      This was excellent to see! How many 3-D projects, like clay, do you do per grade?

    • @Managingthemess
      @Managingthemess  Год назад

      @@juztnlast953sorry I missed this question! I do one clay project with each grade and 2 with K (pinch pots and clay houses). I do at least one other 3D project with each grade plus weaving and/or sewing. I hope that helps!😊

    what do you do with any clay scraps? I am doing a project that leaves a lot of leftover and i am not sure how to easily split it up evenly when its not in a block like it comes in.

    • @Managingthemess
      @Managingthemess  7 месяцев назад

      I use the scraps with my upper grades that get more choice in their clay assignment. My 5th graders make clay gargoyles and 6th makes a clay animal that also must be a functional item.

    Will plastic bags work instead of zip lock?

    • @Managingthemess
      @Managingthemess  10 месяцев назад +1

      Sure! When I use store plastic bags I use two and tie them. I hope that helps!

    Do you fire your examples first? My problem is that if I made examples first I wouldn’t have a full load to fill the kiln.

    • @Managingthemess
      @Managingthemess  9 месяцев назад

      I usually do a few examples at once. By this I mean a few different projects or an extra few example variations to show what to do/not to do. You can fire the kiln without a full load. Once I have examples I take photos and videos of them to share with students. I then add student work photos/videos to my slides after they complete the lesson.
