Dannnnngggggggg, berserk could do an origins where the IOE started as a simple yet strong emotion like betrayal, where someone felt their life was wasted to help someone else… so like the IOE comes from people trying to help and being betrayed or just not being successful in general
Ever since I found out about the Idea of Evil, the one suspicion I've had is that everything that's happened from the old empire falling, the godhand coming into existence, even to Griffith's ascension has been to fulfill humanity's actual wish: to find a cause for their suffering and then defeat it. That's what Guts and his party are, the 1000 year manifestation of humanity's desire to defeat evil as a concept.
I really like the idea that The Idea of Evil is ultimately trying to give humanity a W, in my eyes it makes the most sense, The Idea of Evil, in a really screwed up way, is essentially a servant of humanity, the sole reason for its existence is to give human suffering an ultimate purpose. I've been leaning towards the idea that Falconia itself might be the intended end game, the suffering inflicted by the holy sea set the stage for the legend of a messiah, all the deaths and anguish caused by Griffith's eclipse lead to the birth of Femto, his rape of Casca caused the birth of the moonlight child which allowed him to be reborn into the physical world, and all of the lives lost in the roar of the astral world led all of humanity to seek salvation in Falconia, now the only thing left is for Griffith's army to conquer the Kushan Empire and the entire world will be united under what they believe to be a utopia
From his actions Griffith will make a move to surpass even the godhand members who help him. Possibly even the idea of evil somehow. My idea has always been that it's never enough for Griffith, and he'll aim to be number 1 in both realms of existence.
You are not wrong. And the idea that Guts gets his chance not because he received some incredible power up but because Griffith tried to seize the throne and ended up becoming a Lucifer figure and that changed things just enough for everybody. After all it is not like Guts couldn't hurt the God Hand as with their ability to read causality Guts might as well be announcing his every move. After all Griffith wouldn't need to dodge and redirect Guts' attacks if they wouldn't hurt him. And what a power move it would be to just take a hit from Dragonslayer. So think it means Guts can do real damage. What he has trouble doing is forcing such beings to reveal themselves in a way that lets him land a telling blow.
@Ignirium I just remembered seeing the cenobites, and one looked just like Ubik and then seeing one of the cenobites with the stomach opening, and it reminded me of Void face so I thought maybe Miura got some influence from Hellraiser.
@@Pap602 Yeah, once you notice the similarities it becomes quite obvious. I've been wondering if "the blurred line between pain and pleasure; sadomasochism", Or "Clive Barker's personal experience from wrestling with and being a Gay man alongside facing strict accordance with Christian theology"; which is explained in good detail from some Hellraiser video essays I've seen, if any of those themes have had any intentionally made there way into the world of Berserk. There's an exploration of the dark and repressed human nature of the shadow from Christianity is displayed in both mediums; the reason why the demon's in berserk are resemble/represent our repressed shadows. Probably the same with why the Cenobites look the way they do as well. Personally i think this idea was also taken from Hellraiser and further explained in Berserk. I really think this was the next phase Mira was going to try to put into circulation to explain not just the 4 kings the 4 angels and the idea of evil in itself. The idea of evil was created from the evil intentions that exist inside the hearts of all Mankind. All the evil things that we want to do is what manifested it. This is probably the biggest reason why I've always followed berserk and I've always thought it had such an interesting storyline. Drenched in mythology kintaro Mira knew what he was doing.

What's the difference between purpose and causation? I've gotten the notion that purpose is the lesson of Berserk. That purpose is the origin of the Seven Deadly Sins. Pride, envy, wrath, sloth, avarice, gluttony and lust are not just dangers to be avoided. They are caused, manifested, when our "ambition" exceeds our patience: when we take "shortcuts" to our goals. When we let the ends justify the means. Purpose can be accomplished without taking shortcuts, but that takes humility, patience, respect and fear of our own ignorance. Without a healthy respect of what we dont know, we "rush in where angels fear to tread". Why does the "behelith" look so ugly, pathetic, and diametrically opposite to the power it "seemingly" holds? Because it is a physical metaphor of the twisted, anguished and puny mind that makes a "deal with the devil". The Behelith is the cry of the soul that has lost sovereignty. The death cry of autonomy as it relinquishes free will for slavery forever. When you sell your soul to the devil, for revenge or whatever, does not your soul cry out like a child ripped from its mother?

