Great presentation! I have 3 of the 4, i recently placed an order for the reissue of the “Ray” unit because i lagged it on the 1st issue. Can’t wait to have the full team!
Fucking sick! Not really a collector anymore, but so stoked to see a proper Houquet at long last. Grats. Thanks also for the honest and well informed presentation... we can tell who's been paying attention.
Thanks for watching and commenting! It really is a great feeling knowing that all the ride-armor of the main team was made. I would gladly fork over another 20,000 yen for Shinobu’s VR-038L Dark Bartley with a video recorder!
So I just recently watched Genesis Climber Mospeada for the first time and I absolutely loved it. Of course I grew up on the Robotech version but finally seeing it in it's original form was pretty cool. Of course the algorithm sent me here since Mospeada has been in my interests lately. Those Riobot Mospeadas look awesome. A bit pricey but well put together. By far the most screen accurate Mospeada figures I have ever seen.
That’s awesome! I also grew up on Robotech, but after seeing all 3 originals back in the mid-late 90s, I never looked back. Also, after an almost 20 year hiatus, a Mospeada side story was released back in October, exclusive to Hobby Japan magazine. There is a Facebook group called Genesis Breaker Mospeada and you can read the translated (by me) stories. AND…prototype screenshots of the side-story figures have been shown, so Mospeada is OFFICIALLY back! Thanks for watching the video and for commenting!
@@dotdecorandmore7480 I absolutely love Super Dimension Fortress Macross and feel that Genesis Climber Mospeda is by far the superior version as well. I tried to watch Super Dimension Calvary Southern Cross but I just couldn't get into it. It is by far the worst of the three Super Dimension series. I have heard about that Mospeada side project and saw some of the ride armor designs. Pretty sweet they are bringing back such a classic.
There's also a variant (named Intruder) coming out soon to go with the Mospeada side story, "Genesis Breaker" featured in Hobby Japan magazine every month! If you want to read it, join this Facebook group: Genesis Breaker Mospeada. I do the translations!
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment. You’re gonna love it! Along with Jim, Mint, and Aisha in a jeep, I hope Sentinel will release a Shinobu VR-038L Dark Bartley!
I can't say for sure as I don't own Yamato's BC figures, but I checked the scale of those and they are 1:15. These Mospeada figures are 1:12. So, safe to assume that they don't scale perfectly. Thanks for your question!
Thank you for watching and commenting! Hope everything is going well in your part of the world. I know Robotech is/was huge in South America, but out of curiosity how big are the original series (Macross, Southern across, and Mospeada)?
@@tethera Sorry if I wasn’t clear, but my question wasn’t about “Robotech”, it was about the original Japanese series. Like, how well-known is Macross, Southern Cross, and Mospeada.
@@dotdecorandmore7480 well, they aired as Robotech so most people call them that, and those groups only have Robotech in the name. Still some fans try to educate the rest about the originals, and the everyone knows the Japanese toy releases are superior to whatever Harmony Gold licenses
Heavily considering getting this. I already have the blue Lance version. I didn't care much for the other 2 as they were too plain jane. But also I thought just the Lance version would suffice for my Mospeada ride-armor nostalgia. But Bartley is looking great. Decisions, decisions.
I think you should pull the trigger! A fact about the Bartley and Blowsperior is that they are the 1st gen. ride armors. Another cool thing about the Bartley is that it’s specifically for women. Having both on your shelf is gonna look awesome.
My entire collection?! Probably not since a lot of it is still boxed and some are in a closet boxed. When I finally become a home owner with proper displays, I’ll show off everything…promise!
Niiiiiiice! Drop another comment after you’ve had time to handle/pose it. Would love to hear what you think and if there’s anything I might have missed!
Ummm.....it's an awesome Mecha but aren't you going to mention the hot pink color? To be anime accurate, this is suppose to be a cherry red color, like the tip of the rifle.
The Sentinel figures aren’t designed to be anime accurate in the first place. The original mecha designer, Shinji Aramaki, designed them and was going for a different look to coincide with the Mospeada: Genesis Breaker project, exclusive to the Hobby Japan magazine.
@@dotdecorandmore7480 The Genesis breaker project MOSPEADA is hot pink and belongs to Gate and her team. This item is CLEARLY labelled as a Bartley MOSPEADA!!
@@richlo8887 Could be the lighting in my room that's giving off the hot pink vibe. But again...the Sentinel figures aren't meant to be anime accurate. She didn't have a purple visor in the anime; it was blue. The knee pad part of her boots and undershirt in the anime are grey. On the figure it's purple. Just saying that it's a different aesthetic. Another example of not being anime accurate: on the front wheels of the Sentinel Stick, Ray, and Yellow Belmont's ride armor, is a wheel guard (mud guard?). The anime didn't have those. And the design of the lights of all three are different.
Yeah while I absolutely love it....I would definitely prefer if the armor was the original cherry red. I probably wouldn't mind it as much if the tip of the rifle wasn't red and constantly reminding me or contrasting with the armor.
Well, it seems like you missed the first preorder, ‘cause it was being sold at AmiAmi for about $130 USD (before shipping). Right now they have it for about $150 USD (before shipping). Buying from a Japanese seller instead of a local retailer usually brings the cost down, so I think you can score one for about $200 USD assuming live in the U.S.

I agree! Either the Bartley or the Blowsperior “Yellow Belmont” one.

Any issue with the connection? I know the previous releases have the issue of connection breaking off.
Personally, I haven’t had any issues with the back plug on this one or the Stick version. I hope I never do! Thanks for the heads up.
What a shame ... was looking forward to the transformation!
Sorry to disappoint you. I figured since this is the 4th Ride Armor figure Sentinel has released, a transformation sequence wasn't necessary.
Great review. Does she come with diecast?
Thank you! There is a little bit of die cast, but mostly ABS plastic.
bro where do you buy?
AmiAmi, Amazon Japan, and HobbyLinkJapan are the places I recommend.
...just wish they wern't so expensive :{
You and I both! And I can imagine they’ll probably be a little more expensive now with the on-going war.
