@@pokmannyMoney (foreign investors) come and go. They always follow the money trial (n risk etc). Once the dust settles monies follows again.
Money's rule of law. Where there is honey there is always money.
Where there is no money there is no honey (other type of honey).

I find this reporter very rude. She cuts the executive off. I am not siding this lady becos I don't trust her one bit but just becos she is a reporter she is one ride lady I don't condone rudeness regardless but of cos she thinks she is one big lady that knows everything . If she thinks she is damn good she to me is one lady I rather not heard Shame on her for her style and her mgmt that allows such behaviour. At least this executive showed her professionalism and remained cool...

It is disrespectful for the host to question in such a rude manner.

It was also once rude of Carrie Lam to back stab everyone in Hong Kong...but let's be polite about it.

Simple, keep draining HK foreign reserves, and pray hard not to have next unforeseen wave to hit hard? Not so high vaccination rate and almost near naïve population at initial natural infection. Alas, HK local born and bred Doctors and Nurses are away forever in great numbers, how she going to top up those needed manpower numbers to protect elder folks?

Whatever HK needs, including skilled people, it can get it from the mainland. Shenzhen is booming.

I'm not sure if it was mentioned in this interview (I haven't finished watching it), but Hong Kong is loosening restrictions on foreign medical credentials. These past few decades have seen the hospital system fail to keep up with population growth, but even if you look at other countries with universal/public healthcare, wait times are an ever-present problem for any "affordable" healthcare system. Covid just makes it more dangerous and more easily overloaded.

The hamstring border measures are necessary for the city as the virus is still highly transmissible across the globe. Economically speaking, the border measures might slow down the speed of economic recovery and make the city less attractive to foreigners. But remember, the public health is the first priority that both government and people are concerned.

Does anyone still care what this woman "thinks" ? What she "thinks" is decided in Beijing.
