- Big dinners just got easier, thanks to the BLACK+DECKER 14-Cup Rice Cooker. Cooking takes just 20-40 minutes, and the unit keeps the delicious, fluffy rice ready to serve long after cooking is complete with an automatic "keep warm" function. Use it as a steamer too! The included steaming basket lets you prepare healthy meals with vegetables, fish, and more. Cleanup is a cinch with the dishwasher-safe, nonstick bowl and tempered glass lid. Plus, you can use the cooker to prepare soups, stews, and even oatmeal!
I’ve had that mini rice cooker for over four years, got it on sale for less than $20 and boy has it paid for itself. I notice they are still selling this series and haven’t changed the design at all. I mean, if it ain’t broke…
Just cooked a Pkg of knors broccoli and rice. My pot is same name b&d probably 3 cups but it's an older one never used _$2 thrift store score. 200 watts so I can cook with it in my car with the inverter.
The instructions are a little confusing since the woman says, “2 cups of water to one cup of rice, and then says the measuring cup is about 3/4 of a cup.” So is it 1:2 ratio or 3/4:2 ratio?
1:2 ratio.
the instructions couldn't be anymore unclear. Nice job making a simple task frustrating
what ever happened to that great "cookbook" that came with the ricer? I bought my first in 1992--but after YEARS it finally quit. I made the mistake of throwing that little book away BECAUSE I figured I would get another one when I bought another ricer---I DIDN'T! What I got was a page with 2 paragraphs in English---DAMN IT!
I have one its great
Why do i need to restart my cooker 2 - 3 times to get my rice cooked.
Hi..I have bought the 16 cup Black and Decker rice cooker and no matter what, the rice always sticks to the bottom of the pan anf is crusty ,brownish and over cooked) I have followed the ratio water and rice, have rinsed the rice , use different kind of rice...but the problem remains. How can I stop this from happening? I bought this rice cooker so as not to have to keep a close eye on the rice while cooking but it is as much demanding than cooking in a pan over the stove. Thank you.
I've had the same problem. Mixing it well helps.
Try letting it sit a few minutes after it has finished cooking before removing the lid.
Add butter to rice while it's cooking and some more butter after you fluff it up. This should stop it from burning and sticking.
damn 28 cups
lol....I've been laughing watching this.
6 cups would be more than enough for a family of 4.
Why? becaus an asian man had said so.
A+
the 3 cup model has a maximum level of 1.5 cups of water. You just said a good rule of thumb is 2 cups of water per 1 cup of rice. Who are the buffoons who are in charge of this?
im making my rice cause my mom left for milk and hasnt came in 4 hours.
