Thus, some of the sun will still be visible around the moon and will look like the moon is surrounded by fire. A regular total eclipse would completely cover the sun and you'd only see the corona (a dull halo) and any jets of fire the sun shoots out. This "ring of fire" version is fairly rare as solar eclipses go.

Just be sure you have protective lenses on. Staring at the sun with just your eyes damages them. Dark sunglasses will NOT protect your eyes. You need something that filters out UV (ultraviolet) rays, like a welder's helmet.
