In the 70's and 80's there were such iconic vehicles the red tomato, the general Lee and bandit trans am also the A team van and many more then these cool rides dissapeared for many years but today a lucky few have the viewing pleasure of watching the iconic taco, morvair and banana (not present today but in are hearts) and Rudy's "burnt onion" (cause he's always having to give it the onion) so in closing thank you fabrats and morr for giving us back those feelings from are youth for these mechanical masterpieces.
Dude, nice sentiments, but you need to learn to spell though, are = OUR in this one, OUR hearts etc.
@@johnhpalmer6098 sorry didn't spell check one word I'm not a english major I work with my hands every day but if it made you feel better to show everyone that I'm dumb and how smart you are I'm glad I could make your day get off your high horse pal with every thing else wrong in this world and you want to give me hell for my spelling that is a miserable way to go through life picking on people's imperfections. Ps I suck at punctuation you might as well point that out to have a nice day. Sorry to paul and Michelle for ranting on your comment section .
When Paul spots everything is right with the world. Front locker for Rudy. He's dangerous. Great vid. Thanks everybody!
I love to watch these collabs. I enjoy watching it on both or all three channels to see it from different perspectives. Keep doing these please.
"feels like straight up fear"!!! That's why we do it is that feeling and you get braver and braver till oops I flopped on my side. LOL
The yota is a monster . Rudy’s jeep suprisngly handles everything. Those tires on the Corvair are almost unfair. Anyhow Paul has one bad a&! Yota!!
A 2000-01 XJ does not surprisingly handle anything, I drove XJs all over Colorado for 12 years and did everything but the most extreme rock crawling because I had no cage, I crushed the sides like Rudy does in this vid though. Set of 33s, 4 inch lift, beefing up the steering to 1 inch is always a good idea but not needed, they will go anywhere. I never get stuck here in Michigan, winch just pulls out other people.
@@barton_dean39 that's a fact, XJ Cherokee is hard to beat
Yeah, I was impressed with Paul's rig. It and the Morrvair were the best of the group for sure. The few times that the Morrvair didn't make it up something was because Matt was just babying it and needed to give a little more gas.
I'm looking forward to Paul's new rig he's working on. Something that's truly made for rock crawling unlike his Toyota that's really meant for hauling stuff into the backcountry.
I hope you don’t ever get stuck in 4” of snow!!
@@BEARHUGOUTDOORS If 4" of snow stops you might as well stay home and take up knitting.
That MORRVAIR just eats them trails up. She's a beast!!!!
Surprised Matt didn't run out of gas.
He got that all fixed up
@@francisschweitzer8431 took him long enough
@@MattsOffRoadRecovery his name is Chevy stepside... He's giving the mopar fans flack 🤣🤣🤣
@@MattsOffRoadRecovery I never said it's not fast enough, I said it didn't have enough range. But that can be fixed with a Jerry can.
When he called Mrs Matt and said he was out of gas. She said you're on your own I'm not taking the minivan out to where you are with the gas can.
Mats off-road recovery next project should be converting the minivan to four wheel drive with lockers and maybe about a 3-in lift so she can bring gas to him ..... off-road scenarios 🙄🙄🙄🤣
Even though you had stuff to do in the shop, it's good you take the time to have some fun.
What a great morning…tagging along with the FabRats crew on another adventure! You guys make this look way too easy. Keep on wheeling! 👍👍👍
I would totally fly to Utah and pay to ride a day on the trails with you. Paul your voice Tone has the most character of all the Guys and could be heard over everyone. Good to watch you guys having fun with family.
Another great video, missed seeing Mrs. Michelle on the trip.
your toymotar and the morvair made that look easy. Rudys jeep made it look epic.
Rudy is a straight up savage in that cherokee
Though he was going sideways on that one shot.
The fact the Dana 30 on the XJ hasn’t blown its self apart is mind blowing! That is one tough Jeep! Awesome video!
Good to see you taking a break to go play and hang out with friends and family !! I was hoping for a little shop time with an update on your sons truck, hopefully you got the pushrods by now ..
