for me later

My personal opinion is this: I grew up on ps and remained true to them for years, I just enjoyed it. With other friends having xbox and ps racing games missing a good simulation racing game, I think forza hit the mark, with a lot of other details too. The crew, is mainly arcade. To me it seems as if they’ve just took what forza missed and focused on that. Which isn’t much, but all in all I feel they still have some catching up to do to be more diverse on their audience. I’m a fan of both games for different reasons, but if they could figure out the best of both games, and improve the worst of both games, put into one, would be a bad ass game. Of course their primary style of racing is different, but personally, if they focused on simulation it would be the best racing game on the market.
So basically if your looking for customization and detail, motorfest is your best bet. If your looking for a better physics engine "except for the trees" forza is your winner

None of these comparison videos show actual driving of these cars to show the difference in car mechanics. Take a few laps around a track or a windy road to show how the cars handle in the different games.

I got the chance to play both FH5 and Motorfest for a short period of time. Honestly I did enjoy my time with Motorfest lot more....it feels fresh. FH5 is really just a more polished version of FH4 and I got really burnt out already with FH4. Seriously if they keep this up, FH6 will be the same thing just different skin. It's starting to get boring.
The sand on FH5 looked like a mud/snow deformation rather than a sand. MotorFest is better but the tyre marks are a bit janky like it's just overlayed on top of the sand but has a nice detail of it going through the wheels.
Motorfest has better physics. The cars in FH5 are a 100x better. Let’s face it, Ubisoft sucks when it comes to automotive and the sounds. They need to stick with making FPS’s.
As a long time Forza player (and disliked The Crew 1 & 2), I like The Crew: Motorfest because they got the car control right this time. Being able to play bike, boat, and plane is a huge plus. The graphics could be better but it is serviceable. Definitely get it if it’s on sale.
Motorfest has this wild arrange of variety , from drag racing to monster trucks, to profesional racing, drifting courses, gymkhana, movie stunt driving, custom showcases heck we even have a lowrider dancing constest, and we'll be having nfs style pursuits now... fh 5 is a such a fine game but they sat confortable for way too long and i do wish they'd realize there's more you can do with cars than those soulless and repetitive playlists and generic challenges, fh needs to undestand it's audience instead of going for mainstream appeal at the expense of originality, it's not about mindlessly having new, easy to unlock cars each month, is about creative and immersive activities you can do with them, community creators are well aware of this yet they learn anything from it...
I turn off ALL drive assist minus ABS in FH5. Are the physics and tuning any good in Motorfest? Or is motorfest way more arcade like and not catering to sim racing like FH5 does a little bit?
The crew games have always been arcadey. This one is less so and it took a little bit for me to get used to the driving but I can say I prefer it over Forza Go ahead and try the game out with the 5 hour trial
I have no idea how is FH5 catering to sim racing at all. Some arcades get complicated but as their physics haven't much to do with actual car physics it makes them counter-intuitive to understand unlike any sim.

In The Crew I always seem to go at the same speed with all the cars... and the gameplay has improved. I still feel like I'm driving a boat down the road.
All I had to do was experience The Crew Motorfest in beta. If I were to pick out what I felt was the best and what was most uncomfortable, it would be: What I liked was Hawaii and riding in a car that I had not seen in Forza. What was inconvenient was that the tilt angle when taking pictures was very limited. If Motorfest has a sale, I think I can enjoy it lightly.
I complained to Motorfest, but Forza also has one serious problem: 'empty base map' I really sleep well when I'm driving freely. (You can prevent insomnia by driving an electric car!)
next time when doing the sound in forza don't press the handbrake but the brake instead, if you hold the e-brake launch control kicks in and holds back your rpm

Ni si quiera la animación del volante en el cockpit es más de 180º (90º grados izquierda y derecha) denota mucho que ni si quiera tienen presente los volante de Logitech, thrusmaster, fanatec entre otros. por no decir que el FFB es pobre y las físicas de los coches son muy básicas, perdona mucho los errores humanos, los coches no tienen tanto peso como en un simulador, y algunos coches que serian un desafio pilotarlos y llevandolos al limite Como un Ferrari F40 o cualquier Porsche 911 en FH5 es un chiste, se distancia de un Gran turismo 7, y ya ni lo comparo con Assetto Corsa porque está años luz. El Gran turismo 7 si que seria un simcade, pero no llega a ser un simulador puro y duro como puede ser Assetto corsa, iRacing entre otros. Repito porque algunos piensan que por decir "es un arcade" es definición de mal juego, es un juego muy bueno. Pero no se puede llegar a disfrutar al máximo con un Volante.

I played the motorfest trial and it does look and feels promising. I grinded for an rx7 and just love the aesthetic of cruising up and down the beach during twilight. And it's super cool that theres motorcycles too. I'm not in a place right now to be spending money on games but if it ends up on gamepass or on sale when i got some extra funds, i might actually get it.
Not sure how much you have to spend, but its on ubisoft+ along with the new Assassins Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy and Watchdogs games and i think its only $15 a month

Motorfest making it so the car torques to the side when you rev the motor is a nice detail. It's actually something that adds to the driving experience when you own a car with a large displacement engine.

