    making this as my first real knit project and it looks so good so far! it’s a great pattern because all of the different colors make any mistakes i make much less visible. i’m using up all of my old acrylic yarn and doubling up with wool and cotton blends so it’s still soft! i’m so excited to see how it looks.

    Thank you for such a happy pattern, and for the trouble you've taken with the video tutorials. The best. I'm onto my second Jasper (and planning the third), making the smallest size for a slim 9 year old girl who loves colour, and hoping it will last her a year or two. I'm using one strand of DK and one strand of self-striping 4ply sock yarn. The effect is colourful with subtle variations, and the size is just right.🙏

  • @user-oj9qd5sb5t

    Help needed!! I'm a newbie kniter and have hit a hurdle early on. Switching from the 4.5 mm to the 6 mm when doing the raglan shaping and there are still stitches on my 4.5 mm once i've got to the 5th stitch marker. I've counted and recounted that I did the correct number of stitches as the pattern says but you seem to have all the stitches on the 6mm before you do the short rows. I hope that made sense and help (off anyone!!) would be very very welcomed !!

  • @runtotherescue
    @runtotherescue Месяц назад +1

    I’m so confused as to what happens at 17:48 with the cut and following instruction. How are all the stitches on the 6mm needles if you’re just working the short rows from that same spot (on the 4.5mm needles)? I checked the pattern and it doesn’t explain anywhere there either :/ it is explained in the video as turning and picking up from the 5th stitch marker, but in the pattern it makes it seem like the short rows are worked from the 1st stitch marker?

      @@ahsen8200 idk how much of a solution this is, but I ended up just continuing to stitch and finish the row onto the 6mm needles and working the short rows from the 1st stitch marker. I’m about 1/3 of the way through the sweater (I got burnt out and quit for a couple weeks lol, picked it back up as of a few days ago) and it seems to be coming along just fine like that. Hope that helps :)

    I've read through all the pattern info and all the comments here, and do not see anything that says how much yarn you need if you don't have piles of scrap DK to use up. It doesn't appear in the printed directions and I didn't hear it mentioned in the video, but someone did ask in the comments and got no answer. I don't usually use DK so I don't have any to use up and don't want to buy more than I need just to make sure I have enough. So how many yards does this sweater need for the various sizes?
