I've just finished Astarions storyline and it broke me. His anger in the moment.. and then the tears. I felt so so bad for him.

Augh my heart because it was one of the reasons he started the relationship with you in the first place, to be safe to know that there would be someone to protect him
I’m always incredibly sad watching these, but it goes to show how well his story was written, how tragic it actually is, and how emotionally attached we have become to these fictional characters. Well done.

Bloody hell this was amazing. Both drawings AND song. The combination being both 100% about him is incredible! I wrote a few days ago on reddit about how much of Astarion's story with Cazador could be triggering, but how cathartically AMAZING the writing of his trauma really is. The creators and the VA, they need more than just awards. They need accolades for the rest of time. In one go, they have helped thousands of us process our own traumas, for some better than our therapists could have.
They have saved lives with this story, and now this art and song have just added to it. Thankyou, so so much.

It took me a while to understand what I was ‘sensing’ from him the first time our minds connected with tadpoles. ‘The light, the fear’. It was that he was out in the sun, the fear that he might die.
There are so many people who misunderstand Astarion’s story, his trauma, his fear and why he is the way he is. We project too much on the masterpiece that Neil created.
Astarion is such a complex and beautiful character, I have romanced him my last 4 playthroughs and I have already planned my fifth. I adore hom with Dark Urge because of how they are both two characters, running from masters and a life they once knew.
Baldur’s Gate is ‘n masterpiece, and the only game that actually made me buy a PS5.
