Helicopter Hunting Geese off Hudson Bay

- Epic adventure to Kaska Goose Lodge off the Hudson Bay for an incredible waterfowl hunting adventure. Hunted snow geese, ross geese, Canada geese and were surprised by the number of ducks.
The logistics were much simpler than what we could imagine where we took a chartered airplane from Winnipeg to Kaska. Beautiful and remote landscape where we saw polar bears, moose, woodland caribou and black bears. Great camp with food that surpassed any expectations that we had. Using the helicopter to fly along the coast of the Hudson Bay to reach some concentrations of geese was a big highlight. Usually hunted over a few dozen decoys. Most of the geese traveled and flew less than fifty yards off the ground.
Besides the renowned waterfowl hunting, there was also tremendous brook trout fishing within walking distance of our cabin for large sea run trout.

Yes, liked the video, but the click bait caused me to only watch maybe 60 seconds. Instant loss of credibility, outright deception.
It’s like one of those tv shows you see on the outdoor channel, I like it.
Those are some massive birds!
Good hunting up there. I was there in the mid-90s, at Weber's Lodge. Don't remember many mallards around, but there is a ton of pintails around.
+Daniel Fisher it was an incredible trip!
And imagine, those kinds of numbers of birds AND WAY MORE used to darken the sky over Chesapeake Bay and lots of other places in the lower 48. All gone.
Arkansas gets significant populations of geese. Little tornados on the rice fields when they jump!
When I grew up the limit on geese was 5 that was in the 70s now in California the limit is 25 more geesenow🤷🏾♂️
Populus tremula the snow geese are so overpopulated they are eating themselves out of food and destroying they're habitat
Its realy so good hunting place sir...
Cool we go shooting over in New Zealand water fowl still using the old Browning A5
A5 is a classic!
@@passionforthehunt3493 yep the A5 was my grandfather's its the duck shooting season in NZ
Great video! Looks like you all hag a fun time while up there in Canada! Best of luck to you the rest of the season.
+Campus Waterfowl 👍
BBB in a 12 is quite effective. The bore size to pellet stack in the shells works. Ts in a 10, same thing.
Any pellet size from T to 5 works for geese. It’s what they said in the video, use something that you know the pattern and lead
What size black cloud to you guys use for goose hunting?
We shoot a lot of BB for geese.
I have a great recipe for cooking a goose. You place the goose on a cedar board and roast it until it is done. Then you throw away the goose and eat the cedar board...lol.
I decoyed Ross geese up at Hudson Bay in a berry patch. Someplace you might hunt quail back home
Such pampered "hunters" LOL
And thats why geese aren't near our community anymore. Getting scared off by these choppers.
I believe there was a total arctic nest failure in 2019 explaining the adult shooting.

@@deannelson9565 yea those geniuses shelling out $3k a head to shoot some fuckin snows 😂
@@randyfruit8221 yeah and they are from North Dakota a big time snowgoose state. Hell Kyle makes a living as an outfitter and lodge owner were hunting snows is a big part of it! It's about going somewhere unique not cookie cutter like Ark.
@@deannelson9565 wack. Ps if you’re gonna insult someone’s intelligence make sure your reply doesn’t have grammatical errors. Then isn’t synonymous with than 👌🏼
