Hi, I really appreciate all of your hard work and content. I would love to travel to Japan one. Could you please ask what this man did to learn how to speak Japanese fluenty or what course you would recommend to learn Japanese fluenty? Thanks
For everyone who is asking, the police wasn’t there for us. Apparently he was there for the guy that was sitting a few feet away from us. He eventually left and the guy seem unbothered.
Darius Harper I’ll ask him to respond to your comment. Also watch about two interviews back, the one that’s entitled, “Don’t Come to Tokyo ...” Jason shared some really good tips on learning Japanese.
I lived in Japan for a year. My Japanese accent with Japanese words is far superior to this brother. I say he speaks conversational Japanese at best. No way, no how near fluent . .

The Black Experience Japan says: "For everyone who is asking, the police wasn’t there for us..." == Policemen in Tokyo(警視庁) are very cautious about anybody around in the area with high concentration of foreigners such as near the embassies. Even if you are Japanese they would walk up to you and start asking questions in English. They are very polite though. They would explain why you are questioned in even apologetic way.
I know the Police car was in the shot because it pulled up! but people can't put 2n2 together and not keep mentioning it detracting from the video? good video by the way yet again a different insight from another Black individual, he seems to be making his way here in Japan Thanks
@John T You're insecure lol. That's why you left that hateful ass comment. You saw a black guy's face and typed up that bs. I can't even see yours. Mine must look nice? Did it intimidate you? Why did you even comment? Why couldn't you just read it and go about your life?
I'm going to Japan in 5months and these videos give me a great insight on what I may face in Japan as a African american man...I appreciate everyone you interview & appreciate them for sharing their experience.. thank you all...this channel is amazing
Yes, it takes years to not flinch when you see a Japanese police car. But after you don't get harrased, you no longer have the fear. I'm from NY , so it was a total difference.
Liam have you asked yourself why Europeans never left Africa ? America doesnt want Blacks to know the truth about Africa or they will leave. America has quantity but no quality life.
Jake McCoy is right but I am going to add this The American people are brainwashed. They still believe the maps they saw in their 45th world ranked school system. And they keep voting for conmen
@@STIR-FRIED-SUBWAY-RAT may be lame to you but it's fact. I'm black and this is offensive to me. When I purchase a new home it's considered a leveling up when a white person does it it's considered the norm, same thing here.
His candidness was truly eye opening and revealing. He presented a perspective that more Black Americans should consider deeply before going to Japan. Insightful video!
Most of the time they try and act like they're scared or ask you stupid questions about why you are not acting like a typical stereotype of black people to make you feel inferior. You just have to ignore them and let them think what they want. Narcissists and prejudice people say things just to get a reaction out of you. Starve them. Dont feed the trolls.
Your own response and behavior toward them will serve as an example of how some stereotypes are just that, stereotypes. In other words, take the opportunity to show them you're not offended by questions by answering earnestly and calmly, without suggesting they're making you feel inferior. Your Light and Energy will increase when you do this.
People all over the world have a stereotypical view of black Americans because Hollywood perpetuates these stereotypes constantly. You really can't blame them, it's bad marketing
You can blame yourself because the same image is portrayed of whites, Asians, Mexican but people choose to judge and treat people how they want to. So it’s your fault and every other ignorant racist persons fault as well. You have to treat people how they show you. Not off of stereotypes..... that’s ignorant.
@Akira Aguilera what a loser man. Different is not always worse. African American Vernacular English has grammar rules and exceptions too and it doesn’t make it any less of a language than “correct” English. Dialects of different languages form all the time but somehow people still have this idea that black/southern accents are somehow incorrect when it’s just different.
