Despite my resistance, I had the good fortune that Srila Prabhupada grabbed me into his personal association. Too great a soul to come close to. I once asked him why new devotees in various countries, including India, would not listen to someone representing him who was not from that country, even though they set a nice example. His reply: "It will be there so long as there is bodily consciousness."

@@RadhikaDas Great podcast. I agreed with all the points and arguments
I wanted to share some thoughts about inclusivity and some problems I noticed while growing up with the idea of inclusivity.
Inclusivity is 100% good, but only with other inclusive religions. It's similar to the idea that you can't practice tolerance with an intolerant person. This would only create a toxic relationship because the other side does not understand the concept of inclusivity. They have grown up in an exclusivist atmosphere.
Those who are knowledgeable about their scriptures can handle themselves in exclusive religious settings. However, someone who doesn't know much about their own scriptures and practices inclusivity in an exclusive religious environment is at risk of converting to exclusivism with minimal effort from an exclusivist.
Historically, many inclusive religions have disappeared due to the rise of two exclusive religions, which are currently the largest religions in the world, having absorbed or replaced many other faiths.
Let's strive to protect and cherish our diverse spiritual traditions, fostering a world where all faiths can coexist in harmony.
To achieve this, we should spread Hinduism-the oldest religion that has coexisted with other faiths for centuries without absorbing or replacing them.

Hare krishna I am proud to be Gay & a staunch follower of Iskcon & the Hare Krishna movement & I have been Chanting since 8 years now i started with just 2 rounds & now i have been regularly chanting 16 . I thought of being honest to one of the associate of our temple president & I came out to him at first he misunderstood me to be a trans . He did not know the difference between sexual orientation & Gender identity so i had to school him on this subject topic . He asked few really awkward questions to me like whether do I have male reproductive parts or not & regarding my " Gender Identity ". His questions freaked me out but I understand it was just his lack of knowledge on the subject matter & his questions weren't really meant to offend me but later he went on infroming my friends from the temple about my orientation & started asking them if any of them had " anything " with me . Friends from the temple aren't really that warm as before never mind I visit temple for krishna & not to chill out & make friends so it's fine with me .But m glad that the associate of our temple president didn't ask me to stop coming to the temple . I wish senior devotees had some kind of acceptance , positive aproach & good regards towards homosexual devotees . Hare krishna . Jai prabhupad . Hari bol

Hare krishna... love the topic. Diversity in any form, diversity of thought is really what it is all about. Initially i also was amazed how many non indians are so devout but i do think it is because from an indian culture, there is not many teachings around our scriptures and the Bhagavad Gita. Generations have just assumed certain beliefs and rituals without the understanding of why and this is how the true understanding of the Gita is lost. When there is racisim in whatever form goes against the lessons of the Bhagavad Gita. We shouldnt see people differetly, we should respect that we are all the same. These biases and prejudices and assumptions are all based on collective and familial unconsciousness or worldviews which influence peoples mental models and it does not mean anyone is right. Human behavioir is inevitable as we are influenced by these mental models and hence maya and the entanglement with this material world. As much as people are different we are all the same whether or not you can relate to them. Religion is ritual. Spirituality is different for me and our relationships with Lord Krishna can be different or God by whatever name you associate with him. I may not be initiated at this time but my jounrey is different and my love and relationship is different with Krishna as i enjoy my spiritual journey and path of learning. Sending love from South Africa. Hare krishna.

Spiritualism n Bhakti are 2 different paramètres
When u are in Spiritual Marg then there is NO racism. Spiritualism is getting connected with super souls and when your soul is not attached to bones and muscles. When u r spiritually enlightened you would not be sitting infront of Camera. Explain Gita in 1 Word.

Its strange thing to cover , but western practitioners probably like that they can have autonomy , which Sanatan Dharma lends itself too , because their is hierarchy , And the Spiritual Indian Mindset has always been one of Non-integration on the material platform ,

I think racism have different shades and using the word racism for everything is unjustified...
I would say protectionism is the word
Islam and Christianity asked its believers to go out and convert people
But hindus ask to spread bhskti but not conversion
We don't ask people to convert
Thats why we feel protectionism among hindus because we don't want hinduism getting misrepresentive by Westerns , secondly same white man when first came to india that was not a good experience