Disagree that Void won’t be defeated. If Femto can manipulate a slash from a space-altering Behelit-based astral blade, he can manipulate space, akin to Void. During the eclipse, Femto already demonstrated he could manipulate matter.
There was a previous godhand, its shown in a memory. Also, SK has shown himself help those that he does not need to help, and has long lasting relationships with those that respect him. So I think there is something wrong with your angle of SK being evil or motivated by evil. We know that Flora is dedicated to SK and has knowledge on the Berserker Armor and how to "control" or "bring back" someone from the influence. And the dwarf that created it lives on Elfhelm. And if Void was a sage on the island they are all possibly present around the same artifact. There was a falling out between Gaseric and Void (maybe over love? Maybe over power? Maybe differences in belief?). There is clearly something expressed about an unforgivable act being committed. Maybe Void did something to incur the wrath of an emperor. While being confined and tortured, void used the crimson behelit, and as a sacrifice committed someone important to both Void AND Gaiseric. Maybe Gaiseric's love was of some important relation to Void. Now that Void has achieved demonhood and surpassed everything, even beyond the reach of an emperor. THIS is when Gaiseric seeks the dwarven armor and the aid of the witch Flora in order to take his battle to the unreachable: god and its agents. I just cant go with your theory of SK being evil and Void being the one that was betrayed.
Man ... wouldn't it be sick if there is a idea of good that is just like evil but as good. Guts gets the first behleit of heaven and becomes a sick being and a new form. The fulcrum of this story is what is being discussed in this clip. It is also it's glaring weakness. At no point in this long running story did we see the opposite side of the evil as an equal force. Should it even exist, covering it later on will only seem like a sudden element foreign to the story thus made up out of thin air to bring about the final clash. The opposite side should have been hinted at throughout the story just as they did with darkness/evil. The other issue that I have is the use of causality, primarily working in one direction. If causality is used in this way, then it further proves that there is an opposite force that could and should be able to manipulate it. Thus far though we have seen none. Which brings back my point to full circle that the biggest failure of this story is its fulcrum mentioned.
This is a funny idea for a video because we really don’t know much about the God Hand or really anything beyond surface level in most of Berserk since there is such a lack of content

