Spending time with family is "now". You'll always find something in the future that will be a topic for your videos. Will be watching my mail for whenever the next one comes out.

If you happen to change your mind at some point, Ryzen is definitely worth the money. The worst part is the RAM, since Ryzen is heavily dependent on memory speed. Any decent 16GB memory kit is ~$180+ and who knows when prices will drop.

If you want to easily add and remove bookmarks, the only distro/desktop that I know of that allows you to right-click and remove is Elementary OS/Pantheon. The version I am running is 5.0 Beta 2. If you want to add a bookmark, all you have to do is right click on the icon of the folder you want to add and select "add". I hope this helps. I know you were on Elementary OS for a while, but moved to Ubuntu/Budgie. Hope you had a great summer and I look forward to when you post a new video.

I went strictly Linux December 2005. The only thing keeping me with a Windows computer was Quicken. I really like that software application for doing personal finances. I've learned to live without it. There are some Linux versions of personal finance but none that came close to Quicken. I am retired now, so many of the items I tracked before are not tracked now. Makes life much simpler. My hobby, Amateur Radio, utilizes a lot software for Windows. Not so much for Linux but some is available. More people are making the switch to Linux. Maybe the programmers will the trend and begin writing more applications for Linux that will help. I have no regrets about leaving the paid to use OS to the FOSS. I have save a lot of money over the past 12 years so that I can purchase new hardware when/if I need to do so, but Linux runs so well on older hardware that urge to buy new is sometimes an issue that I have to battle. Have an enjoyable summer with your family.

You don't have to do a ton of videos right away, a few ounces now and then is fine! ;) And you'll like that asrock MoBo, I got one a month ago to replace my Gigabyte 970A DS3p for the same reason, it went belly up & I needed M.2 Nvme support. A fellow can get used to under 10 second boot times (after the 10 second Grub timer)

AJ...No dual booting for me ever... I run Windows 10, Windows 7, Marjaro, and Linux Mint 19 all on the same computer and have a 2 TB drive for all my data that is shared with all these OS's using a HDD power switch module switcher...I just turn on the drive I want to boot to and the others just stay off...I don't understand why more people don't use these things. But check it out, it will change your life and gain you lots of time when something goes wrong like the problems you had when you reinstalled Windows...They are only $30.00...Anyhow, here is a link to what I'm talking about. smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B009XPCL6Y/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