Cookie Baby This world is very disconnected.. Your fears will override ur limitations..Do the relationships u have " got ur back?".Black people most of all, have a Universal God given intuitive sense. Maybe we ought to spend some time trusting that man in the mirror..It saddens me greatly when we undervalued our ability to override the labels that are put forth out of fear and most of the time pure ignorance. Your ancestry speaks for itself..Never forget the inherent dignity that our leaders, many who died, instilled in our hearts and minds.Pass that on to the youth for this is the legacy they have left..The ability to "relate" and our own "self- respect" has surpassed many culturally indifferences. I do find that it is here in this country , where it is most likely to be challenged. Even amongst own people. I am my brother"s keeper..wherever I may go..
Learned that from marrying a white chick like a lot of stupid brothas lol. They have their own agenda and you both gonna wake up in a nightmare one day. I can only imagine the misery you would have in Japan cause they aint cute with their racism like over here lol.
I was stationed in Okinawa Japan for a year and that was one of the best experiences in my life. Like Ashley saidi had no fear of being a victim of violence like in many other places and the younger generations were very welcoming. I was told that some older Japanese still have animosity from the war but overall it was a great year and would love to go back and visit.

Majority of the white military people i served with may be the problem they have with the military, white people in general refuse to accept others culture, they see it as a sign of losing there superiority
Yeah, people moving away when l come around happened a lot to me when I was younger. Now a days I-DO-NOT-CARE. Move, good more room for me. Don't have time to entertain ignorant people's pre-conceived notions. I don't require validation from anyone as I have my own internal reward system. It's so easy.
I'm 5'11", dark skinned and I lived in Misawa for two years and it's more rural there. I had a great time and was welcomed places that denied a white friend of mine access. People wanted to take pictures with me all the time. I think because we're so rarely seen in rural towns there that people are too surprised or intrigued to show bias. I never spent much time in the large cities.
@Akira Aguilera all facts. I wasn't denying the discrimination. Being from the south in the states. I'm very familiar with discrimination. My time spent in Japan I fortunately never had to face it.
It is this difficult because of our disobedience and rebellion against OUR LORD Yahawah. Ezekiel 5 KJV. But RESTORATION is coming and an Everlasting Righteous Kingdom is coming!!!! 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV
I'm a white girl who did pretty decently at learning Korean and I could never just have a normal conversation with a Korean person. As soon as I'd speak, they'd be so surprised and blown away, we could never just have a normal conversation. Was invited to stuff because of my novelty, not because of an actual relationship.
I hate that you experienced that crap. Like nobody wants to just be invited to something because of their race. Plus it's hella weird. I always wondered how they would feel if you turn around and did the same thing to them.
I lived in Japan for 6 years and I loved it over there seems like they want to know more about the American culture then their own culture overall it was a mostly 99.9% positive experience
Brother from Chicago, I love this video. i love languages but have not tried Japanese. My languages are are German, Spanish, Korean, & Tagalog. Great video!
Right, then he starts speaking fluent Japanese, in Japan, with medium complexion, and partial Asian looking features, what are they supposed to think? I'm more bothered by the cop pulling up next to the two black guys talking making the video than those not thinking he's just a black guy who speaks Japanese.
MajinSektor look bro I’m pretty sure his people were in the military I damn sure he was mixed I run track and play football with him my senior year I moved out to the burbs he is from
I thank this brother for his knowledge and the level of intelligence that he has. The path that he is on right now is surely helping others looking for truth and guidance!
Why do I feel like he's afraid to say what he REALLY feels when talking about the racial part. He is very very careful with his words to say the least. Overall great video!
wfarley80 We must learn to be P.C when speaking publicly. As soon as he wouldve said something very true but harsh, i guarantee more than half the comment section would just be talking about that. We as people especially us as black people need to find better ways like he did in this video to convey our message to other races. We as black people know exactly what he really meant one way or another but he said it the way he did so that EVERYBODY can receive the message also and not be stuck on a blatantly racist encounter he may have had.
I think sometimes it can be difficult to get across the exact extent of whatever it is you're trying to say. Sometimes it can feel like you're understating something or making an overstatement. I feel like he was trying to accurately depict his experience without overstating them.
