They are good & reliable. Though having said that, when Birkenhead no 10 arrived at the museum after traveling from Hooton. One of the rear offside tires was deflated. It must have been pierced on its trip. We always carry a spare & 20 minutes later it was swapped out
Nice ride in the very early National. It always makes a change to see one in municipal livery. Considering the engines were designed to be thrown away went they went wrong, they haven't done too badly!
@AndreiTupolev I must admit I wasn't a fan of the national when it first came out. My late parents always insisted on sitting at the front end. Being small back then I couldn't see out the window. Now of course I sit at the back over the glorious noisy engine
That the first time I’ve seen a fleetline with a flush rear end no bustle I thought it was a Foden until I saw it closer ,the national on start up 😊😊 blimey mate ,great video All the best Mark 😊
They were a popular bus with operators, many being bought up by independents after deregulation. Warrington 1 is a very nice looking bus, almost looks new
Great video and another great day. Already looking forward to the next one!
Thanks, probably be at the Kirkby nocturnal running day. Enjoyed the one last year
Nice buses. Even most of them are old but still are kept in good condition and are still reliable.
