@ChapterMasterValrak I think guilliman and the silent king will fight each other to a stand still then vastor turns up and starts wrecking. Cawl is getting close to turning necron tech against chaos but magnus shows up and guiliman steps in to defend him, as magnus gains the upper hand the lion appears with his dark angels as he's been hunting vashtor since the rock and together they banish magnus but the thing they need to kill chaos in the region is destroyed. With the silent king battling vashtor and immoteks forces he's losing ground in the area, but appears to guiliman and the lion offering a truce. A temporary alliance forms where they push back vashtors forces. Immotek leaves the area in disgust that the silent king would side with a lesser race, but acknowledges he can't defeat the combines forces. A hectic battle of vashtor vs the lion and guiliman ensues, the men of iron are revealed and the battle is won by the imperials at heavy cost, as the dark.angels have to release their own dark age weapons on defeat them but this results in many being lost in the process. Everyone is battered and weakened all around leaving an opening for the next villain (hopefully tyranids) to cause some serious issues in the next book.

If the Lion and Guilliman meet again and start "running the empire" I hope there is at least one line lamenting the lack of Sanguinious to bind them together.
Biggest stuff up GW did was have this take place before dark imperium. Which means there’s a good chance the lion won’t show up or even be mentioned. Lions return is after Baal is saved. They’ll need a whole new series to discuss what happens after the lion book
My theory and what I want to see is that Gulliman at first struggles to win against the Silent King but then the Lion comes to help his brother with the Dark age of technology that the emperor gave him and together they push back the Silent King a bit but then the Silent King unleashes his own War in heaven technology all the while Vashtorr is rubbing his hand and laughing seeing all his plan coming together
It would go against all the lore we currently have regarding Szarekh for him to instigate a fight, and would go against Guilliman's character for him to instigate one either.
In Ephael Stern, The Heretic Saint, it was established faith is not affected by the Necron warp blocking in the nexus and making it a different power to psychic. It will be interesting to see if that lore bit is remembered in this next book or if the power of faith is changed.
I would caution getting to excited with the prospect of the Lion turning up. Guy Haley said on X "No. Genefather takes place some time after this. The Dawn of Fire books are set before the Dark Imperium trilogy, the Cawl books afterwards."
I see what you mean. The weird thing is that such a massive shift for the Imperium is in a book about The Silent King. You'd think it's a Necron story.
Dawn of fire is also a pre qual to Dark imperium books, so the next major lore stuff will be what happens after dark imperium (at least how I understand the timeline, I may be wrong)
At the start of the Black Library section of the show there was a second or two showing the text from a book. Did anyone manage to capture what the book said?
Imagine guilliman seeing not just clonegrim but also a full detatchment of preserved emperor’s children (geneseed or astartes I don’t remember which trayzn swiped)
This is actually my worst nightmare my favorite character in my favorite faction is going to be dumbed down to just another wall for the ultra marines to just run through. And to reveal that behind the wall chaos was the real threat the whole time.
I think they’re gonna link up. I think when Gman went to the emperor and had his brain assautled that the big E let slip some images on how to properly bring him back. Gonna need the Necrons and the space elves
Gonna sound heretical but I'd kinda love it if Guilliman and Szarehk decide to make an alliance, I mean the Imperium and Necrons teaming up would be scary for anything in their way
It actually makes fucking sense to do that plus i remember the silent king having some connection to sanguinius but that was when i was just getting into 40k so that may have been a fever dream
that would be sick, especially with the reports of ghazghkull rounding up the last Orcs and the remake of their mega weapons. the necrons may have the tech to aid the imperium in their attacks against them
So many things could go into this book but probably won't because it'll end up a narrative mess if they do. This may set the stage for future novels to move into all these directions finally but I can't see it having any of the major players outside of Guilliman,Szarekh,Cawl and Vash'torr. Happy to eat a hat if I'm wrong
Makes perfect sense .... 8 books about the hand of Abbadon and the Inquisition playing cat and mouse for book 9 to jump to the Bobby G vs the Silent King.
This does raise questions about where this book is in the timeline. The Dawn of Fire series is said to take place before the Plague Wars and well before Arks of Omen. So is this book set well after the Triumph at Rakous or was the Pariah Nexus storyline resolved well before even the narrative for 8th edition? The paragraph description is vague for the book so only time will tell. Regardless it’ll be great to finally see the culmination of everything they’ve been working towards in this 9 book story. Love Haley as an author so as always he’ll knock this story out of the park like usual.
I think son of the forest takes place after the siege of Baal, which would be way after Silent King, because Dark Imperium, plague war, and godblight takes place between the indomitus crusade and the siege of Baal.