I loved this interview! I got a little distracted by the kid throwing a tantrum in the background lol so cute how his mom calmed him down then the dad put his hat on
Marcel Gardner I agree. This isn’t advice reserved for Japan. Kind of a waste of time... it would’ve been more accurate to title this “black guy talks about his experiences in Japan” or something to that nature rather than eluding towards this video talking entirely about women in Japan, which is what I assumed.
A love how men now feel like victims. Yes, there are some women who do fucked up things. But men are now starting to choke on their own patriarchy. So deal with the consequences. Dont "watch these women". Watch yourself and your own ideology. You are who you attract.
Princess J have you lived there long term? I’d love to ask a few questions if I can contact you on any socials. I’m a 16 year old extremely confused and puzzled as to what I want to pursue after high school here in the states. Hope I hear from you!
I'm asian live in asia I think black are super racist about their stereotypes, lot of asian different just brown peaple , Chinese, Japanese, thailand, south korea,Vietnam,Phillipine their ethnic Mongolian,so they don't like black
I grew up in CC Hills in the 80's and 90's and I'm still in the south suburbs. Happy to see a brother traveling and doing great things...Proud of you sir!
At 6:46 as an Asian person, we all have this same attitude. When someone of another ethnicity speaks our language our first reaction is "holy shit that's cool!" Because to us that's rare and we didn't expect that someone would want to learn our language.
Same in Beijing, China. On one occassion, the taxi driver almost had a heart attack when I asked him to pull over so as I could take a leak and then go to an atm before dropping me home. He was really friendly and amazed that I could speak Chinese. Another time the guy was surprised for the wrong reason! He tried to overcharge me by 150 kuai (RMB) and when I told him that I had been living in BJ for 10 years and so knew the route very well. He choked on his water bottle and was incapacitated with shock when I said to him he was only getting 70 kuai for his taxi fare while I jumped out and tossed the notes to him. You do meet all sorts!
I know right... All over Asia, cops never OUTRIGHT bothered me before. I'm mixed, so I can't speak for my darker brothers and sisters out there. OMG, when i did a homestay with my Jamaican friend in a small town in S. Korea, yes people stared at me a little bit when I was walking alone, but when he was around (he's dark btw), stares went up by 1000%. He was used to it, but I thought it was very annoying and outright disrespectful. Here in Bangkok when i spot someone that I don't know staring at me, I will stare right back, that usually gets them to stop or look somewhere else. Sometimes i found that it was just staring out of curiosity.
Being African and raised in Asia for a little, I understand those stereotypes very well. But still living there for the time I did I loved it and do plan on going back one day. Love your videos and love the view your giving Africans and African Americans of Asia and Japan in general. And Happy New Year!
I think he makes a lot of good points but you can't be too concerned about these people. If you're going to a job interview, and the people around you are moving away when you sit at the bus stop, focus on the job interview. They're not important. You're at the bus stop so you can take the bus to the interview, not to be liked by the people sitting there. You just have to ignore people and live your life. When I go to Japan and I see people avoiding me, I'd just ignore them and go about my business. And in all honesty, in some parts of Japan they treat European Americans the same way they treat us.
Miguel Lewis 100%+..As a international traveler, I don't let racism or any odd behavioral paralyze me and stop me in my tracks...What are we to do, stop and confront every negative incident every ten feet? No! That's insane.. Only when it become a physical treat is when you respond...It's hurts them more when you ignore and keep it moving.."Walk Like A King"...
I believe he does but unlike very few people, he tries to change the perception to help them understand black foreigners. Some wake up some don't. That's just the inherent risk you take when you try to culturally teach. I'm glad he didn't look at it pessimistically and still wanted to teach them. I commend him for that because we have a lot more followers in this world than leaders.
I understand both perspectives however having lived in various countries, there’s a difference between a short term visit/vacation. If these interactions happen frequently in a place I’m living I tend to interact with them and want to improve their perceptions.
