    The observatory was such a peaceful place amidst the troubled world of Termina. To me iIt always was an invitation to take a rest from all the stress and chaos, and enjoy the relaxing music, just like the fairy fountains.

      Necro but I ran out the clock soo many times as a kid just chilling out in the observatory instead of actually doing anything else! Some of those times I even forgot to rewind time because I was too into it, and since Link was in the observatory my interpretation is he watched the moon coming down from the big telescope lol

    As a child, I was really scared by the spider-skulls in the passage. Reaching the Astral laboratory felt like a great reward to me... thank you for the song.

    It is a crime this only has 10,000 views. Its my favourite Zelda track and this is an amazing version of it. Long time fan man, I listen to your music all the time whilst working on my own channel

    God I love this tune. One of the underappreciated gems of the series. Would be amazing if it made an unexpected return.

    that transfer into fairy fountain was inspired. somehow i never noticed the similarities.. though i did notice the two map themes in mario 3 that were similar to fairy fountain..

      When I first came up with my list of songs, I was debating between the fairy fountain and this song. And then when i was working on my arrangement, I was like......HMMMMM COULD I DO BOTH?

    • @MaxScheibenpflug
      @MaxScheibenpflug 8 лет назад +1

      And it turned out absolutely great. Nevertheless it should not stop you from doing an exclusive fairy fountain tune (because it's simply such a great piece of music). ;)
      Oooor, for another great transistion: ever noticed how World 3 of Super Marios Bros 3 has the same music as fairy fountain...?

    This hits just the kind of atmosphere the observatory was going for while still being quite transformative. It isnt the same piece but it still captures that otherworldly feel

    I happened to refresh my page when you uploaded that vlog, and I really wanted to say I totally relate. I'm going through the same thing, as I'm trying to discipline myself into studying more for university. I'm watching the days go by, I know what I'm (not) doing is gonna bite me in the arse, yet I'm having a hard time doing what my goals require. My approach on trying to excercise discipline on studying is very similar to what you discussed. Good luck!

    I just discovered this channel, and I'm in love! I love the 80s style synths. This has always been my favorite song from Zelda, It has an otherworldly peaceful quality and you did so much justice to it! If I may request, I would love to hear your rendition of Smash Bros Melee theme or the target break song, they already have an 80s vibe to them and you would knock it out of the park!

      The Game Boy is actually playing the main fairy fountain sequence you hear. I was just fiddling with the outside of the game boy because it was late and I was exhausted.

    First maybe

  • @TheOfficalAndI
    @TheOfficalAndI 8 лет назад

    Feels crowded and doesn't capture the feeling of the original in my opinion.

    • @AmieWaters
      @AmieWaters  8 лет назад +4

      +&I the original has way more going on, but maybe it's the added pads that give it that for you. The original is more frantic and busy. So I definitely shied away from that in my arrangement. I wanted to go more dreamlike and spacey than funhouse.

    • @SunderCR
      @SunderCR 8 лет назад +2

      IMO capturing a new feeling is something that all covers and remixes should strive to do. If I wanted the same feeling, I'd just listen to the original. A new spin is a new perspective, a new train of thought, a new feeling, and ultimately is what the artist themself brings to the track.
