I was hooting with laughter over Arne's 'bun in the oven', and then when he offered to take the buns out for a little walk! It didn't seem like Carlos understood that 15 buns might go for fresh air, but 15 would most definitely not return. :o)
😂
I love Arne's sense of humor, SO VERY MUCH! This has been one of the more enjoyable videos EVER. Thank you!
Thank you Mary!
This video is more like a comedy special. So funny and enjoyable. Arne is like a naughty elf. Love you guys.
Thank you Joyce!
I love the casualness of this and the uncertainty, just like normal kitchen processes. Oh my goodness, I laughed so much at Arne’s teasing
Thank you Tricia!
I just returned from a not very nice conference where overworked people unfortunately vented their anger onto another. Imagine my happiness of finding your new video and having a laugh with you about all those beautiful buns...
thank you, I really appreciate you spreading some love and joy in this world! 😘
Thank you for watching Nupsi!
‘Tradition’ is merely something that someone did, that someone else copied, and others thought ‘that is the way we will do it forevermore’. So, Arne’s idea of making names may have started a new tradition. Good for him!!
That is so true.
Almost a year late but it’s never too late for laughter especially in these hard times. Love your channel,
Thank you Clare, but on the other hand you are right on time if you want to make these for Christmas!
I’ve just seen this for the first time too! Wonderful!
Giddy Arne is my favorite Arne especially when he can't stop being creative. And Carlos, the consummate professional that hates raisins is pretty wonderful, too. I love you both so much! Have the happiest and most peaceful holidays and the healthiest of New Year's! Thank you 🎄❣️
You as well and thank you for watching!
You can't imagine how much I enjoy your cooking shows, especially your chatting and childhood reminecsing. Thank-you for sharing your traditions with us.10.17.2022 FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, USA.
Thank you so much for watching!
You had me laughing at the buns in the oven. lol
Thank you Jennifer!
I had open heart surgery A week ago and you both have made me laugh today!!!!!!
I hope you're doing well since your surgery, Elizabeth. Best wishes from Nova Scotia.
May you continue healing well, Elizabeth De Long and I think watching Arne & Carlos will definitely help with that :) Happy Christmas from Stella (aka Mrs. Carruthers) from Toronto Canada
Oh so funny loved you both .. my tummy is hurting from laughing and wanting your buns ... Merry Christmas thanks for the fun and large .. 🎄🎄🎅🎅
Hope you feel better Elizabeth!
Haha they had you literally "laughing into stitches". Speedy recovery and many more laughs!
"You made a cookie that looks like it has to pee"🤣🤣🤣 "We've got buns in the oven" "That's not possible"🤣🤣🤣 Oh my goodness you two are delightful! Thank you for sharing your mom's bun receipe with us Carlos.❤
Thank you for watching!
Happy S.Lucia day! My inspiration boys🥂
Thank you Rose!
I’m with Arne vis-a-vis the eating!
This is a wonderful tradition in our family. My kids are all grown but they now do these with their children. I can feel the warmth of the dough and smell the cardamom as you make these. Thank you!
You are welcome, thank you for watching.
Laughed so hard I screwed up my knitting 🧶. Baking will get better the more u do it....just like knitting. Buns look delicious 😋
Scandinavia according to Arne and Carlos is always!!!more interesting and entertaining than learning about it on the internet. 😀 Happy second of advent!
Thank you Sheri!
Welkommen hjem!!!
Binge watching Arne and Carlos again. Since I discovered this channel not too long ago, I feel I have missed out. I enjoy the entertainment factor... who knew that a couple of guys could be so naturally engaging! 🧶
Hi Laura! We are glad to hear that our videos stand the test of time!
What a fun video. Laughed so hard when the mixer started spinning and still up. I have done that myself. Hugs g
I've been binge watching and enjoying your videos for the last few days, if not weeks! I love your energy and the good mood your videos bring me. You're also very inspiring knitting wise. I've picked up my UFO since I started watching you and hope that it'll stop being a UFO and become an actual finished project very soon! Thank you so much for bringing joy and inspiration!
You are welcome and thank you for watching!
Amen times are changing

Thank you Antoinette!
I’m a life-long Lutheran and have never celebrated St. Lucia! This year I’m going to make my own lussekatter and coffee for December 13, and, yes, I will be eating the raisins!