Great video as always. I was just in Moab Wednesday and when we got there is was sunny and 103. Then clouds rolled in a flooded the town. The water was to middle of my doors of my Rubicon. It was crazy sad and fun at the same time. Be safe my friend and hello From Beautiful Colorado!
Man you guys live in a awesome place. Where I live I can't even find decent spots for my RC crawlers to go wheeling.
Best part is you all having build rigs but Rudy and his Jeep follows you everywhere.
That Taco takes a backseat to no one. Awesome little trip.🤘🤘 Oh the wife says the new shirt looks great. Thanks guys
The Taco’s departure angle 📐 is awesome 👏🏼… What a awesome lil truck !!
Fabulous trail ride, FabRats. Enjoyed the rock crawling, great to bring kids into the outdoors, as frequently seen. Enjoyed seeing kids involved in outings and in shop on projects. Keep on making the videos.
I applauded Paul! He made it look easy! 👍
Looked like a great day, brakes or no breaks! 🤭😁🤣😂
Just not the same without Michelle screaming and laughing
I was just watching some of your old videos , like your work on the old IH flatbed and now a new video ! perfect timing !
You applaud for those you're not sure they will make it - You knew Paul would make it !!!
We see what you've made the "taco" into, and what it can do, I can't wait to see your dedicated rocker crawler!!!!
Nice trail nice to see everyone having fun and not breaking
When wheeling with a spare on the back, take all the air out so it deforms on the ledges and not the body panels. If you wheel you have an air supply so no problem to air it up when needed.
Holy Cr*p! That was amazing! What a show of vehicle agility and driving skills. You guys are the best!
12:55 some excellent spotter advice right there!!!
Colt is such a neat person , he has such a great attitude . Looked like a great time out wheeling . I talked to your cousin Bret today on the phone . I thought I would interduce myself to him since I pretty much always comment on his IG page. He seems like such a nice person. I'm hoping to meet all of you soon . Until next time take care and be safe .
Looks so fun ! Good times , nice to take the kids out and enjoy nature's beauty
Paul and his Toyota. Makes everything look so easy. Got to love the taco.
What a great trail ride! Paul, Matt and Rudy have built some very capable vehicles and they all are skilled off road drivers. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us sane folks!
Keep these videos coming. Gives me something to look forward to Sunday morning before I go to work!
Yeap ya gotta balance all that work with some play Paul. That little excursion looked F U N!!
That Corvair is is about the coolest off road ever. What a great build.
That white Toyota is a GOAT !!
Like, Go Over Any Terrain!
Let's all take a minute to appreciate Rudy's xj, Rudy's beats the brakes off that poor thing (literally) and it just keeps on runnin. Paul's toyota is untouchable, and the morrvair is in a class by itself. Love the video boys
Rudy showing us what an XJ is capable of
I love Paul's pickup. When I was a kid, my buddy and I worked for his dad on his dad's farm. His dad had a Toyota with a wooden work bed, oversized rubber, and lived it's life constantly in 4L. It would go anywhere you could imagine in wet and snowy central OH. Before the days of side by sides, that was what we had and I've always wanted to make one like it.
Rudy is just hangin' back letting Matt do the R&D on the Banana before he really does any changes. Smart fella that Rudy (if you believe what I said is true).
Well said.
My old XJ did all of Poison Spider 100% stock. No lift, lockers, nothing. I'm AMAZED at what Rudy did on this thing with stock axles. I was totally expecting to hear "the pop"
Nice Collab video fellas!
That's some pretty fair wheelin there. Winches can be a good thing. Thanks for taking us along. Enjoy the Arbys.
Matt didn't give the trial experience justice, man that's straight-up rock crawling extreme, I can't believe what you guys do. Thanks for making the experience and as a Toyota guy, well done.
Dang, a day of good wheeling and then some Arbys? That is a win!!! The daughter at the end cracked me up. She is back there like "You do your thing, Dad, I am enjoying some curly-fries!
