Man, Micro Agressions is the only one with a video that I thought was that great. The singles with the videos were ok but the rest of the album is perfect imo. Those were just a lil too easy to follow for me.
On my first listen, transitions happening at 02:13 and 04:23 made me smile. A great album opener! Love the drums between 01:53 and 01:58 tastefully sprinkled with ghost notes. Those China hits at 01:20 sound so good! The drone-like guitars sound so ethereal. The rhythms are hypnotising. Having listened to the album fully now, this is my favourite track. A banger! Also, my favourite part of the record is ‘Asahi’ arranged as a prelude to ‘The Problem of Other Minds’, foreshadowing the guitar solo/riff on the latter, having an expansive sonic ambiance of its own.

It is 1000x easier if it's music that you wrote. I know it doesn't make it any less complex, but the muscle memory that goes into recording tracks and then prepping setlists for tour really stays with you.
If you know music theory well enough, you only need to write something down once. A year could go by and you could still sight read that music. No memory is required at that point, though it helps. What I am referring to is usually only seen in experts such as Tosin. 😄

You have to find the songs and make your own playlist, example trivium’s in the court of the dragon or messhugga’s immutable. The last album didnt do it for me it was just technically impressive this one though...probably my top 3 AAL holy shit so good! They always sound better when misha produces their songs become more structured and fluent its just the perfect combination !

Animals as Leaders does the best job i've heard in my life of putting meaning into music. It's literally an analogy for life... and relatable to so many fields of study it's ridiculous. Animals as Leaders does the best job i've heard in my life of putting meaning into music. It's literally an analogy for life... and relatable to so many fields of study it's ridiculous. I don't think people see their true genius. (It's like the level of understanding that the word "true" is reduntant in this case)
