I agree with ya. I think the people who aren't a fan of Brawl are way too mean. Brawl is my favorite of the series and my favorite game of all time because it has a sense of verity and content, the subspace emissary is fun to an extent, its got the best single player in the series since I never play video games with friends and I tend to play alone, I love the expanded verity of characters, and the soundtrack is just one of the best I've ever heard in a video game in like ever.
How are melee and SSB4 better? Brawl has subspace, which when played on intense mode gives most people at least a solid 8 hours of gameplay. SSB4 has smash tour. Once ultimate comes out SSB4 will be completely forgetten. Now melee. The only reason melee could ever be better is because of physics, but it's a gamecube game, so while it was amazing for it's time we have much better games now. Get Project M and Melee is instantly trash compared to it. That's just my opinion though, and I'm replying to a really outdated thread sooooo....
Smash 64: Original and the very first Melee: Fast Paced gameplay Brawl: Good Single Player Content (like Subspace) SSB4: A well balanced game and has Smash Run(3DS) and Smash Tour(Wii U) IN MY OPINION.
From what I've seen, the biggest advantage this game has over Melee is getting to see Luigi do a hypnotic death dance set to psychedelic music. Not diminishing it. That's actually a pretty big plus. Where else can you see such a thing?
It's never made quite clear in the reviews for Smash Bros. Can a single Wii player play the fighting parts of Smash Bros alone OR do you need a minimum of two local people (a friend next me) in order to play the fighting parts of Smash Bros?

While I do agree an adventure mode would be great like Subspace Emissary, I would need to be shortened because of how long it takes to play SSB Wii U or just find a way to tell a story fast with it not because repetitive 2D side scrolling game that lasts hours to complete.

I have problems with it too, the gameplay is floaty and slower than melee, the subspace emissary takes a bit too long to complete the load times can be awful, some items are broken and the tripping is annoying but I genuinely think brawl is a great game and you could say its as good as if not better than melee. Melee is a bit overrated tbh.

You should get Super Smash Brothers U. It's a lot better than Brawl! And it's Online is pretty damn good...so not having local multiplayer friends is ok if you have a decent Wi-Fi connection.
Yeah me neither, but then again I said the same thing about Mario Galaxy, then picked it up again, and boom, it's a masterpiece!! Anyway I'm hoping this game will surprise me like galaxy did once I pick it up again.. XD

No, when I first got this I thought it was the case but you can play smash solo with bots.

I played Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Nintendo Wii in the past and I enjoyed it as much as everybody else.

xLe Loserx 8950 the wii u is backwards compatible. meaning that the wii u can play wii games. however there is wii U games.
