    Amazing as always. Started hand sanding a cumai Kukri I forged yesterday. Need me a heat treat oven. Seams way less risky lol.

    Copper give such a nice contrast to the colour of the steel. Despite the added difficulties, it always looks so cool when copper is used in these pattern forged blades.

    Awesome looking knife! Twas a pleasure to watch it take shape. I would have loved seeing a layer of brass in between the copper or even mokumegane in between the Damascus instead of straight up copper (I'm not even sure if mokumegane incorporated into the knife has ever been done on RUclips yet) but if there's one channel that's willing to push the boundaries in that I'm betting it's yours! Once again though, great blade! Thanks for sharing 🫡

    I have made Mokume-gane before and have wanted to do the copper Damascus. I need to work on my forge welding skills to be able to do that though. That handle is absolutely beautiful!

    Hey man, awesome video. This might be saying a lot cuz im not in your shop, but from the look of the video it seems like you have a LOT of scale coming off that billet. You might look into reducing the amount of oxygen in your mixture.

      Sind so Sport - Kopfhörer mit Geräuschunterdrückung - da ich eigentlich immer Musik höre bei der arbeit :)

      Ich hab das selbe getan, bis mein Nachbar mal mit in die Schmiede kam und meinte, das reicht nicht, um die wirklich gefährlichen Lautstärken fürs Gehör zu stoppen.
      Ich hab mir daraufhin Kapselgehörschutz geholt, die über die Ohren gehen. Du weißt schon, die "standard Teile". Vorteil: ich kann auch weiterhin Musik und Hörspiele hören und bin besser geschützt :)
      Ich habe absichtlich auf Firmennamen und dergleichen verzichtet, damit das hier nicht als Werbung rüber kommt. Ist wirklich ein ernst gemeinter Rat und ich vertraue da auch meinem Nachbarn. Der ist Dr. der Physik und wissenschaftlicher Berater. Und hey: die Beratung war sogar kostenlos! :D
      Ich find es auch doof, das sowas nicht auf den Teilen drauf steht! Gerade deine Arbeit am (automatischen) Schmiedehammer macht durch den entstehenden Schalldruck die ANC-Teile wirkungslos und der Schalldruck ist das, was die Haarzellen im Ohr umlascht...