My theory: this story is just the beginning of a series that will continue in the Pariah Nexus… ‘Dawn’ of Fire will turn out to be part 1 of a wider narrative continuing the story of the Indomitus crusade… next part ‘Era of Fire’ or just ‘Era Indomitus’ will then keep the Pariah Nexus narrative going (alongside other threads)
The only way Guilliman has a chance in a fight is if he gets empowered by the Emperor somehow, or he gets empowered even by Necron tech from a faction that hates the Silent King. Can't see them having a straight up duel. A diplomatic battle seems more likely.
Something just occured to me. What if Sanguinius returns but its not revived. What if The Silent King stole him from before the moment of his death to serve in the 40k millennium, but will still die at Horu's hands. Hes just out of his time. I don't think this would be good narratively speaking, but with the hints about the connection between the SK and the Favulous Hawk boy I cannot simply forget this possibility. Also Baahl being the homeworld of the Necrontyr could be a narrative tie in as to why the SK has an affinity for the Blood Angels as beings who lived under the same radiated sun.
They couldn't start the stories about the Fourth Tyrannic War and the Lion and everything else until they finished the Dawn of Fire series. And they didn't really do a damn thing to hurry up with those books. They just chucked the Lion out there to boost their stock price and damn the narrative. It's very likely that Lion wasn't even supposed to return until now, he wasn't supposed to be there to fight Vashtorr and it never made any sense for Angron to be there to fight for Vashtorr. But GW had to boost its profitability.
i'm hoping that this is what the had immediately planned for Guilliman, then they do Lion stuff after. I'm guessing they still had stuff they wanted to do with Guilliman before he know that Lion is there.
All this robot stuff going on and Ferrus Manus is dead. He'd fit in so well. You know what, if Fulgrim is coming back, let's see Manus come back through Necron tech since he had all that necrodermus in his body, so he just uploaded on his death and has been sitting in a stasis pod in a weird, error tech created Necron/Primarch soul body this whole time. Fulgrim can be loose and thinking that he can't be killed in his snek body only to have Robo-Ferrus Manus now after him, now with the undying feature of Necron tech and a serious amount of anger issues to work out looking for him. Just needs to pick up his own skull and wear it around his neck like an amulet or as part of his armor to make sure Fulgrim knows what the freaky nanotech horror thing is that's going to turn him hamburger is.
Just likeni said days ago, the Lion will tp right at the turn of the battle and bash his shield into Vashtor's face. Also are the orks getting involved?
Nice. But, after reading book. 7, i thought the Dawn of Fire was focused on the shenanigans of a certain chaos cult. So seems bit of a deviation to focus on the Silent King... But who knows? Maybe they will tie and resolve all subplots together 😄
The only thing I hope for is that the German audio book doesn't need years to come to Audible. So far I own the 8 paperback books and the 7 audio books on Audible (both in German) of the DoF series, while the 8th book in English is out for 2 months now on Audible, they sill haven't done a German version. I don't care much if German or English but if I start a collection one way, I want to finish it that way - and I can take a month or two to wait but GW usually needs so much time, spoilers aren't avoidable after that period of time. And book 9 will be a big spoiler problem I guess.
This is my guess G man will get injured and lion will save him. Silent king will win that battle. A ton of imported characters will die on the ultramarine chapter, sisters etc and little on necron. G man cant die it will piss people off but if he dies and gets a massive buff thanks to the ethe big E.
So, the long awaited slug out! But, the Orks would be a valuble addition! Still, for all Guilliman's attributes, he will be out matched by the Necrons. With Vashtorr wandering around looking to cause mayhem. Magnus the Red getting involved in the Pariah Nexus. Quite the storm building.
Hmm if I remember correctly Dawn of Fire takes place before Dark Imperium .. so I dont think the Lion will make a appearance ... unless the books skips forward a lot That said What I could se is that Vashtor find something that will give him access to the arks, putting the Arks of Omen plot into motion.
I'm skeptical. One book to wrap up all the Dawn of Fire plotlines AND introduce a new story of Necron vs Guilliman? I feel like you would need 2-3 books to do that properly

@@redamerican5830 What are you smoking? The Emperor's literally the only non-god to beat a full powered C'tan 1v1, which is what my comment is about. Nothing else.
@marmyeater if you got a source that isn't a wiki or a RUclips video then sure. But I know your referring to the void dragon in it weakest state. That is not a full power C'tan your insulting the necrons
@@redamerican5830 The Void Dragon had 65 million years to recover. If you want to insult Baldemort then miss me with your shit.
Love your channel. So happy to see you doing well out there. 😊
Me, a Blood Angel, getting told Guilliman and The Silent King are going to fight:
Man the hair on the back of my neck is tingling Guilliman meeting the Lion.😮 You sir are making this so exciting awesome.
It would go against all the lore we currently have regarding Szarekh for him to instigate a fight, and would go against Guilliman's character for him to instigate one either.
Ah, ABBAdon - he can dance, he can jive, having the time of his life. . .
What’s gonna make or break this book is the ratio of time we spend with characters we care about vs the Dawn of Fire only people.