There are a lot of Black Africans in Asia speaking their languages. When I lived there, I met numerous African men. Thing is, I stood out because I was an African American. And cause I’m 6’7 350lbs+ I had the opposite experience. Neither Chinese, Japanese or Koreans acted afraid of me. Either they looked curious or ignored (try to ignore). I totally agree that you should have some skills conversing, reading and writing the language before you live there.
If you want to live in other country. It's a smart thing you can do is to learn how to speak their native languages, cultures and know how to read in their writing scripts to fit in the local people.
I'm in the same boat with a few discrepancies, I'm 6'3" and 250 and have also just had more folks look at me with curiosity. That usually goes out the window when I speak Japanese, and I'm just considered one of the homie's at that point. I'll never go back to China though, I worked there for 4 years in post with the State Dept. and my experiences with the locals was one sided no matter how much I did to deflect a negative image.
3:05 Naw dude. you do look half japenese. you have somewhat of a japenese phenotype. Your facial structure, and eye shape do make you look like your're half or a quarter japenese. And im blk bruh lol.
You two cant be this dumb. Slant eyes come from east Africa. Asians come from Africa too. Africa has every feature in the world because that's where man begin. Go on google and look up, slanted eyed blacks like the San people. Blue eyes, blonde hair blacks as well.

@@quintonmiller8266 True but still though, he is in Asia so it's not out of bounds to assume he may be part Asian especially when he speaks fluent Japanese.
When I was in college, some people thought I was part Asian...it is the Choctaw Indian on my father-side a few generations back. And I also was learning Japanese back then.
All the people saying, "racism in america is non-existant", or "it's more prevalent in Asia than America." 1. Most of you people saying this have not been to Asia 2.Most of you are not of the minority race There will always be prejudice based on one's skin color because that's just how EVERYONE thinks. However stop speaking of things you do not know.
OMG are there still people who have the nerve to say there's no racism in Amerikkka? Have they taken a look at who's in the White House lately?? Give me a giant break! Also, I lived in Asia for 15 years and believe me, it's bad in both places, just different. I am a light-skinned Latina & speak Japanese fluently and get this straight- if you could hear what Japanese people are saying behind your back, you'd have no doubt left about their racism. NOT counting those who have made an effort to get over it of course, but most are just a prejudiced as your worst imagination.
Oohh we know better than you think ... and your country America probably is in the top racist countries .... and when there is no racism involved people will be so prejudgmental to be offended and self-victimized ... no freedom of expression at all
I have been to asia and people there are way more fucking racist. Literally almost every single person you meet there, in Denmark etc. it's super rare. But it's a double edged sword, there are probably more benefits. People still are technically racist though.

He’s in public recording I’m actually 99% sure if he looked Japanese the cops would have asked him to leave.. they’re very friendly to tourist and tourist get away with a lot! ALOT! Speeding tickets are like never given to a tourist they just warn you. That cop just made sure he wasn’t disturbing people who didn’t wanna be on the video or something of that nature. I feel like he’s just doing his job.. he could have told him to leave he was there for over half hour.
The timing as he was explaining how he helps others with a good heart.. and then the police rolling up and sticking around for the remainder of the interview; EPIC! Great episode!
I had an experience similar to his experience at the bus stop. I’m also a black American man and I was in Tokyo waiting for my Japanese in laws to meetup with me so I stopped in a McDonalds as that was the only place around I could charge my phone and use the WiFi to keep my phone connected. The entire restaurant was packed with people and there were only two seats available. I sat in one and I noticed whenever someone came in they’d look at the empty seat, look at me and then leave. This happened about 3 or 4 times that I realized it wasn’t just a coincidence, these people just didn’t want to sit next to me. Just when I was about to lose hope in humanity, an attractive Japanese woman came to the empty seat, left her purse right next to me and preceded to the counter to order her food. She came back and sat next to me no problem, which goes to show you that even if you encounter ignorant people, not everyone will think that way.
Y Zhang nope, just gave her a friendly nod. My wife and in-laws showed up not long after but I stayed there a little longer out of habit to make sure no one took the woman’s purse. Although to be fair, even in Tokyo that wasn’t likely to happen at all.
