I'm currently working on a blanket for my 4 year old autistic son- on a 4mm hook- for his king single( king twin?) Bed so he can be warm in my Arctic winters here in Australia.
I can understand washable/dryable as my boy drags his through the dirt, and goes nowhere without his.....😅

Thank you so much for being my crochet buddy. Im working on the hooded owl blanket for my daughter. She saw it online and wanted me to make her one. It folds up into the hood part to look like a pillow. Really cute. Im happy to make it for her 😊

I have 5 Booggy Creek blankets on hooks. I was excited to see how they looked. One is finished. I was so excited to see how the bright color worked. I'm working on the Halloween one now. It is pretty dark overall except for the hunter type, neon orange.

So funny you use your box cutter to cut your yarn. I use my nail clippers when i don’t have my scissors handy!
Right now I've got a tiny turtle assembly line going. A Christmas gift for my oldest daughter that wanted turtles ;) All that's left are the turtle shell tops and assembly, then finish the bag strap and I can call this one done!
I currently have 4 WIPS- one is no hurry so it’ll be a long term blanket- it’s one that I’ll add to my tote I have for makes for future grand babies lol I want to get the others done so I can make more boggy blankets 😊

Thank you Friend for being my crochet company while I moss stitched a c2c. The Bernat blanket c2c you are doing is far from boring. Trust me. There are kiddos out there that will love those colors.

And the advantage to fringe is that you don't have to worry about sewing in the ends! 🤩 What am I working on? Several things on the hook, but my focus is one of the Persian kits from Mary Maxim. Beautiful, but talk about ends! Every motif has 14 rounds, and every round is a different color! And there are 24 motifs and then all the little connectors. Whew. 😉 I've done all the pumpkins and leaves for fall. (I DO want to make the beautiful fall wreath from Crochet Crowd for next year. One of your subscribers inspired me to make a darling little alpaca.🙃 I've made a huge amigurimi snowman and Mr and Mrs clause. For Easter and spring, I made an adorable amigurimi bunny with all the eggs and grass in a beautiful basket. (Can you tell that I'm a little proud of my projects? ☺) The basket got my husband involved with me in starching to keep its shape. I found creative tutorials for every one of my projects! I want to make a wreath for spring. Gotta find a good pattern. My husband makes a big deal about how great my stuff comes out, but I tell him that it's only a matter of experience and a good pattern. Thank you, all you fantastic content creators for providing such tutorials to make our ideas come to life!🥰
Question: How do you not flip on a "in the round"?
I have to agree that sometimes it’s nice just to sit and crochet while we listen. It’s especially nice if you live alone. It’s kind of like having a visitor, and I like that. It’s nice.
Regarding the Odyssey hooks. I have four of them each and a different beautiful color in size. They are like eye candy and I keep them in the small clear glass. However, I have Child size Hands, so the odyssey is sometimes a little cumbersome for me so I don’t use them very often. But when I do, they certainly do live through the yarn, and tell the truth, I kind of like the heaviness
On the other hand, I really love my larger clover, a more hooks. They are light and so easy to use. I didn’t think I would like them, but I do. I have all that one and I’m going to order that one today.
I really wanted to Peinn , but the chef is just too long on those hats. However, the.Prinn Soft Grio OK are much more comfortable with. I also love my regular.Co9vers, abd my Tulips. And I have to admit that I keep a pack of the regular aluminum Susan Bates hooks in my notion pouch. I learned on those hooks, and I still use them now and then. My hands get tired when I use them, that’s probably because my hands are small, and the hooks feel great in my hands.
Sorry to ramble, it comes from living alone, and not having anyone to talk crochet with. Well, that’s not exactly true, as I have one friend who crochets, and we talk over the phone now and then.❤. \
I apologize for any weird words, or typos. I am legally blind, and like to use the speaker function on my iPad Pro. It’s faster for me, but sometimes produces words that are not what I intended.
I’ve been crushing a long time and have made many many many granny squares, and granny Afghan. I have never had a granny, or a granny blanket look wonky. And I have never flipped my work. I might try it one day though because it would eliminate the possibility of, putting a granny square in backwards, which I admit to have done a couple times. I’m assuming the front and back look alike if you flip.
I am enjoying seeing all the whips. It’s always fun to see what other people are working on.. I have to admit that I am a much slower Crochet than you are. I do love these stitches, especially the modern stitch which eliminates the chain between the two crochets.the double stitch works really fast too. That’s two double crochet chain one to double crochet, or it might be changed to, I’ll have to check. But I do love that.
I’m primarily working on a large Christmas blanket for my daughter. I got the pattern from . I did enlarge the blocks a little bit in order to enlarge the blanket. The granny squares are all 11 rounds, and are made up of red green and white. I think it’s going to be a beautiful blanket, but I have to say that I really don’t like making the same square over and over. I much prefer that. In fact, I like to use self striving yarn, or yarn that changes color in someway to make granny squares. That way every square is a little different, and I think that’s fun.
When I take a break from the big blanket, I work on things like SHAWLS, baby blankets, etc. I’m hoping to get the big blanket done this coming week. There are tons of ends that we, which is one reason I like to use That allows me to keep going with it, so I don’t have to change colors with each round.

Here's a thought I wanted to share: when you were working on the moss stitch blanket you were mentioning the line visible where you turn your work. Could you maybe avoid that line by turning your work every three or even 5 rows? You're still turning to avoid the leaning but you'd have 4 rows to work through to avoid the line. I just don't know if you woulds see a difference in the stitches themselves... hmmm... might be worth a try! What do you think?
I am working on the Spring Stripes Raglan with 2 skeins of Caron Cotton Cakes in the color Driftwood and I’m making the full sleeve version. This project has taught me 2 new (to me) stitches, the rib stitch and the “work in the 3rd loop” stitch. Almost done with the first cuff ribbing.

I have been making children’s hats for two of my daughters’ preschool classes, and I finished 40/63 last night, so I’m picking up the Cluster V-stitch blanket I’m making for one of my kids, using Caron Anniversary Cakes in Birch Bark. Taking a few days off from hats. You mentioned RedHeart Bitty Stripes..I have made several hats and scarves with it, and I just love that yarn. I hope they release more color ways. Love the blanket you’re working on here. It’s cheery. You’re so right about jotting down notes on your projects. It’s very helpful if ever you want to make another similar project. It’s also great when we get these bright ideas for future projects, but we’re trying to finish current wips. My current joke is thst my ideas have ideas! 😂

Where did you get your Prym hook? It looks like it has a longer neck than ones I've been able to find. The white on that blanket really makes it pop! Very pretty!!
I have 4 Afghan wips. (In the past I never had wips. Only since I began follow several of you wonderfulvlogers). I'm also working on my next 100 newborn baby hats for my local hospital. I too keep my crojo going by watching y'all vlogs. I love to watch you crochet, you are quick and your tension makes your stitches so consistent. I also noticed that you yarn under. I do also sometimes. It's A must for amigurumi. ❤
