    I like the content. But as a young lad,i was fortunate that my dad worked on many farms. He was a fridge engineer, so plenty of his work was near and around Gisburn/Clitheroe looking after milk tankers. The farmers were more than happy to let him shoot in season of course. The thrill of sending his Springer into thickets to flush the game out was exciting and tense, obviously you need an obedient/trained dog!! I used to look forward for dad waking me at 5am in winter.. Fantastic childhood memories... Thanks again for your posts....

    TIL 3.5" shells and extra tight chokes aren't the biggest wastes of money for goose hunting... red dots definitely take the cake as the most superfluous.

      hissinggoose at really higher distances a longer barrel will a full chock using # 2 steel shot will do the trick and I’m talking 3 inch magnum hand loads. I have a 36 inch barrel that will reach out and touch someone.

    • @tarmovartiainen4934
      @tarmovartiainen4934 4 года назад

      Why lead is better? Because here in finland the goverment is banning the use of lead shot for bird hunting, and they are thinking about banning lead in all kinds of ammo.

    • @DaveSmith-cp5kj
      @DaveSmith-cp5kj 3 года назад +1

      @@tarmovartiainen4934 Steel shot is less dense so it loses its energy faster, leading to less humane kills. It is also more expensive and wears out the barrel. You also can't use a choke without erratic patterns over time due to wear.

    This was a great shoot except for the lead ammunition y’all were using. Lead destroyed a lot of other games birds, partridges, quail,pheasant,ducks woodcocks and snipe. Even though you think it’s not harming any other fouls you’re wrong. The other species feeding will eat the lead shot and you’ll see one year soon y’all will be wondering what happened to our birds. Lead will be your answer. Please use steel or tungsten shot. Don’t let happen in your country what happened to ours because of lead. We didn’t have any game birds to hunt for tens of years because of our stupidity.

    I am disappointed in this, when I read the title I thought this might be the hunt for ONE MASSIVE SWEDISH GOOSE, not a hunt for a significant volume of geese in Sweden. My version would be a better film.
