Yum looks like a great breakfast. 56 in the North East usa. Still camping ( in a tent NOT a fancy camper) hiking and fishing. And The youngins dont have anything on us, were survivors from when life was tougher Something they haven't experienced yet.

I’m a younger fella, under 30 but I prefer your camping style. A lot of campers (specifically youtubers) in my generation are a bit too much for me. Your style is more relaxed and more like my own. Plus, I spent some time in Scotland and miss it dearly, so I’ll choose the Scottish youtuber if I can. Keep up the good times, Stu!

I use a wire cheese slicer to cut spam. It gives a more uniform cut.

I know it sounds bonkers but it works with bacon - if you add some water when frying it (carefully) then it helps brown and crisp it up and reduce chance of it sticking.

I'm 70 so I think I win. I dislike things about younger people's videos; intros with dramatic walking, ugly music playing for no reason, snide almost political remarks, I'm smarter than others attitudes. Yours is great. Glad to see a well-seasoned pan.
I do much like you--except a WWI era meatcan (handle over-balances it when empty!) and I carry crisco in a condiment cup or fry a few rashers for the fat. Also I do not like baked beans, prefer plain white or brown. I use the fork & spoon that came with the meatcan for cooking & eating and carry a SAK ("Camper"). If I boil water for coffee anyway I make boiled coffee. I carry ground coffee in in 35mm plastic film cans.

Also, I love to cook spam and Mac and cheese with the Velveeta cheese packets during camping. Easily like 1000 calories, no milk needed and absolutely delicious. And don't forget, coffee!

Been watching you for years now, always enjoy the content Stuart. As for age, I’m on the younger side of your “spectrum” as it were. As for camping food solo, for a quick meal, I like to make roast beef and pepperjack cheese sandwiches grilled on a fire. Honey Ham and Munster cheese too. Otherwise venison bacon, eggs and cheese on a toasted muffin. Delicious!

Back in the early 1960s when I was doing the Duke of Edinburgh award Bacon grill was marketed as Ulster Fry. 73 and still going strong.

Almost 61, love to see you do Corned Willie in your mess kit, like a WWI/WWII soldier! I wish I could find the Bill Mauldin cartoon with the soldier griping that BOTH mess halls were serving Corn Willie! I made some in a pie tin, it was delicious and filling!

Nice video, i only bring a jet boil when camping to heat water for Tea, Coffee, Pot Noodle, but now i might try get a light weight gas stove to cook burgers 👍

Need to use it more mate I used it a lot years ago and forgot all about it but it's a great pan they are hard to find now I think you can get the copy ones I have one they are very thin metal
