its a really good cover on a very difficult song , i agree on that but i wouldn't say that he got balls.... sounds more like they cut he's balls off and he is mad about it....!!! lol
@@shacromgmc3602 funny...... but that "thin-sounding" falsetto is quite common for many great metal singers(especially in power metal)...... Kiske, Geoff Tate, Rob Halford etc...... all great vocalists

Great voice! Not a possible song for most people to sing. One of the best covers for sure.
Some of your vocal lines are pure perfection - they're _too_ good haha! There's probably quite a lot of "studio magic" behind it, but I really don't care... at all! On the contrary: I love it! It's all about the artistry of the end result, and the end result gives me crazy goosebumps (which a raw recording probably wouldn't). Mike, you're fucking awesome!
And for the people who get butthurt about the studio magic comment: people who are meticulous about their craft and use every tool to their disposal to create a mind-blowing end result are a godsend! It still takes a godly amount of skill to get this result! 99% of "singers" wouldn't achieve something remotely close to this even if they spent months in the studio. I wish more people put as much effort into their craft as Mike does! I get goosebumps waaay too seldom! ;)

its unbelievable good , never thought a vocal cover would go so close to its original , even for some metal bands vocalists who did covers songs in their albums.
This was incredible, hands down.
I used to go as good as Midnight, Halford, Dickinson,Tate, Tony Martin among others. I used to go to the art school for Technical Production in the Theater department but the people in the neighborhood thought I was going for singing as a cousin of my father told me. I did get tips from reads in some magazines when they asked vocalist about their technique. But in 2003 it all ended thanks to Mr. Laryngitis / Walmart (dust & forcing my voice to speak). It killed my voice. A cousin of mine heard me once and told me it was good.
got a tape with first album when i was 7 years old im still listning to the album atleast 1 time every week 38 years later! asrael red sharks and lost reflection is my 3 favorit song ever but everything they made are really good... really nice cover by the way and i hope you make a lost reflection version to PS astranomica is also really really good but you need to listen to it from the first song to the last song or its not that good! concept album
