    hello! new subscriber :)) I heard about you from Wally's Supreme Gecko. I am enjoying your iso videos - thanks for starting conversations and challenging us to think. I am in US, been wondering about the Komodo CACO2 you use...and the sea earth, is it only available in Canada? Sea earth sound awesome. Perhaps the CACO2 is similar to calcium sand sold by several retailers for desert reptile species? ok thanks, have a great day !

    • @themadaquarist
      @themadaquarist  2 года назад +1

      Thank you kindly and welcome.
      The calcium carbonate would be the same as any of the reptile products sold in the US. Zoomed would be perfect. The Komodo brand is from the UK I believe but was what was available at the time.
      As for the sea soil this brand is one I’ve used and yes it happens to be made in Canada. However one I like even better is a US product sold by a company called fox farms. It not only has the ocean minerals etc…. But also worm castings and the piece do resistance Bat Guano!!!! An incredible source for the many cave dwelling cubaris species.

    Wont it become mold if the feed put on the moist substrate?

    • @themadaquarist
      @themadaquarist  2 года назад +3

      One would think yes but it disappears long before it would have a chance. In the event it did the springtails would handily take care of it

    Hi with the moisture would that cause molds?
