Archival Landscapes: Brazil (IAAS Seminar Series)

Professor Shirley Carvalhêdo Franco (Coordinator of the Archival Science course at the University of Brasilia's College of Information Science) and Professor Johanna Smit (University of São Paulo) delivered the IAAS Archival Landscapes Seminar on January 17, 2024. Archival Landscapes is a virtual seminar series of the International Archival Affairs Section of the Society of American Archivists. In each seminar, an international guest speaker introduces participants to the issues and advancements in their local context, describing the history, operating environment, and unique aspects of archival practice in their country. This Brazil seminar was co-sponsored by the International Council on Archives Section on University and Research Institution Archives.