We hope you like them!
Love your videos❤️ My grandma and mom were born in Oslo. Grandma was born 1900, mom in 1920. Moved to USA in 1923. I loved hearing my grandmas stories of Norway. She would make us Rommegrot which she lovingly called Santa Claus nummy for us. Made on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. I love it still today at age 65. Thank you for taking time to teach us. Happy and healthy Christmas and New Year to you both.
You are welcome and rømmegrøt is delicious.
I loved the video, as always. And the naughty, Erne. In the minute 17.05, When Carlos says ... You want to have a nice big bun, don't you? And Erne answer... Not to big! And laugh, saying big buns, from there on, I started laughing and to think, Arne is a naughty guy, I love him, he did it again, like last Christmas. And I love when Carlos gets shy. I really love you guys. If you ever come to South Texas, please stop by, I can cook for you guys, some delicious Mexican Food.
Thank you for the invite!
@@ARNECARLOS You guys are quite welcome, It will be my pleasure.
Arne is too funny .. without trying.. Thankyou for sharing your traditions..and making new ones.. xx Good team... love to you both and Freja..
Thank you Judy!
I love Arne’s humor. Thank you always
Thank you!
Arne you’re cute as can be. Makes me laugh which is what I need after I get home from work. Thank you!
Hilarious. I so enjoyed seeing the “Great British Baking Show” done Arne&Carlos style. No one in England ever crochets or makes jokes about being pregnant or compliments the ingredient packaging. Simply another joyful visit that leads me to non- stop smiling with delight. You definitely give Paul Hollywood a run for his money! God Advent.
Thank you Shirley!
Lucekatter are definately now on my Christmas baking list. Thanks guys!
a lovely tradition....does Arne know that he is a funny funny guy? I laughed throughout the episode, and my birthday is on Santa Lucia's day so maybe I should make some for myself!! Enjoy!
Do give them a go!
I love watching you in the kitchen. Thank you for sharing your mom’s recipe, Carlos. You are both very generous and big hearted.
Thank you!
Arne, you always see the little things like the design on the flour package.🥰
What fun I had in the kitchen watching you make the buns
Thank you!
You guys are too funny! Think I'll have to try your Lussekatter recipe. I'm with you Carlos, I hate raisins!
Thank you Judie!
This was wonderful. I laughed so hard at the end that I was crying! You two are so great. Thank you!!!
Thank you Dawn!
Hilarious! I've been crying with laughter, and the buns looked delicious. Thank you
Guys you are so sweet! I love "Immacolata" festivity (Dicember the 8th) where, we italians, normally finishing up the Christmas decoration, tree and presepe. And off course i love Santa Lucia festival (December 13th) where legend says Lucia give food to poor peoples during cold dark night. She use to wear candles on her head so she didn't need to carry light with her but only food for the poor. Your Lussekatter remind me a bit of the sicilian sweet called "Occhi di Santa Lucia" prepared during that festival every year :)
Thank you Claudio!
It's always fun to hear and see how others celebrate the holiday! The buns look delicious!
Thank you!
The buns look wonderful. You make a great baking pair.

Thank you, Gentlemen, for sharing the lore of St. Lucia and the recipe. Blessings to you both.
Thank you for watching!
He's crocheting a thousand miles an hour, barely looking at the work, while he talks.......gives new meaning to "multi-tasking." Enjoy hearing about your customs/holidays.
Thank you!
Oh my gosh, I'm crying!! :'D Thanks for the laugh, Guys! xx
You are welcome!
Love your stories and enthusiasm for introducing us to your traditions. Great, great fun.
Thank you Linda!
You see? I leave in Australia, my parents brought me here ( to Australia) when a was a young girl... But I born in South America too... That's amazing, que casualidad!
Yes!
What a joy to watch you baking Lusseketter! You did a fabulous job. The cakes look delicious.
Thank you Maria!
You two made my entire holiday season! Arne may have a future in comedy. Love both of you to bits! 😘😘
Thank you Kathleen!
Sitting here knitting Julekuler and watching you guys make lussekatten. Getting real Scandinavian for Xmas here in Tx, y'all. I love how you guys are so supportive of one another.
