These get pretty hot just charging my cell phone under normal use. Not sure this is the safest way for hardwiring a dashcam

Do the 12v to 5v board have a power cut off function? Or can it suck empty my batterie?

connect to ignition otherwise it will slowly drain the battery.

Where is the positive wire soldered on to? The ground is to the chassis, but where is the positive soldered onto?
