I just did on my lawn Sunday. I really appreciate your videos advices. Hope you keep in the average for most people 😂 the other local youtuber its too expensive 🤣
@@TheALG that will be great. Will wait for the video, see what do you recommend. Following your program, i have the greenest lawn of the neighborhood. So happy 😁
How long can the PGR last? How long before you reapply? There’s some online post saying that if the high temp is over 90 degrees, it might only last for 1-2week. How do you think? Thanks.
I find from experience, I have to apply about every 3 to 4 weeks depending on the weather. If this is your first time applying PGR, I would go at the lowest dose and reapply when the grass starts to grow fast again.
Tyler, why wait? Put it down now to save that valuable time and gas money expense. Do it late evening or early after dew dries. Mixing with a liquid fertilizer and or iron is a good option but not totally nessacary. I know Ron Henry recommend that method too. Good luck. It will make that turf thicker and stay greener. Still have to water even Bermuda in this heat!
This is our first season with our lawn (new construction). I’m trying to get through this first season with minimum products so I can go all in next year. Just put down some PGF complete today for the second time. How often would you recommend putting it down? Right now the grass is looking a bit weak, not thick at all.
Thanks for the reply. It’s Bermuda, full sun, currently water three times a week but just adjusted it after watching your video. And the sod was laid in early September 2021.
Try sticking a screw driver to see if it will go in easily and to also see how far it is going in. Do this in your weak spots. Without actually seeing the lawn, it is always possible the spots are drying out quickly or you can be overwatering. If you are getting full sun, and you know for sure you can rule out overwatering, dry spots, hard soil. Look into how high your grass is and how often you are mowing. Most typical situations is mowing at 2 inches at about once a week. The lower the height of cut, the more you have to mow. Last, consider a soil test if you have ruled out all the above options. Sometimes the PH may be a bit off and can affect the way grass grows.
@@TheALG OK, I guess that if you are concerned about the yellowing that might occur then you could mow 4 hour afterwards as cuts off the tips of the grass that would yellow on top. I usually apply right after mowing as it seems to me like mowing right afterwards would waste some of the product. I do see that that portion of the instructions is prefaced with "minimizing turf damage". In the long run, as long as you get a uniform application and don't overdo it, you should be OK.
Good content bro. I'm in ga as well the Bermuda is popping!!
Lawn is looking very good!! Closing in on 6K subs that is great. Congrats!!!
You have a beautiful lawn. Keep up the great content.
Lawn is looking better every video…I am planning to apply Tex this upcoming Saturday

Hey ALG, where did you get, and what are mowing with here....love that front end lawn clipping gatherer. thanks
Try domyown.com, they sell alot of products and fast shipping.
That liquid lawns.... Is it what you're using for micro nutrient applications? Or more for the iron?
Both. I spray this between my granular fert. I use liquid every 2 weeks at a very light rate.
Do you have to water more with the lower height of cut?
No, not this time around. I am using hydretain and its so awesome.

I want to try PGR next year. I’m still mowing with a rotary but it grows so fast I have to mow every 2-3 days to keep it around 1.25”.
PGR is a time saver, you have to try it. If your mowing every 2 to 3 days, it will push it to every 4 to 5 days.

How long after you apply this stuff is it safe for kids to play on?
Usually just until it has had time to dry. Dry time will vary if the areas are in direct sun or shade.

Just a few questions. Is it bermuda? Do you have full sun or is there alot of shade? How often are you watering? How old is the lawn?

We are in the Atlanta area.

Everywhere I have read, they said to wait at least three days before mowing after applying PGR.. You can water the lawn after 4 hours, though.
I am looking at the label right now, it says to mow 4 hours after applying or apply and mow 1 hr after applying

Yeap
@@TheALG Nice work and keep it green!
If you get behind on mowing, apply PGR at 32oz per/1000 (1 qt) and you’ll have reverse growth.
Grass will be shorter everyday.