Thank you and have fun knitting!
Oh my envy! You have a red pot with white enamel! I love them! What a lovely kitchen! And the lid on the mixer is awesome! I miss living in Europe!
Thank you Emily!
I remember learning about St Lucia in elementary school....in Texas, believe it or not! LOL But all I remember is the crown of candles and the blonde hair and the tray of cakes!
Wow, that is amazing.
Haha all the bun jokes... and Carlos trying to keep a straight face and the recording going according to plan. I think it is very difficult to talk while cooking or baking, and Carlos had to deal with the filming, the uncertainty of baking, the recipe and Arne‘s spontanity 🤣 Kudos Carlos. Sorry you couldn’t talk Arne out of adding raisins in the second batch. 😜 I agree raisins are just unnecessary.
That is true, filming is not as easy as it looks!
When I make our family recipe for Christmas shortbread I use candied cherries on top. My daughter always picked them off because she hates them. So one year I made a batch without the cherries just for her and she complained: "But mom there has to be cherries on top so I can pick them off!" Traditions eh? LOL
😂
You both did fabulous, the Arne & Carlos buns at the end, perfect. Happy St. Lucia Day!
Thank you!
I love when you make Norwegian food, my great grandfather was Norwegian but I was never shown Norwegian cooking. I'm going to try these
Good luck!
I love you guys! You are so down-to-earth.

Merry Christmas Arne and Carlos! I always love listening to your stories! God Jul from Finland!
When I make this I usually just make round buns, and i use eggwash and coarse sugar on top before baking. Sometimes I serve them with whipped cream in the middle. So good!
That sounds delicious!
I was watching the video you posted today about the Lussekatter and remembered seeing this post where you actually bake them. I am going to try making these this weekend. You two are so hilarious when you cook togehter. Happy Santa Lucia Day!
Perfect recipe. Tusen takk.
As we are at the beginning summer, I used half fresh cherries from my back yard instead of dry grapes. Delicious.
Hola me encanta verlos y escuchar y muy interesante las anécdotas 👏🏻🌲
Thank you Rosalba.

Thann you Melissa!
You're right Arne, the only people who could eyeball exact amounts are bakers and potters. Your amounts were spot on. 👍
Thank you Deana!
Looks delicious. My Norwegian grandmother always made fattigmans for Christmas.
Thank you Deborah for sharing!
I LOVED this‼️. Every year you bake or cook a traditional recipe and it always looks so yummy! This year the video was so much fun to watch. You both can be very funny! 💕👍🏻. I hope you let us know what Arne made you after the holidays 🤗
Thank you Robyn!
Arne: Do you know what buns in the oven means?
LOL!!!!! ...and the looks Arne gives to the camera while Carlos is talking and baking.
Such a great video to laugh with you two and learn to bake the Lucia Buns.
Thank you Maria!
Happy Santa Lucia day!
😃
Its November 2022. Arne is too funny with the “buns in the oven”. Here in America it is an expression well known. So, I am very impressed that Arne knew it meant a lady pregnant. 😊 Loving the recipe and will try it. Loving looking at your older video’s that still apply now. I would put sliver of almonds on it or even currants. You two compliment each other. Kindness in action. You are traveling in the USA this month and in Maryland where I live. Love to see you both.
Thank you so much Bernadette!
Oh god, this is one of the funniest videos I've watched in a while!!
Aweee doing have some of those ingredients here ?
Thank you!
Yummy buns thanks for sharing with us so much fun.
Brambleknits 🤗
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing tradition during holidays. It was great to see yummy treats. Going to attempt to make them too. You made my day brighter,Great job!💜
Thank you Colleen!
Another fun video, you guys give me plenty of belly laughs. Carlos, I’m happy to see another person who hates raisins. My friends think I’m silly for picking out all the raisins.🤮
Carlos, a suggestion! Try, in place of raisins, put in dried cherry, cranberry, or even golden raisins. Ta Da!
Thank you for this tip!
Such fun, thank you!
You are both such a delight.
Thank you Marcia!
Love you guys!! I enjoy learning about your cultural food. I cant wait for advent to come and enjoy watching the segment. Thank you for letting us into your wonderful loving home. Many blessing to both of you. Lots of love from Canada.
Thank you Tammy!
