    Hey! Just found you here after finding you on TikTok! So glad to find a cool channel about middle earth and cosplay! I know you normally do cosplay stuff, but I'd LOVE LOVE to see you do a book review of your folio society tolkien box set! Its my dream set to own and I'd love to see it up close!

    Just heard your interview with Kelly on Forests, Folklore and Fantasy. Just amazing armor build. With only ONE reference photo. Well done you! I know nothing about using foam and worbla. The results are stunning. The butcher apron was a fatal score. They obviously did the same thing in the film.

    This is fantastic! I’ve seen you on TikTok for a while but didn’t know you had a RUclips! I’m making Galadriels Dagger right now, hoping my tutorial will be ready to upload in time for the new episode this Friday!

    It does help if you heat up the wobla before trying to cut it it makes an easier cut on your scissors ✂️

    I love all you cosplays! I'm trying to build a different armor and I was wondering if the worbla will just stick to the foam when heated?

    For any thermal plastic, you don't need to use plastidip on it. Just a few layers of wood glue, flexibond, modge podge, or other preferred glue

      I definitely learned my lesson with this build! I wish I had just stuck with the flex bond but I know better for next time :)

    It looks amazing! May I ask, how much material did you need to do it?

    • @laurendoescosplay
      @laurendoescosplay  2 года назад

      I would estimate about two rolls of foam and two big sheets of worbla! one tub of foam clay will be more than enough

    I’m working on a simplified version of this for my daughter’s Halloween costume. What did you use to glue the foam together? (I see you sanded it down to smooth edges after.) And thanks for sharing, you did amazing work!

    I have never worked with EVA before, but what thickness do you typically use? (Uhm love everything you do!!!)

    • @laurendoescosplay
      @laurendoescosplay  2 года назад

      I typically use 4mm for structural pieces and 2mm for detail pieces!

    How did you connect back and front piece? I’m trying to build her armor myself using your video as a guideline and I’m not sure how to do it.

      I used velcro on the sides and top shoulders of the breastplate! I just glued the Velcro to the inside so when it closes all of the velcro is hidden

    How can you get hold of chainmail like that?