You were spot on with everything you said, but you also sugar coated and danced around the issues a bit. I lived in Japan for a time, and have visited several times since than and what he said was spot on. Especially with the passive aggressiveness of how you can be treated ( because you are compared to the stereotype of a black man). I have also heard many many stories about military men and others and their relationships with Japanese woman. Not here to scare anyone, just inform. He was being nice about how he described the haifu term. In actuality it's a slur. It's a racial slur that comes out more in Black- Japanese children as compared to other half Japanese half another ethnic group person. Education is the key to fulfillment. The more you know, the more you can grow
All my life... I have been exactly where he is at and have been... Its amazing to see truth on this level... The Japanese arenot seen as racist or biased because of their humble culture and nature... But in reality... He is not exposing what isnot already known... He is simply placing the pieces of the puzzle together... And in my opinion, he did a fine and masterful job... This was inspiring on levels you could never understand until you see you me in Tsubiki orTokyo for the simple fact that our image is tarnished because of Western culture... Blessedly a great nation... But like any other, FAR from perfect... Today is the start of our new beautiful future... Take advantage... Because its here now and gone tomorrow... Love this bro... Thank you so much for clearing the air...
You can still do that at a younger, healthier age. Regardless of the airfare, add this country and others you'd like to visit in the future on your bucket list. The experience is priceless.
Be careful this channel is so addictive lol. I only discovered yesterday after a video suggestion popped out. I didn’t even looked for any Japanese related topics. I myself African, lived in the UK and now living in Canada. I always was interested in Asian culture but never had the chance to to learn about it. I guess better late than never. Thanks again for those wonderful videos
That fact Ashley speaks fluent Japanese is amazing and this was a very though provoking interview... God continue to please bless the BEJ Family Abundantly....
I met my wife in America in college. She was doing a 1-year study abroad program. Honestly, finding someone who has lived abroad for a bit is very important (almost a MUST!) in my opinion. I believe it's that experience that helps them understand what you are going through yourself living in a foreign country. I have not heard of there being wacky culture problems with dating Japanese whom have an international experience/mindset. (That is, disregarding each individuals little quirks and idiosyncrasies...) But I do commonly hear of culture problems and not being able to relate with their foreign partner with Japanese who've never left the country.
This brutha must have a forehead like me, that bandana is pretty far back there. Btw, he does look like he’s part Japanese to me so it’s not the Japanese people being prejudice or anything.
I went to Japan last year by myself. Best experience of my life. I didn’t feel unsafe or felt danger. You may get a few looks and stares because of how different we look (black people) to them. But other than that, Japanese people are very introverted and will be on their phones the whole time. The food out there is amazing! It’s like going to a different planet. I will be going back soon.
To dislike this video, would tell you alot about yourself. Think about it , "I dislike this person's personal experience in Japan". Thanks for sharing brother Ashley. Thanks to you too Ranzo.
♨️I’m so glad he interviewed you, I’m glad you didn’t keep it PC 100%, I do see you still speaking in a way that was very conducive with still having to live in Japan 🇯🇵 lol but I can still read between the lines and this was the most REAL interview yet!!🌺

Fortunatley I have some other Gaijin Guy friends, where we go out every couple of months. I definitley can appreciate the need to improve ones Japanese in order to utilise it as another form of support.
Listening to this guy speak was frustrating. I don’t understand why he’s beating around the bush. Just speak candidly. I’m still not sure what he was trying to convey about Japanese women. Saying be careful and I know someone that’s going through some court stuff isn’t enough. How is dating for you? Do you date Japanese women or do you date other foreign women? This guy is holding back valuable information.
Well he probably doesn't speak much English, so he's a little rusty. And, Japanese is not the kind of language where people are super direct, cut and dry. In fact, tge culture there is not very direct and aggressive, so that might have rubbed off on him a little bit
Applause, applause, applause!! I'm originally from Chicago, IL (living in Teas) - it has been awesome to see that many men of color has taken the leap of faith and journeyed abroad from Illinois. There ain't nothing good happening in the Chi for the vast majority. My dad is a retired police officer from Hazel Crest, which is like around the block from Country Club Hills. I wish this man much luck; with prayers and blessings to surround him.

