I have a very special childhood memory that I wanted to share:
I was 10 years old when my dad took me to this movie when it came out. It was a very small theatre in a town in South India. I still remember me watching this scene with my mouth wide open when Ethan tosses the glasses towards the screen and the entire theatre went crazy. What followed was a guitar riff that introduced me to the world of Western Movie Soundtracks!
For me this has to be one of the coolest movie intro ever!

Lots of people hate on this movie as being the worst of the Franchise, but to me it totally holds its own. He was using wires and stuff, the film makers weren't gonna risk losing him and losing money if anything had happened, what's crazy is that he learned how to rock climb while making this film it was like a last minute training. So if you think about it he actually did good in this scene for not having much experience at first

Personally this is the most fun MI film in the entire franchise. Of course, we do understand the problems and why MI 3 had to course-correct so the franchise continued its long run.
But my, just take a look at this intro. An intro scene that blows our minds. The most stylistic and inventive "self-destruct" messaging device in the franchise, the most stylized action choreography in the entire franchise, the best music and MI theme music, edge-of-the-seat thrills.
The scene in the cave, where Tom Cruise emerges from between the flames and flying pigeons, the "stop mumbling" scene, the climatic bike chase and fights, it was easily the best of Hollywood action flicks, to put it simply.
Of course, the wafer-thin plot and the cartoony villain were minuses, and did threaten the franchise's longevity. But my, the viewing experience of MI2 is definitely on another level. Both MI2 and The Matrix were the best action films that came out in a year's time and still remain the best of Hollywood action movies.

Underrated Top Tier Actor. Tom truly Masters each role/character in every movie which ranges in a multitude of cinematic genres. From his demeanor & poise to stay in character to performing his own life risking stunts, he truly wants to give the viewers/audience his ALL and he always delivers for the true essence of what film making is which is the expression of art through acting and storytelling so the viewers/audiences can be entertained for a short moment of time. I truly have him ahead of Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Matt Damon, Keanu Reeves, Edward Norton, and even Jared Leto. (Who are all great actors and have their own accolades) but Tom Cruise just captivates his roles in a more dexterous and compelling way. I only wish he would’ve starred in more movies with Hollywood’s Top tiers of directors such as Martin Scorsese, Quentin Terintino, James Cameron, Alejandro González Iñárritu, and Christopher Nolan. But regardless, his movie catalog list is still great.

The worst one in my opinion. A "Mission" film should always have a montage of scenes from the film in the opening credits. This had none. The "theme" was also the worst one to date. if you want to update a classic TV show for the big screen then, at the very least, you should retain the things that made the TV show a classic.