So anyone killed by an apostle does not go to the abyss. Neither do people who are branded. The only people that go to the abyss are apostles when they die or lose to the godhand. The Godhand would as well as it’s stated their fate for the power they gained. The souls you see in the abyss all were apostles at some point. They have to willingly give into becoming an apostle by accepting the beholet. Also, the “idea of evil” resides in a dimension of hell. So it’s also safe to assume that all evil people in general go to the abyss when they die. BUT…the idea of evil does NOT get its power from anyone in the abyss, it USES its own power to grant apostles and the God hand power. It stated the Idea of Evil gets its power and was CREATED by the thoughts and feelings of mankind. So if all mankind died, there would be no Idea of Evil, God hand, or apostles anymore.
@@kahmul Yes, there is. The Godhand don’t actually “make” apostles. The idea of evil sends out behelits into the world, each one supposedly created for specific people. When they are at their most desperate, the Godhand persuade them to accept it but are not technically required to accept it nor does the Godhand need be required to facilitate. The Idea of Evil actually grants the new body of an apostle, not the Godhand. So the abyss is filled with either past Godhand, apostles AND evil people as I previously stated.
Void is the oldest of the current God hand. It seems like they're phased out and replaced over time. Maybe Void will be the only member of the God Hand to be removed
I'd mused that Void could be Future Guts. That the entirety of the plan was for Void to literally create himself by making Guts suffer as much as possible. Griffith was just a tool to get that done. Void's chief aim would be: Creating Void
I don't understand how Void could've been the first Godhand member, we see a glimpse of Gaiseric's Eclipse when Guts is having his Berserker armor worked on by the Dwarf and there were 4 other Godhand members that we've never seen before standing at his side. If that was the Eclipse that created Void then there had to have been other Godhand members before him.
The Godhand are those that maintain the firmament between the Earth realm & the other realms. In religions many planes of existence are known as realms. The truth of religion is to act in accordance. So that you can resonate your life force aka soul, mind & body to that realm. The higher your resonance the more compatible you are to that realm. Often the Godhand are seen as the enemies, yet they are allies to humanity. They exist to limit those that would misuse their resonance in these realms. Take Femto for example, Griffith is the mortal that derived from the earthly realm. Yet Femto exist as the mortal that derived from his own experience in a realm. Yet the White Bird is a being that exist between both. An imaginary creature that is neither dead or alive.
I think Void's plan is to gather all humans in Falconia and to use all of them for the biggest sacrificial ritual to gain god like powers. One way or another Void or griffith will betray the other 4 evil messengers or whatever.
There is an actual religion that believes the Catholic Church actively disconnects us from the heavens. I worked with an old man that had these scrolls mailed to him. It was in foreign language, I believe German or near there. Scriptures written by an angel that possessed someone, and then when that person died, the angel possessed a child to finish the scripture.
@@Enoxificattiexactly. All of them are purposely manipulated and warped to ensure the never ending torment of humanity and it's never escaping of such.
i mean if the idea of evil is a thing born from human consciousness then the idea of good should also be a thing. which means there should be apostles for good. the idea of good would have been created along with the idea of evil because people have the potential for both. good and evil are just made up by either god or people to help control what people do. depends on your belief if god or not. sure there can be a time when evil can be at 99% but there will always be the remaining 1% as good. the flip side can also happen. 99% good to 1% evil. there is never a time when 100% either good or evil can exist because you cannot have one without the other. maybe in berserk good is barely there right now but it doesnt mean that it is gone. at some point the idea of good will need to be introduced into the story
Imo that is the biggest weakness of this story. Where are the side of good in this story. The evils opposite force. Its way too one-sided now and power levels make zero sense as it is.
Isn't there a wicked torture scene about the inquisition or am i tripping? I distinctly remember watching it in berserk and i cant remember what episode or movie
Guts was always supposed to survive the eclipse, if he and casca didnt then griven wouldve never been able to have a human body via the moonlight child and the talking egg
Guts will be the king of kushan empire cause kanishka is dead and there's no one at the throne of kushan empire and our the GUTS will be the king of kushan empire cause he is the one who have to defeat falcoina and grifithh and as a mercnory he knows how to do wars startigies as he is the main friend of grifith leader of band of hawk
Skull knight is a rogue godhand member or the first " griffith " of our story. How is he wath it is eh? Griffith did a bad move by coming back to human world 👌🏼 he will fall very bad 😁
Evil is a narcissistic hive mind. “Do as thou wilt” is satanisim. Not necessary the worship of an actual devil, but rather sort of placing yourself in that role where where you do what you want, and by that I mean, give into to your appetites and desires as a main motivator, you’ve become a slave to your own base passions and doing what you want becomes anything but free will. Things that make us unique, individuals are far beyond our base appetites. Griffith was a narcissist who sacrificed and manipulated everyone in his life on a daily basis. All of the apostles and godhand are complete perfected examples of malignant personalities in their fullness. And you will find that, although on the surface level, there seems to be differences between such individuals, in the end, they are only facets of the same mirror reflection of evil in mankind. There is nothing unique about evil. Creative ways to destroy is not creation at all. It unwinds everything around it that it has power over until it brings it to the void and chaos. But yes, everyone who became one of these apostles, went through something horrible and traumatic. For every Bruce Wayne becoming Batman there are many more jokers. In any case, the story Griffith is a narcissistic antichrist. Because any antichrist is narcissistic. Self-aggrandizing and self worshiping. This is empowered more when people sort of worship and prioritize themselves over others or over any possible true deity.
I mean there is only 376 chapters or actual mangas as of last year. But sure dude exaggerate like hell cause we all know thos last 24 chapters won't be done till 2030
The castle in the sky! Griffith's goal is conquering Heaven. Is already established that the Astral world is divided in a lot of circles. Heaven and Hell do exist even though no mage ever came back going that deep. Point is, Griffith gives a shit making the Idea of Evil stronger. Has no faith or conviction on that ort of thing. We know what he is after though, and with his renewed power, getting a kingdom is no big thing, unless it is THE KINGDOM (of heaven). Although the material world has no value on it's own, it serves as fuel of some sort to the Astral beings (food/ground to plant Astral trees/creative Ideas that serve to materialize powerful beings, ect). So he needs it to fuel his purpose, that I believe it became clear to him when the Idea of Evil showed him what the Astral world is. Void, the other apostles, the eyezy heart might have other plans, but for me, that is no doubt that Griffith's goal is Heaven. Cliché almost, but shit, that's an epic way to get it
Boy oh boy you Berserk fans 🤣 Worse than DragonBall fans with your “lore”. Miura was a Clown. He rather play that video game than to work on Berserk. Good riddance.
The purpose of the Godhand is to be evil. I know it sounds dumb, but it is the real purpose. Heck, their boss is named "the idea of evil", the author is referring to the necessity of evil in this world for there to be good in it. Without evil, there is no good, and love is not as felt strongly without goodness. (think of an injured kitten cause kids beat it, that you nurtured to health, that love that kitten will have for you will be high, even crocodiles feel love for a human when they are nurtured to health) Evil exists so that good can exist, and Godhand is simply doing evil for the sake of evil. The clue is in Causality itself. Satan has a divine mission.
Maybe, just maybe... Causality is the friends we sacrificed along the way.

