One of the best parts of gardening are the unexpected successes. I have 4 papaya plants, one of which is now fruiting. Wont get ripened fruits from papayas but will likely get 15 Meyer lemons from tree planted outside which hopefully will survive winter with incandescent lights and a blanket. Will be in Cary early December with figs. I will let you know exact date soon.
I ate a lot of pineapple, I put the tip in the ground at my back yard garden. They grew very well, but totally death when the ice cold weather from the north came to Texas.

Do you bring it in during the winter?
Yes the plant stays indoors from November through March. Will bring it back outdoors in April.