Jace seems moody. I wonder if he hitting on Lizzie and got rejected? Hey little buddy, keep trying. Kind of like wheeling, you find the right line and you are in like Flynn!!
He probably didn't try, "Howdy, howdy, time to get rowdy" line.
I'm thinking it would take a hell of a cowboy to hang with Lizzie.
O my goodness boys that's some crazy trails you were all on. Utah is beautiful state.
Rudy sure could use some rock sliders on his XJ.
It's always great to see you put the Toyota to work Paul. It's the ultimate proof that you build capable and durable machines. Thanks also for the shots of the Moarvair in your videos. It sure is a good looking vehicle. Personally I'd take the Toyota because I'd hate the fear of scuffing up the Moarvair but it is nice to look at.
You guys seem to have WAY TOO MUCH FUN out there for working people, we all enjoy watching you and Matt and everyone including is in your adventures. Please keep us in mind as you explore.
Great footage of some crazy fab rats having fun.
You guys are certified crazy
Glad to see someone else packs a small Cresent wrench, can't count how many times it saved me and others
YEah, ya need it to flip your vehicle if ya roll it....Sorry Just a Dayz reference....lol
that last climb at the 1259 mark - you sounded surprised. you should not have. The guy that worked on that rear knew what he was doing.
Great Video Paul. Quite the adventure. You and the Winders, never a dull moment. Tough Taco you got there!
Colt it one of the coolest and down to earth guys you'll ever meet
What type of clutch do you run, and how often do you have to replace it? Thanks for sharing the day with us!
I'm always amazed at what places you go with your vehicles, seems almost impossible at times
you should see some these places in person. they look almost flat on camera.
All of those vehicles comported themselves admirably on that snotty ledges trail. I’ve been on that trail in side by sides and it was challenging and fun even in purpose built machines like that, but that Morrvair! Between Matt’s good piloting and the Morrvair’s built in abilities and that sweet sounding V-8 rumble, just make it all look effortless! 😃
They applauded Rudy because they were surprised he made it. Whereas everyone KNEW Paul and the Taco were going to go straight up it 🤣
XJs go everywhere, I have taken them there. Since 87, name a Colorado mountain pass I did it, never did the Rubicon though. 33s, 4 inch lift, everything else stock, you are golden. I had a 87, 92, 95 and now a fully restored 2000 with a new 4.0 engine.
@@barton_dean39 congrats, I guess? Not really sure what your point is.
Yeah, exactly. Rudy made it after 4 or more tries and that's what the applause was for. Whereas Paul made it after 2 tries. His Toyota is much more capable than Rudy's XJ and Paul's skill is likely better than Rudy's too. Both of which are great things of course and deserve praise. Which is why we're watching these videos and supporting the channel!
@@barton_dean39 I had an 87 Cherokee with the Dana 44 rear and the most gutless 4.0 I could imagine even after a full rebuild and putting a cam and new injectors in it. I got rid of it because I'm not a fan of offroading unibody rigs and it was horribly unreliable. I'm actually surprised the unibody is holding up OK for Matt but I'll take a factory fully boxed frame any day.
Man toyota seems do handle those obstacles effortlessly. Great trail! Paul your experience is 2nd to none 👍🏼
All i can say is rudy is having fun and his jeep is hands down the toughest jeep ever created keep up the amazing content fab rats and matts off road recovery
"You're in a Toyota: you might want to give up!" Good thing Matt was there to give you motivation!
The best motivator is a friend that says you aren't going to make it
🤣
I've hiked around the Ledges trail but never driven it.
We will see you on Matt's channel when you decide to drove it right?😊
@@kyleswainston3032 lol, I don't think it'd dare try in my rig. It's an intense trail.
Arby’s! Heck yeah, that was a treat growing up. Classic roast beef, and a turn over.
Well at least you guys aren't hard on your vehicles 🤜💥🤛
That looked like a great trail. Rudy got a little too close for comfort in regards to rolling on the last climb. Liked the tip by Paul, brake and power!
Thanks for taking us along with you on this wonderful adventure.
