PlayWing needs to fix matchmaking! Why are you allowing players in the top 100 to fight newbies who just started playing? This is not fair nor is it balanced; it's just a slaughterhouse! (SPOILER ALERT) Just like when Vhagar kills Arrax in House of the Dragon!
Absolutely love the movement in this game. Bobbing through castle archways and weaving through colossal skeletons while pursuing/being pursued gives me such a dopamine rush.
What I have realised is that, when someone is doing flame breath on you from behind and chasing you, keep holding the brake button, turn TOWARDS the enemy, and start doing flame breath ON THEM. Every time I do this, they start running away because they never expected that I would turn around and fight them lol, after which I become the chaser. Try it, almost every time it works in my favour.

The best movement technique for evasion is the brake turn-boost out but if the enemy behind you has reactions and movement as well they can and will track it.

Probably won’t make a video on that. But I have my mouse reactivity at 4 for both horizontal and vertical and use tethered input. The “sensitivity” doesn’t actually affect turn speed it simply comes down to your brake and boost inputs! Give it some practice and I hope you figure it out :)

I know this is probably player specific but howdo you feel about the default control hotkeys ? I've been using ZQSD (EU equivalent to WQSD) with Z as boost, S as brakes and QD for directions. But somehow it feels clunky and unnatural, especially since I already aim with my mouse. Do you think I should try and stick to it or remove the direction ones altogether and change boost and brakes ?
I personally don’t use the direction ones at all and just have the default beta controls. Just play around with it and find what works for you! It all comes down to personal preference!
@@DustyNG Thanks ! I tinkered the shortcuts a bit in free flight and came up with the same impression. I think re-routing boost on space for my thumb and brakes on Ctrl for my pinky is what works best for me.
seems like your new to pc, keep the defaults settings it's usually the most comfortable route, for the breaks you could also use the space bar for extra comfort.

That's a common misconception that comes from other games. The movement is the same for any platform since the mouse settings are designed to emulate controller movement. If anything, it's actually easier and more intuitive to play on controller than with a mouse and keyboard :)

Another thing I've seen is players going through the wind tunnels then turning around and sticking to the wall to shake off other players

I need get a good recording but sware sometimes rhe animation of bouncing off wall and boosting looks like it was ment to be done.
U can turn sharper, if u hold down ur boost and rapidly hitting the brake while turn. Try it! ;)

You'll see the markers show up on your HUD when they're approaching. You'll get a better feel for the audio and visual cues the more you play :)

No it doesn't have any real effect on turn speed! It all comes down to brake and boost input!
