Great video!! I've owned my Leatherman Micra for more than 10 years and done my own review on it. I love this multi tool got the stainless steel version as well as the coloured green version.
I usually don't need pliers nearly as often as I do scissors or screwdrivers, so I end up carrying my Micra pretty much all the time in the coin pocket of my jeans. I really like how small and light it is for containing all of the tools that are most useful to me. One of my many Spyderco folders will usually be clipped next to it in my hip pocket. I'll also have a BLF A6/Astrolux S1 flashlight in my back pocket next to my wallet. The video that you posted about that flashlight a while ago was actually what convinced me to get it. Together, the Micra, a Spyderco folder, and the A6/S1 make quite the effective and decently lightweight EDC combination.
I find that now adays people look at you like you are a psycho or criminal if you have any type of knife. Growing up in Oregon, where a knife is pretty much a essential tool and never having hurt anyone with a knife if my life, I resent this attitude.
I generally wear them in the yard at home or at the camp site. I carry pocket knives all the time, and no one says anything. No weird looks, no nothing.

Don't know how many people have boasted about their $20 gerber and turned their nose up at my "half plastic toy" Manix2.
I have considered many different options and the one I keep coming back to for a keychain is my Victorinox Manager. Covers most of those functions mentioned in this review with an added pen (very useful). Also carry a Leatherman Rebar in my backpack with a full bit set and adapter. In my pocket I often change which knife I carry on the day, but the manager and rebar are always with me (yes the backpack is always with me on my wheelchair with the rest of my emergency repair kit and mini pump:))
The micra is super useful for me. I simply can't go a day without it. I've discovered you could lengthen the hold on the blade and screw drivers etc by opening it straight out and keeping it like that, rather than opening, pulling out the knife/screwdriver tool and closing it back up to make the grip fat.

I bought the Squirt first, thinking the pliers would be great to have, but realized that I use scissors more often than pliers and the scissors on the Micra are much better than the ones on the Squirt. Also, the pliers are too small to be useful for most tasks.
I know you seem to prefer leatherman to victorinox, but the Vic rambler is pretty cool. Adds a combo Phillips head/bottle opener to the classic sd. I’ve found it to be durable for what it’s designed for and is the perfect size for a key ring. I’ve found the micra to be too big for my keys and too small for useful pocket carry.

Loved this review. I think I have all of those mini multi tools. I really like the Leatherman PS. When I travel that is my go to TSA friendly tool as I had to break off the knife blade on my Victorinox Manager. So pissed! I’ve flown for years and down to South America 4 times and never had a problem. But once in friggin’ Minneapolis and they make me pull it out. Oh well now I have to try and do some kind of cool mod. Great video!
This vid is and “oldie but a goodie”. I’ve been carrying the micra for years and really like it. I had a style but almost lost it monthly for the year or so I had it because the carabiner doesn’t stay shut on a key ring.
The smallest Victorianox there is a fantastic option for someone like a teacher or a secretary or office worker. Someone who is only going to need to trim strings from their garments or open a letter for the most part.
I like both the Style, the Squirt and the smaller SAK's, but I notice that the lacking pocketclip makes me leave them at home most of the time. A carabiner is just less sleek and convinient for carry, in my eyes.

I generally resist upgrades like this personally. You're getting a purple handle and more edge retention. If you can get a decent price for your old PM2 and only pay a little more, it's worth it I guess... just for more cuts per sharpen.
Only downside I see in the Micra - you need to open it to use the beer opener. Still I gave one to my girl. My choice - alox classic (for the thinnes) + dedicated keychain beer opener from Leatherman (because I am too lazy to carry full size benchmade pro-model bottle opener). Keep the good work.
I carry a squirt all the time and rebar when it's time to get serious (because that's the only time I wear a belt). I use the squirt pliers a lot, for picking up stuff I don't want to touch, like a dead mole my cat brought me, or getting a firm grip on something that my fingers slip off of, like a stubborn piece of duct tape or one of those hateful flat tacks stuck in a wall.

Gerber Dime is really good for the money. The build quality is a lot better than you'd expect from a $15 multiool from Gerber. It also comes in purple.
I own scads of tiny multitools (larger ones too) because I purchased a couple of 30# knife/multitool boxes at an auction. How many do you want? lol After seeing so many broken and bent blade tips I think every one should carry something like this to use as a pry tool.
I haven't dabbled with Gerbers much since those days when they had those one handed opening pliers that rattled a lot. I might try out Gerbers in the future, but have had a mostly unfair bias toward them for years.
Umm... the Squirt Es4 that I have doesn't have tweezers... I think the tweezers were only on the "RadioShack" Leatherman Squirt E4, the one without scissors.
I have the older squirt S4, which is basically a less robust micra with the weak tweezers of the style. The 'ruler' on the file is a a joke, completely faded, and I've lost the tweezers. Being able to open the tools without having to open the scissors is handy though. 13 years of use and it still works, just looks trashed.

For grooming the Style wins because the tweezers actually work like real tweezers do. The MICRA needs to update the tweezers otherwise it's a wonderful, classic design. However the Style does everything the MICRA can do in a minimal package that's super functional with the built in caribiner

Squirt pliers pull hairs/splinters fine. Can always buy a replacement SAK tweezer (pref. filed to needle nose) and slip inside - if anal drill a small divot and with a drop o superglue put a tiny neodymium magnet in then tweezers stay even if tools totally open and shook!

The version of the style with pliers and scissors was my first multitool. Still have it, and i love it.
The micra is super useful for me. I simply can't go a day without it. I end up using the pliers on the Squirt as tweezers more often than pliers but the wire cutters have come in handy a lot so I stuck with it.
I have two squirts. Yeah the pliers are tiny enough they could work as tweezers in a pinch.

You can use the needle-nose pliers of the PS4 as tweezers. They're that good.

I like micra but i prefer the style cs on my keychain. I use the micra in my first aid kit tho. they all serve a purpose.
Love the Micra but use the CS more for fishing for cutting line. Is easier to just attach the CS to your belt loop. The Micra is too nice to lose.
The Squirt PS4 is the only Leatherman I own, and it's pretty damn great. Also, um... I like turtles.

Oh no it’s not me. It’s definitely an asshole subscriber. I see it in my analytics. However if an individual is stupid enough to subscribe to a channel they don’t like and continue to watch my videos- there’s nothing I can do. Unfortunately I think there’s only one cure for that.
