Same incident happened with me also while shifting car from Chennai to kanpur... This is how they operate.... 1.These persons will quote lesser amount first. We will be trapped and go for booking. 2. They will get initial amount and after 10 or 15 days only they will start shifting thru any cheap cargo truck.. 3. Meanwhile someone will contact and say ur car has reached destination and u have to pay lot more than initially quoted amount. 4 .Now since ur car is with them, u have to pay the amount...then also they will delay your delivery or ask for more amount... So pls don't go for carshifting through lesser quoted amount... only go through known person, or through driver, or throughout renowned parcel services....