So if all mankind died, there would be no Idea of Evil, God hand, or apostles anymore.
theres no way there had been that many apostles at that point
@@kahmul Yes, there is. The Godhand don’t actually “make” apostles. The idea of evil sends out behelits into the world, each one supposedly created for specific people. When they are at their most desperate, the Godhand persuade them to accept it but are not technically required to accept it nor does the Godhand need be required to facilitate. The Idea of Evil actually grants the new body of an apostle, not the Godhand.
So the abyss is filled with either past Godhand, apostles AND evil people as I previously stated.
@@bulletproofrecon1082 I agree
Wait void was really the first? What about the other godhand, that showed up to gesierics eclipse?
Void is the oldest of the current God hand. It seems like they're phased out and replaced over time.
Maybe Void will be the only member of the God Hand to be removed
Is the godhand a territorial deity or is it worldwide? Guess we never will know
I'd mused that Void could be Future Guts.
That the entirety of the plan was for Void to literally create himself by making Guts suffer as much as possible. Griffith was just a tool to get that done. Void's chief aim would be: Creating Void
Huh?
Void is someone from the Skull King’s era. Stupid Miura croaked before he could expand on it.
Void was someone really close to the Skull King.
@@magacop5180 Void is most likel y the sage
He is too smart to be Guts, also we know who void was.
I have to what is what if the founder Titan was in berserk and what if guts became not just the beast in of darkness but the king as well
They’ll be beat by the power of friendship.
Lol I hope not
Sounds like the armor started it and the armor will end it… in a mirror image.
Looking for something interesting to play and causality delivers
The King of the heavy taxes.

That’s wild.
Don't souls go to the vortex of souls regardless of weather or not they come to deal with these fake angels?
Nope spirit tree
I've heard this more than once: that we are "more than 400 chapters in". Aren't we on chapter 376?
There is an actual religion that believes the Catholic Church actively disconnects us from the heavens.
I worked with an old man that had these scrolls mailed to him. It was in foreign language, I believe German or near there. Scriptures written by an angel that possessed someone, and then when that person died, the angel possessed a child to finish the scripture.
Sounds like bs.
Or the start of cult despite the chatolics being one too😂@@dontbothertoreply9755

i mean if the idea of evil is a thing born from human consciousness then the idea of good should also be a thing. which means there should be apostles for good. the idea of good would have been created along with the idea of evil because people have the potential for both. good and evil are just made up by either god or people to help control what people do. depends on your belief if god or not. sure there can be a time when evil can be at 99% but there will always be the remaining 1% as good. the flip side can also happen. 99% good to 1% evil. there is never a time when 100% either good or evil can exist because you cannot have one without the other. maybe in berserk good is barely there right now but it doesnt mean that it is gone. at some point the idea of good will need to be introduced into the story
It already has been: Guts' party.
Slan is my favourite
The falcon of light is the real enemy. Void created the prophecy around himself
Day 2 of asking yall to cover chojin x. It’s a great manga made by the same person who wrote Tokyo Ghoul!
The Eclipse Moon is the Pupil of God's Eye.
so Griffith is anti chriyst
I thought the four angels of the holy see were actually the elements , as said by shierke

Void isn’t an archangel
I hate that whoosh sound effect with a passion
Calling guys a good man when he killed a kid is insane
400 chapters? What?
I mean there is only 376 chapters or actual mangas as of last year. But sure dude exaggerate like hell cause we all know thos last 24 chapters won't be done till 2030
I swear you guys just keep making the same videos over and over
#GODHAND2024
its dog eat dog world, griffith and guts did nothing wrong, theyre both parts to a whole
This channel takes a lot of liberties woth fact
Cliché almost, but shit, that's an epic way to get it
Nah
His goal is that big giant Castle with the demons eating people in the basement.

Boy oh boy you Berserk fans
🤣
Worse than DragonBall fans with your “lore”.
Why does this guy use such a goofy voice? 😂 It’s always so over the top in such a cartoony way 🤣
I need him for every Berserk video🔥
