With how important short game is, I think there needs to be a TXG wedge bracket done by the best in the business.
That’s an awesome idea🎉
Nah, wedges are so personal that it wouldn't really matter. You just gotta try em out yourself and see what you like.

as a cleveland wedge loyalist, these full face wedges are exactly what i've been wanting. love having a spring bday.
Really enjoying your channel. Keep up the good work guys. 👍
As a higher handicap golfer I got fitted after watching TXG. Got Cleveland wedges and love them. I know some ppl are more about the name that they play like Vokey etc. Love my Cleveland wedges. Can’t wait to try the new wedges out. 👍👍👍.
Cleveland are awesome, I’m still using the rtx4 but I might get an upgrade sooner or later
And the halo os woods are awesome
Can't wait for you guys do the water test with this one along side the ping.
Ian is so good in front of the camera
Black version please. Tough finding 50's and 54's. Make more Cleveland.
Wow. The new players wedge looks super clean very Mizuno MP from a few years ago.
Love the RTX 6 - just need it to come in full face too!
I was surprised it didn't have the option too
I’ve been using Cleveland wedges for a while, I was thinking of trying other brands but these look awesome
Beauty!
Dean got me into Cleveland wedges and I'll never play anything else. Love them.
It's really nice to see Cleveland become relevant again in an area where they were dominant at one point in time. I may never go back to a Cleveland wedge from a vokey but I'd feel comfortable with them if I needed to! Great video! Also, a TXG in the Okanagan???? 😍
4K vids are back! Great job guys
lol
To the extent that someone at Cleveland reads these comments, just thought I would pass along my story and what I just custom-ordered today (Feb 9, 2023). I'm early 50s, took decade+ off the game, left as a 10 handicap, over the last 3 yrs after enormous practice, especially short game work, worked my way to scratch. Was a 4 wedge historical player but new bag construction is 47, 52, 58 to free up a club in the long end of bag. Here is my story that I hope will help you with future offerings and also others along this journey - I call it the search for the perfect 52-Degree Chipping & Pitching wedge. To jump to the punch line, I just ordered your new CBX2 Full Face 54/12 C-grind, but with a heavier 132-gram S400 Shaft, bent weaker to 53-degrees, flattened 1-degree, and 1/4" longer with a Midsized Align +4 Grip. My current gamer is a 52 is a Mizuno T20 56/14, bent to 52/10 - basically because I want a gameable 52 that is a C-grind because when you go to a 3 wedge setup, you need your 52 to have a C-Grind to maximize your shot selection around the green (I would have ordered your 52 but it has a less flexible Full Grind that I don't want). I have been searching for the last 2 years for any manufacturer to have a C-Grind 52 - no one offers this - I find this crazy as a 52/58 combo is becoming more & more popular yet everyone's 52 is a full-sole brick that isn't flexible - I can't be the only one that has noticed this??? What I love about the new CBX2 Full-face 54/12 is that it has a C-grind - and the heel section specifically is nice and narrow, almost Pro-like, so the club can be opened to hit those nice slice-spin chip shots - and yet the overall sole width has that wider sole so being a weekend warrior I can just smash it into the ground and rely on the bounce to help me - you could of course just offered this in a 52 C-grind which this post is really about. Ping & Cleveland have had a lot of recent success with Chippers - for me, the wider-soled 52 C-grind is the better player's chipper and should be an offering going forward - and it should come standard with a heavier shaft (S400).
best wedges in the game
Let's Do a test for CB wedges/Callaway Mack Daddy CB wedge vs Cleveland CBX 2 wedge? i.e. 30/45 yards over the bunker/water onto the green with medium to less green to work with and about a 6-foot radius for one putt., for High Handicappers
Recently, I was considering trying different wedge shafts like the difference between a DG spinner and a modus 115 wedge shaft and come to find out that none of the fitters in the Cincinnati area have that ability. Pretty much the only way is to buy the shaft you want to try and install it yourself from Golfworks.
i guess they fit that kida shaft very rarly, but if they got a couple they would have them for the next 5years at little cost.
dissapointed there is no smart sole5. my old 4's are worn out a you just cant find any for sale!
Why would someone get a full face vs standard groove in the CBX? What are the pros and cons of each?
Full face grooves are great for when you open the face up for flop shots, a lot of the time when you open the face it’ll be a toe strike
@@saulgoodeguitars Why not full face on all wedges? Any negatives?
@@rlbjr I guess it’s the looks, I had a full face 60 for a while, I ended up going back to a regular grooved lob wedge.
I only really open the face on bunker shots.
I try not to do full shots with my 60 but I believe it is a fair bit different doing full shots with a full face wedge, so I’m guessing that’s why most people who use a full face only have it in the 60
its just looks, full face lets you till any part of the face and have spin, some people just like the area they look at and try to hit look smaller.
seems like more and more brands are bringing out full face wedges. does anybody here have experience putting just one full faced wedge in the bag? i'm looking at a hi toe 3 lobwedge to go with my vokey 50 and 54
why would you not want fullface, what the point having a part of the face with no spin?
Why aren't all wedges (and even Irons) full face?
Why would they be?
@@yourbestgolf365 whats to advantage to having a part of the face with no grooves? (why wouldnt they be)
@@krusher74 I guess horizontal grooves are less aerodynamic
i believe it's CBX full face 2, because cbx2 is a diff club
