I routinely perform, and help teach, US guided injections of the Interscalene groove and brachial plexus. But this video left me speechless. What a phenomenal piece of artistry. Of course, with BMI's often well over 35-40, very few of our patients here in the US on whom we perform these procedures have anatomy that is that clear under US!
Great video! Great work. May I ask which kind of ultrasound probe you use. And where is the access point at the skin level to have such a straight view of the needle. Behind the SCM? Thanks
I perform it at the theater. I like to confirm with fluoroscopy. The patient after some time of observation can go home. You can perform it as an outpatient but you have to assume too many risks. I think is not a good idea
Video is excellent. I found something controversial. Plz see. U have mistakenly labelled carotid artery as subclavian artery. Subclavian artery usually is not at such higher levels as C4 ,C5. Its carotid artery ...which goes along in close proximity to the vertebral body
An FDA advisory board ( AADPAC ) voted 15 to 7 to Contraindicate CESI’s in 2014 due to numerous reports of serious complications including death even with Fluoroscopic guidance.
Probably you did’t understand the video or you did’t read all the text I included on it. When I say 5 ml of a “not particulated steroid” I included depo-medrol as a not indicated steroid for this technich.
Vuelvo a verlo y nuevamente le agradezco. Le estoy pasando estos videos a sus alumnos. Saludos.
it's wonderful, the most clear and comprehensive teaching video that I have ever seen. Thanks a LOT

¡Espectacular! Muchas gracias desde Argentina.
Buenísimo muchas gracias....
Outstanding work, congrats!
Eres un crack Vicente !!
Excellent video. Do you perform this as outpatient procedure or in the theatre?

Very nicely explained 👍

Yes. There is a mistake there
fantastic video sir as usual,,i noticed that all your videos are well prepared and of high tech animations ,you have specific programs for that???
I use some anatomy iphone apps (Essential anatomy) and photoshop, powerpoint and pinnacle studio for video edition
Very good work, i would like to ask about the type of the needle you have used. Is it ordinary spinal needle or special one??
I use short beveled needle. The one we use in anesthesia for peripheral nerve blocks.

Which technique you prefer ultrasound or fluoroscopic?
I have a question! On 2:05, is that T1 or C8 Nerve root?
C8, you are right. As well as where I mark subclavian A, I mean Carotid A
Just amazing ad usual!
Why non particular steroid, please, Thanks?
Catbui rac many complications have been described after particulated steroid injection in any transforaminal infiltration. Better not to use them
Thanks
