YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS!! Nursing school definitely has its ups and downs. To be a nurse you really have to be a bad b*tch & put in the work -- but you've got this!! You are strong than you think & you are not doing it alone.

    Who is she??
Hello!! My name is Margaret Armen. I am a twenty-something living in the very fun (definitely underrated) Pittsburgh, PA! After two years in advertising, I left my job to go back to school for nursing. I am currently in an accelerated BSN program with a plan to graduate in December 2021. I love bingeing a good TV show, listening to a murder podcast, and snuggling my little pup, Olive. I am so glad you're here to hang out with me. I hope I can bring you a few laughs and the occasional life lesson. xx

Thank you so much for this video! I am in the process of applying to an ABSN program and starting my prereqs. I’ve never really been a huge science or math expert but I have a passion for nursing and the message you reiterated that “we can do hard things” just gave me that much more motivation! Thank you and good luck with the rest of your program! 🤓

You are so refreshing- thank you for being transparent and sharing your journey with us. I have been in prenursing for a year and a half and got my acceptance into my nursing program just a couple months ago. I start my cohort in August and I am nervous but excited! I look forward to your videos every week. Keep being you 😊

Can you do a video on how you study when you have more than two heavy courses at a time and how you manage your time through your program. I’m also in an ABSN so I know the struggle!

I’m late to the game here (currently binging your channel), but I just love the message at the end! I’ve just made the decision to switch to nursing from public health. I will start taking prerequisites next semester while managing a full-time job. I know it’ll be hard, but like you said, I can handle hard things. I’ve done it before and I can do it again!

I’m not sure if you’ve talked about this before, but could you go over how you did your prereqs working full time? Like did you stay at your job while taking them all or when did you officially decide to leave your job? I’m doing prereqs now and struggle with wanting to quit my 9-5 everyday but am scared of the financial insecurity 😅😅

Hi Margaret! ❤️Super awesome videos! I’m applying to ABSNs right now. I am applying to any and all. I am getting attached to some of the 12 month programs due to location + NCLEX pass rates, so still seeking 15 month programs too. 18 months would be ideal, and a 2 year is out of the question!
I am still processing in my brain how to stay well rested and energized in a pace race! Do you feel like it’s so overly crammed in, or more continuous…I’m worried about not meeting my 8-9 hour sleeping commitment😂😂😂
Do you study all weekend? Or more so after class during the week?

Hi!! Thank you! Congratulations on applying! Balancing school and life can be difficult with an accelerated program. It is a lot of material in a short amount of time - BUT it is 100% achievable. I absolutely get 8+ hours of sleep (most) nights. It is ALL about time management, keeping a schedule, and doing your best to carve out time for yourself. The longer the program you choose the more spread out the work/clinical hours will be. Depending on what's going on I study/do work mostly during the week but I'd say there is often some work to do on the weekends. I hope that was helpful! Good luck! You've got this :)

i'm also in children hospital for peds clinical and the nurses there are mean... several classmates of mines talked about how rude most of RNs were. We also didn't do much there ... The hospital is beautiful but I don't think I would want to work there or ever apply there..