The Black Experience Japan I think it would be awesome to send out your interviewers to actually go out and do interviews with Japanese people regarding their impressions and interactions with people of color. This could serve a couple purposes, first to get a better understanding of their perceptions and secondly to help educate them. These interviews should extend to all segments of society i.e. store owners police educators restauranteurs etc. We are more than hip hop artist and athletes and your channel can help educate folks there. Consider setting up a PayPal account so we can support your channel directly.
I lived in Japan for a short stint years ago, I've been all over, as a black person though, I can tell you out of all the places I've lived and worked, I've never felt more comfortable than in the Middle East, not only are we not judged almost at all, but we're actually admired. It's an amazing feeling, and if you look, lately there has been a great number of famous black people spending allot of time in one of my favorite places, Dubai.
I feel the same way. I've seen them calling the average black man "Shiek" with much respect. Every time I talk about my time in the middle east, they seem to want me to say something negative, e.g., how they are oppressive towards women, but I was treated with much respect, dignity and admiration.
The same Middle Easterns that enslaved and still enslave black men, and the word they use for black people literally means slave. Y'all are funny. They like celebs, people that can do skills for them, and tourist to spend their money. Don't no middle easterners like dark skin, please stop. idgaf how comfortable you felt. facts are facts.

Nice assessment. Unless you really smell bad or something most behavior of racists is just to make you feel they are above you.
Your own response and behavior toward them will serve as an example of how some stereotypes are just that, stereotypes. In other words, take the opportunity to show them you're not offended by questions by answering earnestly and calmly, without suggesting they're making you feel inferior. Also it's what black people put out on RUclips and other social media, you forgot that bit.
You can blame yourself because the same image is portrayed of whites, Asians, Mexican but people choose to judge and treat people how they want to. wfarley80 We must learn to be P.C when speaking publicly.

Btw, he does look like he’s part Japanese to me so it’s not the Japanese people being prejudice or anything.
jaymeez : Hairline like a runaway slave 😂😂😂😂😂
Cmon now 😆 maybe it’s just a fashion thing
@@plantiron damn
Wow i didn't notice that until you said something.
😂
I went to Japan last year by myself. Best experience of my life. I didn’t feel unsafe or felt danger. You may get a few looks and stares because of how different we look (black people) to them. But other than that, Japanese people are very introverted and will be on their phones the whole time. The food out there is amazing! It’s like going to a different planet. I will be going back soon.
Thanks for watching and for sharing your experience!
May I ask where did you go ?
@@styl3k1fry I went to Tokyo first, Kyoto second , and Osaka
To dislike this video, would tell you alot about yourself.
Think about it , "I dislike this person's personal experience in Japan".
Thanks for sharing brother Ashley. Thanks to you too Ranzo.
I love this one. He goes directly into the nuance. Real talk
♨️I’m so glad he interviewed you, I’m glad you didn’t keep it PC 100%, I do see you still speaking in a way that was very conducive with still having to live in Japan 🇯🇵 lol but I can still read between the lines and this was the most REAL interview yet!!🌺
I could see why someone would think he's half japanese
Yeah some west africans have that east asian look with the eyes and stuff
prodbysonder That’s because it all started in Africa.
@Elena w That’s true but it’s not really how it works
prodbysonder I’m just saying it’s genetic.
I have met him at the party and he does sound like me as fluent Japanese speaker cuz I was born and raised in japan. I thought he was born and raised in japan also
I ain't gonna lie most black people can pass for being mixed with Asian. A lot of black people have Asian looking eyes
I get asked if I'm asian all the time oh my god at this point I just go with it
It gets kinda annoying after a while
@ true
Yes
Lol
@ The Black Experience Japan....Miss Japan was called everything under the sun except Japanese. My daughter is stationed there and plans on visiting some tourist traps on her down time. This video was very informative and I'll have her watch the series before she commits to an itinerary. Thanks for taking your time in doing the interviews.
