Don't be afraid to educate them, I know it's difficult to get them to understand and undo the anti israel indoctrination they have recieved, I have two Iranian and Pakistani origin friend in Canada and they have told me about the challenges they faced while trying to educate their families and friends anti israel views. But they both said it's worth it since they managed to dispel many myths and propoganda.

A very, very good video i wish a lot of people will watch and finally understand what is going on. Here in the Netherlands there is also a lot of people talking of brutality from the side of Israel, but they don't take the time and interest in finding out why Israel is striking Hamas. Absolutely! Jews here in Argentina live in peace but we've had an attack to the embassy of Israel some 20 years ago and then another Jewish NGO was hit. Is tearing babies out of their pregnant mother’s wombs and then beheading them your idea of peace? Or how about burning people alive? The photos have been made available to the public because otherwise the naive leftists of the West won’t believe it really happened. Israel has made many overtures to make peace. The Palestinians have never wavered from their goal to destroy Israel. There is no moral equivalence here. Israel has never committed the kinds of atrocities that happened this month. They say that if people tell a lie long enough, others will start to believe it, which means that you are part of the problem. Do your research and stop listening to fascist propaganda. Because, my friend, Islamists will not stop at destroying Israel; they will come for you next.

It is a great explainer Doron. I disagree on one aspect, "proportionality". There are clear measures of proportionality required under international law, based on strategic war needs vs civilians hurt. Israel follows these requirements. The legal position is very complicated in Gaza because of the use by Hamas of civilian infrastructure. I don't claim to understand international law but a Tel Aviv University strategic think tank INSS, have a RUclips channel with explanations from experts.

I think you avoid my point. His depiction oversimplifies the several Aliya and then the migrations occurring under British colonial rule in the 20s and 30s. Facts like Jewish settlements encouraged under British colonial rule to create a Jewish national home. The British intended settlers to be dominant in Arab Lands. As a European citizen I am greatly impressed about the resilience of Israel, their capacity to survive genocides and the intellectual capacity to develop a lídering technology in the modern world in just seven decades. I'm from Ulster, in the north of Ireland. I'm literally just 4 minutes into this video and i need to switch off. On a brighter note, you can get through this. Northern Ireland was a hellhole. Now it's not too bad. The world needs to stop the Israelis, Lebanese etc from going over the brink.

רק בקטע של זה שהפלסטינים תומכים בחמאס אני לא מסכים, גם כי בחירות פעם ב-17 שנה זה לא נקרא צורה דמוקרטית, גם כי איימו על אנשים בבחירות ההן (ורק 30% מבעלי זכות ההצבעה ברצועה אשכרה הצביעו), גם כי זה היה נראה יותר כמו מלחמת אזרחים מאשר כמו הליך דמוקרטי לגיטימי, וגם כי חצי מאוכלוסיית עזה כרגע הם ילדים בני 1-18 שלא היו אפילו קיימים אז, אז רק תעשה את החישוב של לכמה מהאנשים שחיים היום ברצועה הייתה בכלל זכות הצבעה ב2006. רוב האוכלוסייה הם לא.
בקיצור אם אתה עושה את החישוב יוצא שמשהו כמו 5% מהפלסטינים שחיים ברצועה עכשיו הצביעו לחמאס ב-2006.

My heart hurts for the children who will be terrorized and traumatized by the violence. They don’t understand nor do they have the capacity to process as an adult. Hello, since I am Egyptian and contemporary with all the current events, I will confirm something regarding the issue of the Rafah crossing. The residents of Gaza are the ones who chose not to leave the Strip. This is their choice. Even if Egypt accepts their presence in Sinai, they are committed to their presence there, and for this reason, Egypt cannot be blamed for anything. Egypt cares very much about the Palestinians, but if a people chooses not to leave their land and home, even knowing that they are in danger, this is their choice and their right, and they should not be forced to do something they do not want. Yes but it means that if they die or get injured israel is not the one to blame cuz the army asked the gaza civilians to evacuate to safer place and if they choose not to do that thats fine, its their choice. But when their children die their blood on the hands of the parents that didn't want to evacuate (thats why they asking them to leave, if not for themselves then at least for their children) or hamas that is preventing them to do so. there is even Palestinians who called the idf and told them that hamas preventing them to evacuate by shooting them with guns. Israel had the obligation to tell people to evacuate, after that its not responsible for the choice that these people made.

But what I do not understand, and perhaps you can explain this matter to me, is why Israel does not accept the deal drawn up by Hamas? Basically, most of the Palestinian detainees are innocent and did not commit crimes, and therefore it is a fair deal... because continuing these raids not only endangers the lives of the Palestinians, but also the Israeli hostages whom Hamas placed in separate homes with civilians, and a numbers of them even died in the Jabalia camp.. Which was bombed two days ago and in previous raids... so accepting the deal is inevitable in order to preserve their lives

We can no longer accept hamas that hides in the civilian population and throwing rockets at us every couple of months and terrorists who are not part of hamas but actually live among us and going outside and killing innocent people every now and then, if it wasn't for Iron dome and shelters and many other stuff that idf came up with to prevent civilian casualties then I wouldn't be here and many more Israelis would be killed than the Palestinians( cuz israel unlike hamas tries it best to prevent killing of innocent Palestinians, if its by telling them to evacuate before we bombing them or coming up with technology that can make our airstrikes extremely accurate that we can even bomb only one apartment in a building). Israel have dealt with numerous terrorists attacks and we demand our government to take serious action to prevent it in the future and it means first of all that hamas can no longer exist.

They have two options, either they will release them unconditionally, or the idf will get to them by themselves.

