Another quirky little painting, but this time I finally remembered to take a decent scan of the ink sketch before painting.

PEN: A TWSBI 580 fountain pen, Extra fine nib. Platinum Carbon black ink.
PAINT COLORS:
Ultramarine blue
Yellow ochre
Hunter green
Burnt sienna
Davys grey
Quinacridone fuchsia
PAPER: Size- 5"x7"
Arches 140lb Cold Press Paper for this Video.
My papers of choice include Arches and Fabriano 140lb Hot press and Cold press paper and Strathmore 500 series Sketchbooks. All are 100% cotton rag.
For beginners, I recommend starting with a high quality paper and experimenting with different types. As your style develops, you'll get a feel for which type is best. Waiting to switch to a better quality paper later will be much like learning to paint all over again.
BRUSH: A #3 round and Polar Flo 1/2 inch flat brush. The bristles were originally white but have become stained.
New music by Antonio Romo. www.antonioromo...
"Once upon a park"' "The forgotten knight", "The sound of purple", "Yesteryear".

I've said it before and will say it again. I love your work!
❤
Always great to watch and enjoy 😊
Really great. I always learn a lot from your videos, including use of line and retention of the white paper. I find cliffs challenging. You really need to think about where the light is coming from and figure out the tonal values to make them look realistic. Plus brush stroke direction. I liked your cliff.
I also find it interesting that you are able to do the picture in two passes: first ink, then watercolor. I sometimes add further ink and then more watercolor. Generally a less clean look I think.
Thank you Peter for the drawing. I have it ready to go. And this is how I love to paint. Fun simple things until I get better. You are an easy teacher to learn from. I like your uncomplicated style of painting.
Love your paintings...you have a light airy style that fun and unmistakable....🖌️🎨 greetings all the way from Kenya
I so enjoy your paintings… full of whimsy and so original and well executed. Thank you once again. ✨🎨🔆
So beautiful, Peter!! Always a joy to visit and check out your latest video! Very honored to listen to my music! Thank you so much!! 😊🎹
I love it.
I purchased this painting and it arrived today. Absolutely wonderful.
Thank you
Simply Wonderful work!
Well! That sure is a sweet and lighthearted delight today! So cute.
I painted a miniature (one inch) dollhouse scale watercolor of a woman bringing in the wash off the line a month or so ago. It's just a quaint and timeless subject, all around.
This lovely painting evokes fond memories of Tibbett’s Point Lighthouse, Cape Vincent, NY where the St.Lawrence River meets Lake Ontario. The keeper’s house and light with massive fog horn sit high up on a bluff where it is always windy. I can visualize back in time when the keeper’s wife hung out the laundry and a gust of wind sent a piece of it helter-skelter off to Canada. Thank you.
Love the playfulness and simplicity of this!
Thank you very much. So glad you enjoyed it :)
I really enjoyed painting this little tutorial. Thank you. Love these mini painting lessons. 👍
Thanks so much for sharing your talent. I can never get enough of watching you create. Have a wonderful day!!!
Dang you Peter! You just keep cranking out the hits! Great new ideas...refreshing and well done my friend!
Thank you very much, Peter.
HA ! The one that got away .. ; D .... Always a pleasure to watch to create .. always perfect choice of music ..
Thank you Peter, another lovely one....take care and please be safe
Thanks for sharing this piece Peter and to also listen to my mate Antonio’s beautiful music, what else could one wish for 🤗
Love this painting. It tells a story. Where do you find your ideas? Thank you for sharing. I love all your work.
I really like this. I don't live on a cliff near the ocean or any body of water; but, it does get windy here and I know that if I hung my sheets out to dry, they'd probably go flying in the wind like the ones in your painting.
Thank you! I always learn something new, using your tutorials...
J'adore votre façon de manier l'aquarelle !!!! C'est si relaxant de vous regarder😊
Prenez soin de vous! 👍
Another wonderful one, Peter. But they always are.
Thank you , brilliant.
Glad you enjoyed it
@@PeterSheelerart I started copying your work during lockdown, the first time I have drawn or painted anything so thank you for getting me started. It’s such an enjoyable hobby and I now paint all my family’s birthday cards. Just preparing one for my mother who will be 100 on may 28th.
Beautiful as always, thank you for sharing.
Nice work
Ohh... thank you for the sketch!!!!
I love this painting video, Peter. Thank you. The composition is fun and quirky and I like the use of the washing flying in the wind to add movement. Such a lovely little piece. Did you consider selling prints of some of your little artworks? I know some artists who do mini-prints (postcard sized) for people who didn't get hold of the original. Just a thought. Happy painting.
oh this is awesome!!
Lindo...muita leveza,paisagem perfeita...
I look forward to every video you produce, Peter,
and savor every stroke of pen and brush .
Beautiful, simple lines, economy of movement,
lively colors, shades, lights and shadows all combine
to make the eye rejoice.
Thanks once more.
Thanks Peter!
Wondering if this is your usual palette of colors. I want to paint along and think it would be easier to set up a set of colors just for these rather than hunt in my big palette. Thanks.
Great tutorial, thank you. Can I ask is that an ef nib? And what ink do you use in your pen, please?
I could honestly watch you paint rocks and houses for hours! Thank you so much for sharing! I must ask, and forgive me if I sound ridiculous, but is your travel palate a candy bar container / wrapper? If it is, I will love watching your videos even more!
I was wondering the same thing. Did you ever get an answer?
Great work. Fun to watch.
@@dougprovins7487 no. No answer but I think it is a candy bar container.
❤