Dude seems like a decent dude. Take care buddy. Have a good year 2019!!
omg...what the hell this dude is from Country Club HIlls???!!! I'm from Harvey (basically next door) and lived in Korea for ages. We just missed each other!!!
That's Hilarious I'm from Calumet City and I read the comments and find someone from Harvey and my man is from CCH
I got family in flossmoor. South Suburbs party in the comments
Posen here
I live in Chicago right now lol. I'm originally from Cleveland ohio. Are y'all learning Japanese right now?
I've become addicted to watching these.
Much respect to the brotha in CCH representing himself well! I hope to visit and expand my kids' horizons on Japan and many other lands..
Awesome interview and analysis. Answered all my questions.
Chi City is always in the house. Nice interview and info bro. I'm from the southside of Chicago now living in Tampa Florida since 2013. My uncle use to live in Country Club Hills off Vollmer Rd.
I am from Lansing, Illinois. Not too far from country club hills. Thank you for sharing your story.
As a Black man that lived in Japan for 6 years I can relate to what your are saying. I did have a better support system than you, I was in the USAF. Dude you do look like you have some Asian blood in you, especially your eyes. They only real thing I hated about Japan was them damn earthquakes!
Jishin. Yeah, they really suck.
FINE RUclips I’LL WATCH IT!
🙏🏿 Thanks for watching!
I said exactly the same fucking thing why is this always on my timeline
Swear to god 😭
I said "ok, I will watch it since you insist for more than a week". Along with a video of some guys playing pool on a championship...lol. Nice video btw and great insight on his living there.
You do know you can hide or tell youtube to stop recommending youtube ? Moron
Brotha, thanks for doing this. Very inspiring. We plan on taking the plunge in 2020. With 4 kids in tow! These videos have been very enlightening.
Dude I randomly came across this comment and I just HAVE to know. Did y’all take that plunge?
@@joshuaortiz9068 Thanks for asking. So, we didn't make it, BUT we did visit. And the visit confirmed we needed to be there. I'm currently interviewing with two tech firms out there now. Fingers crossed 2022 is the year!
Good luck!
@@SenecaTheDreamer HELL YEAH! Wish u all the best of luck brotha 🤞🏽
Definitley makes sense about getting a support group. I'm part of a ALT group in Hokkaido, but it can be a bit hard to try and get some people to come out for drinks. Fortunatley I have some other Gaijin Guy friends, where we go out every couple of months. I definitley can appreciate the need to improve ones Japanese in order to utilise it as another form of support.
Great to see an Illinoisan over there! Former Calumet City fellow saying "HI" and best to you.
Once you black? You end up a single parent~ lol @@themerovingian4252
I thought the same thing. Saying a whole lot of nothing.
Well he probably doesn't speak much English, so he's a little rusty. And, Japanese is not the kind of language where people are super direct, cut and dry. In fact, tge culture there is not very direct and aggressive, so that might have rubbed off on him a little bit
@@themerovingian4252 you know black people very well don't you?
@@themerovingian4252 i think its more than just black man, its every man lol
Thanks For the Video and keep up the Good Work
Applause, applause, applause!!
Look at my cousin. Great interview. Love u bro.
I'm Chicago born and raised but I moved to Markham two years ago right by Country Club Hills, keep achieving greatness young brother, Peace! ✊🏿

I am binge-watching your videos at 1am EST! I came across your channel a couple of weeks ago and did not watch the videos I saved until today. This is a real gem on RUclips. Japan is my favourite country to visit and love almost everything about it. I am learning so much from your channel. Where have you been all my life bro?

I have been based with a rare Lil B appearance thank you Lil B!
You did it again brother👊🏽 awesome quality relevant information. Thank you.
Please do a RUclips livestream.
What would you like to see?
