I'm not Tim, but I can answer your question :) I bought a BD site over a year ago and if you're looking for great customer support and a robust resource library, it's a very good option.
Hi Tim great vid! I’m literally doing exactly this with a an added spin! I’m curious why you didn’t just use the stadzi brand to do the marketing? I guess also from what you mentioned it is important when you start this you stick with your permalink naming, structure and design to stick with it for the long term when you launch. Stick with design and don’t waver. Good to know so I don’t edit things in future too much.
Brother this has literally been one of my biggest lessons. I've never redesigned anything or rebuilt it and had a good experience. Once I build something, I keep it like that forever.
So what if you would have structured the slugs after redesign and noticed drop in traffic? Sorry if noob question but it just seemed like you found the problem…
Yeah maybe. But it's also not that simple because the code on the website changed as well. Plus I don't think it was possible for me to keep the url structure exactly the same because of how the new directory is coded.
@@timstodz I wish I learned this more way back. I ran some guys Ketamine clinic SEO and it was odd how I was able to find different odd things that were hurting his site. And I unfortunately don’t know much besides what a slug is.
I tested the plugin and it looks great on the backend but the frontend is quite basic. I see the potential, but WP directory plugins either lack features or aren't reliable.
If the information is publicly available, of course you can. I think it starts getting a bit more dicey when you add information that is sensitive such as personal emails you’ve obtained privately (for example, if you reach out to a company and ask for their directors email regarding a business proposition).
Yes of course you can. The thing is that if you are building a lead gen directory, you have to make sure the listings (meaning the business information) still goes to that business. So the phone number in the listing needs to go to the business owner. Then if you have a phone number site wide for your own leads, everything is honest and transparent.
@@timstodz Just a heads up on that one Tim, whilst adding a publicly business phone number is perfectly acceptable, directory owners should still be vigilant about listings with phone numbers if operating within the EU as GDPR regulation states that ANY piece of identifying information (including phone numbers) could be perceived as a violation if not done correctly. Thought I’d just mention that as always worth being on the side of caution with any kind of data 🤝

Hi Tim, what do yo think of Brilliant Directories, I want to set up a couple of directories in my pages and ?

Thank you for the inspiration, Tim. Challenge accepted!
great video. Do you have a video or training on how to do the GMB service?
No. I'll do that next.
@@timstodz I feel like this should be an easy one. It’s so under utilized in Guatemala City.
Will you teach all this in your course so we know what to execute on and what to avoid?
Great Video Tim.😊
Which theme are you using right now?
For yourboulder? I don't know it's a custom theme.
Too funny - I used to use this site sometimes when I lived there back in 2014
@@thesoundsession what a coincidence haha. Amazing

@@timstodz interesting af. Google is tough. I didn’t realize that it was such a permanent effect
I know someone else that used this model, it’s very effective
I'll do it. Hold my beer 🍺 😊
Wishing you luck.
Thank you, Tim!

Nothing will be ideal unless you custom build it. With some custom design, IMO the business directory plugin is the best one.
@@timstodz I get your drift. Looks like it's owned by Formidable Forms now, who also have their own directory product.
which Business directory plugin do you use
It's called "The Business Directory Plugin."
Awesome awesome video. Thank you Tim
I’m watching
Yes this works, but don't underestimate the number of sales calls that you need to make.
I've made zero sales calls.
Can you add a business to a directory without their permission?
If the information is publicly available, of course you can. Does anyone know of Ideal Directories? Thoughts?
Watched the whole thing and have no idea what you just advised.
lolol. watch it twice maybe?
Would you like to mentor me and in exchange you can use what you learn from mentoring me to create a new course? Sounds like a win-win to me.
Have you heard the word “delusional” before?
