  • After having the NZXT H1 V2 Mini ITX case for a few weeks now I decided it was time to put a build in it. This build isn’t some high end, ultra fast machine though, it’s actually a light weight gaming PC for our studio.

    I just purchased this case and was going to go Arc on this build as well! Perfect timing! (almost)
    I'm using a Frankenstein Erying mITX board though...

    Good job dude ….I couldn’t build in something this small it would drive me up the wall

      It's a great little build. Fans are a little noisy though on bootup until NZXT Cam takes over.

    That case looks like a pain to work in :o) ... Phantek 200A was great for me when doing a SFF build for one of my nieces.

      It's actually not that bad once you get your head around it. Things are just a bit tight here and there and they could have made the cables more flexible. I wouldn't like to have to replace one of the already added in components though, could imagine that being a pain.

    With a few mods, it's a great case. Stress testing with Cinebench R23 and 3D Mark Speedway my 5600x reaches 56°C and my 3070 FE tops at 77°C all without sounding like a jet about to take off 😂

      I just bought this case, can you please let me know which mods you are referring to? thank you!

      @LulaPlays I didn't like the way CAM software runs the pump at 100% speed with no option to change it, so I did away with the fan controller and connected the pump straight to my motherboard header so I could run it at 70% - much quieter with no change in thermals. I also wasn't happy with the noisy psu fan running constantly, so I swapped it out with a Noctua one, again controlled via my motherboard. It now runs practically silent at idle.

    I had one. PSU fan too noisy and the water pump always audible. Needs some better way to extract heat - the top 80mm has a gap between it and the back panel, so it tends to just blow hot air against the perforations and cant force it through - instead the hot air just recirculates back into the case. If they could redesign (make it slightly larger overall if needed) to accommodate a single 140mm fan mounted on top (think XBOX series X) it'd move plenty of hot air out of the case. TLDR = needs a better PSU, quieter water pump and better extraction fan design.

      I've had mine for over a year now and finally cant stand the constant noise. Im surprised this isn't mentioned in most reviews...

    Nice build dude, love that case. How's the temps?

    • @TechLabUK
      @TechLabUK  9 месяцев назад +1

      It's been running since the video and even when gaming temps are all fine, actually quite low on the CPU but the fans are running quite fast so it's a little noisy. Going to use NZXT Cam to adjust the fans and then will check temps again.

      @@TechLabUK That's awesome, still tempted to try this case sometime too but we'll see

      @@rugby187gaming I know a subscriber who has done a full Nocuta fan replacement and said it was much better so I might have a go at that at some point.

    What gets me worried is the cooling fan and one had this for a long time and is it worth it?

    I have NVIDIA GeForce 1070 founders edition. Can I just connect it to any of the three pci cables or do u need a splitter or connector of some sorts?

    • @TechLabUK
      @TechLabUK  8 месяцев назад

      With this case or in general? Either way you can just use one of the 8in PCIe cables, no splitters needed.

    Hi, can the nzxt h1 v2 be used with a sfx-l power supply, such as the ASUS rog loki?

    • @TechLabUK
      @TechLabUK  9 месяцев назад

      Not 100% sure but anything bigger than a standard SFX would be very tight.

  • @UltraGameWorld

    It's a nice looking case but just seems a bit too tight to work inside for me, I would prefer a slightly bigger ITX case like the Fractal Design Meshify 2 Nano personally.
