Hello, lovely idea! A trick I have learned that works for me when tearing - I put my ruler on the smaller side of paper and pulling up on the larger side. Just flipped around from how you did it. It’s really a lot easier for me. You might try it. TFS!

Thanks for the suggestion…when I try that I always seem to loose pressure and end up with an uneven tear. 🤣