Motorfest used most of forza best elements, but it's a game with his own shine. The crew is a very nice franchise, way better than trash nfs games released nowdays
Now this is subjective but i think you're going a little too far to call today's NFS games trash, sure they're not as good as NFS' prime titles like underground 2 or MW but i wouldn't call them trash... especially the last two (heat and unbound)

i like the realistic and sharp look on Forza, but the Environment Physics are better with Motorfest, and the engine sound a bit better in Motorfest (but maybe they were just louder in the comparision). I think i can settle on Motorfest if the game gets a ReShade/ENB treatment to look a bit more realistic. The over saturated comic look and terrible textures really dont work anymore in 2023.

The engine sound was arguably an invalid test. He had launch control active on Forza, so it was only revving to about ~4000rpm. Plus volume was a factor like you said.

While FH is more leaned towards simulation , The Crew stays in the middle between sim and arcade. That's probably the reason of why some of the details are "missing" between the 2

My personal opinion is this: I grew up on ps and remained true to them for years, I just enjoyed it. With other friends having xbox and ps racing games missing a good simulation racing game, I think forza hit the mark, with a lot of other details too. The crew, is mainly arcade. To me it seems as if they’ve just took what forza missed and focused on that. Which isn’t much, but all in all I feel they still have some catching up to do to be more diverse on their audience. I’m a fan of both games for different reasons, but if they could figure out the best of both games, and improve the worst of both games, put into one, would be a bad ass game. Of course their primary style of racing is different, but personally, if they focused on simulation it would be the best racing game on the market.
So basically if your looking for customization and detail, motorfest is your best bet. If your looking for a better physics engine "except for the trees" forza is your winner

None of these comparison videos show actual driving of these cars to show the difference in car mechanics. Take a few laps around a track or a windy road to show how the cars handle in the different games.

The sand on FH5 looked like a mud/snow deformation rather than a sand. MotorFest is better but the tyre marks are a bit janky like it's just overlayed on top of the sand but has a nice detail of it going through the wheels.

As a long time Forza player (and disliked The Crew 1 & 2), I like The Crew: Motorfest because they got the car control right this time. Being able to play bike, boat, and plane is a huge plus. The graphics could be better but it is serviceable.
Definitely get it if it’s on sale.

Motorfest has this wild arrange of variety , from drag racing to monster trucks, to profesional racing, drifting courses, gymkhana, movie stunt driving, custom showcases heck we even have a lowrider dancing constest, and we'll be having nfs style pursuits now... fh 5 is a such a fine game but they sat confortable for way too long and i do wish they'd realize there's more you can do with cars than those soulless and repetitive playlists and generic challenges, fh needs to undestand it's audience instead of going for mainstream appeal at the expense of originality, it's not about mindlessly having new, easy to unlock cars each month, is about creative and immersive activities you can do with them, community creators are well aware of this yet they learn anything from it...
I hope Test Drive unlimited takes notice and see’s that there is still a market for this type of games

Happy that i didn't make that mistake by buying Motorfest! Was actually tempted a little, now the doubt is cleared.

I turn off ALL drive assist minus ABS in FH5. Are the physics and tuning any good in Motorfest? Or is motorfest way more arcade like and not catering to sim racing like FH5 does a little bit?
The crew games have always been arcadey. This one is less so and it took a little bit for me to get used to the driving but I can say I prefer it over Forza

I have no idea how is FH5 catering to sim racing at all. Some arcades get complicated but as their physics haven't much to do with actual car physics it makes them counter-intuitive to understand unlike any sim.
The physics are on point, Cars feel weighty and handle as they should. Honestly may be better than forza

Not everything is though. A lot are actually and that was one of the biggest critique points of FH4 which is probably why they improved the sounds.

Ni por asomo Forza horizon 5 es un simcade, es un arcade puro y duro, y no por ello es malo. pero simcade es pasarse. Ni si quiera la animación del volante en el cockpit es más de 180º (90º grados izquierda y derecha) denota mucho que ni si quiera tienen presente los volante de Logitech, thrusmaster, fanatec entre otros. por no decir que el FFB es pobre y las físicas de los coches son muy básicas, perdona mucho los errores humanos, los coches no tienen tanto peso como en un simulador, y algunos coches que serian un desafio pilotarlos y llevandolos al limite Como un Ferrari F40 o cualquier Porsche 911 en FH5 es un chiste, se distancia de un Gran turismo 7, y ya ni lo comparo con Assetto Corsa porque está años luz. El Gran turismo 7 si que seria un simcade, pero no llega a ser un simulador puro y duro como puede ser Assetto corsa, iRacing entre otros. Repito porque algunos piensan que por decir "es un arcade" es definición de mal juego, es un juego muy bueno. Pero no se puede llegar a disfrutar al máximo con un Volante.