I AM PRAYING FOR LION AND GIRLY MAN REUNION PLEASE
Bro if the Silent King comes back after Aeons to be clapped by the Blue Boys.. Ultramarines will never overcome the Plotarmor accusations 😂😂
I see what you mean. The weird thing is that such a massive shift for the Imperium is in a book about The Silent King. You'd think it's a Necron story.
I'd like to see Vashtorr defeat the Silent King and really shake up the power levels in the setting.
Don't forget Bobby G also has the plot armor of the ultramarines
Will you have had to have read the rest of the dawn of fire for this one, or would be ok if you just uptodate on pariah nexus.
This is actually my worst nightmare my favorite character in my favorite faction is going to be dumbed down to just another wall for the ultra marines to just run through. And to reveal that behind the wall chaos was the real threat the whole time.
Hand of Abaddon, book 8 special edition is still available. But the 9th book might be sold out in minutes!
I think they’re gonna link up. I think when Gman went to the emperor and had his brain assautled that the big E let slip some images on how to properly bring him back. Gonna need the Necrons and the space elves
Gonna sound heretical but I'd kinda love it if Guilliman and Szarehk decide to make an alliance, I mean the Imperium and Necrons teaming up would be scary for anything in their way
It actually makes fucking sense to do that plus i remember the silent king having some connection to sanguinius but that was when i was just getting into 40k so that may have been a fever dream
yes. and the necron pylons could be a gamechanger vs chaos
that would be sick, especially with the reports of ghazghkull rounding up the last Orcs and the remake of their mega weapons. the necrons may have the tech to aid the imperium in their attacks against them
So many things could go into this book but probably won't because it'll end up a narrative mess if they do. This may set the stage for future novels to move into all these directions finally but I can't see it having any of the major players outside of Guilliman,Szarekh,Cawl and Vash'torr. Happy to eat a hat if I'm wrong
The Emperor will probably use Gorillaman as an avatar. Emperor vs Emperor. This is going to be soooo sick.
So, this book could probably have Guilliman And the Lion vs The Silent King, Abaddon, Vashtorr, and as this couldn't be enough, also Magnus?
Oh boy.
Makes perfect sense .... 8 books about the hand of Abbadon and the Inquisition playing cat and mouse for book 9 to jump to the Bobby G vs the Silent King.
Imagine if forest walk can bypass a nexus, to still plop out where you want
Lion with the clutch would be insane
I'd still like to see roboute and the lion interact like dutch and dylan from predator.
The fight we've been waiting for since G man came back!
Surprised you haven't covered the events in DOF Book 8 (Hand of Abaddon). There's actually some pretty impactful plot points in that one
I can't wait until 12th edition when the Tyrannic War gets wrapped up!
I will be waiting for new Primaris Units.
Is this going to be how Guilliman finally hears about the return of the Lion?
where does he get those banners from in the background?
As long as our favorite kleptomaniac Trazyn appears then I'm cool.
I have.. concerns.
Considering what has been happening over the last few books, this is a massive pivot from those plot-hooks.
I guess I’ll finally finish painting my Indomitus box set! 😅
Why did no one ever write a book for the Terran Crusade?
I hope it’s more than 1 book with how long they made us wait
I want to know how it ties into the Hand of Abaddon and the reforged weapon also. Since that has been another focus of the series.
He better not get stabbed into a coma before reuniting with the Lion...
Guilman: brother
Lion: brother
Trazyn: Trazyn
I thought dawn of fire was a prequel to dark imperium does this book take place after dark imperium or will the retconn it a little bit
If Gulliman and the Lion don't reunite in this book, Black Library would've ROYALY screwed up
This is my guess G man will get injured and lion will save him. Silent king will win that battle. A ton of imported characters will die on the ultramarine chapter, sisters etc and little on necron. G man cant die it will piss people off but if he dies and gets a massive buff thanks to the ethe big E.
I literally said this would happen on stream last night
and it did happen 😂
Corax will turn up to rescue Guilliman calling it now
Hopefully Guilliman and the Silent King and up in a bro embrace and decided to be secret allies to fight chaos and the tyradnids.
I feel like Vals opening sentence was directly aimed at me.
But Bobby G cs the Silent King!
Shut up and take my money GW!
Can't wait for His Majesty to wipe the floor with that puny human warlord.
Would be cool to see the silent king just clear things up by calling up his homeboy Dante
Hmm if I remember correctly Dawn of Fire takes place before Dark Imperium .. so I dont think the Lion will make a appearance ... unless the books skips forward a lot
That said What I could se is that Vashtor find something that will give him access to the arks, putting the Arks of Omen plot into motion.
cawl has been trying to get necrons to ally with him
Thanks for your vids.
I'm skeptical. One book to wrap up all the Dawn of Fire plotlines AND introduce a new story of Necron vs Guilliman? I feel like you would need 2-3 books to do that properly