Y'all Crazy 🤪 but I sure do love your videos can't wait for the next one be blessed always 🥰🤗🥰🤗🥰🤗
Ordered me a Fab Rats hat! Cant wait to get it in the mail!!
Tacoyota hahaha, Rudy with his jeep equals youth and fearlessness Love it.....
I love watching the Morvair, Taco & Rudy's xj do some serious wheelin that xj really is one tough Jeep all the rig's are top notch great driving everyone 😉👍
Thanks for sharing a Great day of crawling !!!!..... rock on 🤘
Great Video Work!!!!!!!!!! Lots of fun. Thanks for taking us with you.
What a fun day. I love watching everyone's videos.
omg! what a crazy trail! felt sorry for the jeep, lol, cheers for another awesome video! Oh applause for Paul and yep, lockers all round is the go!
Sounds like y’all had fun off-roading I enjoy yours videos as well Matt’s off road recovery
Nice trail looked like everyone had fun.
"A few of my kids, a few of Matt's" Praise Utah!
This would have been a good trail to test out the Land Cruiser.
If I could I'd move there tomorrow. You've got a great playground for wheeling'.
I love watching You Tearing up your cars !!
That was fun. I want to see Michelle behind the wheel sometime. 😄 All this just makes me miss home.
That’s got to be better than working. Some of that trail would scare the pants off me!
The Toyota and your driving skills are impressive Paul. If I remember correctly you have a manual gears? Love to watch how you Americans drive in the nature, here in Norway it’s prohibited to drive off roads
But you have Kringla and Krumkakka.
More of morvair and tacos excellent adventures
That has to suck. No wheelin?? So much for freedom..
Dear Mr. River Rat. There’s two sides or a coin. Norway is such small and narrow country, so free wheeling would ruin the good part of our untouched nature. But I surely would like to visit USA and try some. Maybe there’s some who would like to have a paying passenger going through Rubicon. Anyway love Fab Rats
@@HOYTRYKK I see your point, we take a lot for granted here in the US. I’m sure you can catch a ride through the Rubicon. We also have some great wheelin east of the Mississippi. Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee has great trails. It’s more Trees and mud, but some very cool stuff in the mountains.
Great job guys. You guys are awesome together, awesome home made machines. Thank You very much from California.
Heck of a lot of fun watching can't even imagine how much fun it was live. Great camera work and really neat spotting and driving two thumbs up Rudy!
Fun day! Dig the truck Jace, smile a bit bro. LoL Awesome video.
Looks like you had some of the Bleeping Jeep crew there too. Nice to see RUclips off-roaders hanging out together.
Paul makes most of this look effortless! Great Video!
Love when y'all get together and go out crawling , always awesome
Watched Matts Video first followed by this one. I love seeing different perspectives. You guys are great together. Would love an "Origin Story" or some background how you guys got so good at what you do as well as how ya'll met. The Best channels!
ruclips.net/video/EgcDhxJFWqc/видео.html here ya go!
Thank you for your videos. Please keep them coming. You are amazing
Had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Great video!👍👍👍👍👍
Nice, I love these trails videos!!!
I originally started watching Matt's channel (and still do) , loved seeing all the beautiful landscaping in utifull UT hahe... and then everyone grew on me and when I started whatching U guys being a mechanic myself you guys are the icing on the cake, especially with all the family love that clearly comes thru... makes me want to move out there, like Paul said it's God's country out there....Keep up the great content .....missed Michelle on this one...(keep being yourself with that wonderful laugh) haters of that are just jealous hahe....
Beat statement of the day. Had to winch some jeeps through. Thanks for sharing.
Aimlessly driving over boulders.. Sounds like a perfect day to me..
It looks awesome out there, all the rain makes the dunes fantastic!
Great video guys, thanks for sharing.
Beautiful country.....looks like a fun day with friends and family.
Always a good time when you can have fun and “Don’t Break Anything “
This looks like so much fun. But dang can someone get Rudy some rock sliders!! Or tell Matt to give him time off to make him some! Lol