A question about Israeli culture and guns: I see that soldiers in Israel walk around with guns, and my impression is that a lot of settlers, especially in the smaller outposts, also carry guns, but what about ordinary Israelis? Do many Israelis own or carry guns? How are the rules about owning and carrying guns? And is gun violence common, shootings etc? The UN, ICJ, & OHCR clearly state that colonialism involves a foreign group's subjugation of a sovereign nation, people, or group.
This is clearly what happened in the case of ISRL. Fishing for technicalities in order to avoid the obvious is dishonest. And in this particular case, it seems even the technicalities dispute your claim.

just one little correction, one little trueth that might hurt: the british empire betrayed both jews and arabs, but moreso the jews. they gave 75% of the mandate of palestine to a clan of aristocratic bedouins from Mecca, southwest arabia and those guys created the emirate of transjordan, todays jordan. then the united nations split the remaining 25% of the mandate between jews and arabs, and the jews said ok but the arabs said no and started killing even more jews then usually, they lost, they lost again, they lost again, and today they are still in the Land, endangering the state and civilian population.......

Answer to the question on the video thumbnail: of course Israel is no better than Hamas. Hamas is a terrorist organisation, and some cruelty from its side it is expexted. Not justified. expected. On the other hand Israel is in theory a democratic, developed state. so the atrocities that we see from it are not expected. we are disgusted by Hamas' actions and equally appalled by the collective punishment of 2 million people and the now almost 3000 killed palestinian children. We would expect some smart thinking and acting by israel, but it has disappointed us. don't you get that with this kind of actions you will never be safe ? don't you get that all these palestinians that are suffering at the moment will perform the same or worse atrocities to the israeli people in the future? don't you get that violence of this magnitude will bring more violence? don't you get that Hamas cannot be "wiped out" - that it is an idea. and ideas can't be erased through violence? i understand your suffering, but you are not thinking clearly.

there was also no Israel or Israeli before 1948. Before they were called Russians, americans , europeans. Then from one day to an other they were called Israelis. In contrast to the arabs who lived there for hundred of years as a response to the national movement of the zionists they called themselves palestinians.
זה אוסף של שקרים או אולי בורות.. השם ישראל הופיעה בממצאים ארכיאולוגים כבר במאה ה 13 לפנה"ס. בעצם מתקופת המקרא היו יהודים בישראל ולפני 2000 שנה הגלו אותם ונשארו מעטים. לגבי ערבים, הם לא רצו להיות כאן כי האדמה לא נוחה לגידולים חקלאיים. רק אחרי שיהודים חזרו לארץ הגיעו הערבים כי הבינו שיש עבודה וכדאי להגר לשם. לגבי השמות - האיזור היה ממלכת בני ישראל ואח"כ התפצל לממלכת ישראל וממלכת יהודה שזה שבט של ישראל. השם מדינת פלסטינה הומצא כשכבשו את ממלכת יהודה ואחרי שהגלו יהודים, במאה החמישית לפנה"ס, השם לא היה קשור לערבים שמכנים את עצמם פלסטינים אלא היה על שם עם קדום שנקרא פלישטים, עם שאינו היה חי בתקופה הזו אך הייתה תקופה ששלט בחלק מהאיזור. השם המשיך להיות נהוג גם בתקופת הטורקים וגם במנדט הבריטי. הבריטים החליטו לחלק את הקולוניות שלהם לפי אינטרסים כלכליים שונים, הייתה תקופה שהאירופים שלטו על מדינות ערב ועל אפריקה כמו שבטח אתה יודע. בכל מקרה, היהודים באותה תקופה עוד רבים מהם היו בגלות והיתה מלחמת העולם השנייה שבה נרצחו 6 מיליון יהודים. היתה יותר תועלת מהערבים באותה תקופה מאשר מיהודים כמובן לאור המצב בו היו ולכן מי שקיבל נתחים גדולים יותר מהעוגה היו הערבים. בתקופת מלחמת העולם השנייה בזמן שהושמדו היהודים על ידי הנאצים, היו יהודים שניסו לברוח ולהגיע לארץ אך רבים לא הצליחו כי הבריטים החזירו אותם חזרה לאירופה, שם תפסו אותם ורצחו אותם. חלק מהם עברו למעצר בקפריסין. חלק ניסו להגיע למדינות אחרות וגם שם גורשו. באותו הזמן כל מי שחי במדינה נקרא פלסטיני, גם יהודים וגם ערבים. השם פלסטיני שהיה נהוג בתקופת המנדט הוא לא שם של עם אלא שם של איזור. בכל מקרה, אחרי המלחמה הבריטים החליטו לחלק את השטח בין היהודים לערבים ולהפסיק את השלטון שלהם על הארץ. היהודים לפי החלוקה של הבריטים לא קיבלו הרבה אך היו מאושרים שהבריטים עזבו וושאחיהם שורדי השואה יוכלו לעלות לארץ וכל העצורים בקפריסין. הערבים גם שמחו שהבריטים עזבו והחליטו שזה הזמן להשמיד את היהודים בלי שיתערבו להם. כל הערבים וגם ממדינות ערב השכנות התגייסו להשמיד את היהודים. למזלנו הצלחנו לשרוד ולנצח במלחמה. היום אנחנו קוראים למדינה שלנו ישראל השם שעליו הכריז בן גוריון ראש הממשלה הראשון, ביום שבו המנדט הבריטי פסק. השטח של המדינה כולל את השטחים שנתן לנו המנדט הבריטי +שטחים שכבשנו במלחמה ובעוד מלחמות אחרות שפתחו בהם אויבינו
