I worked at Smile a few doors along from Vivienne’s shop. We use to do the hair for Vivienne’s fashion show’s, Ben & Joe were so delightful, so was Vivienne. Jordan is a legend x
I hope that before she passed away Jordan had a chance to read all the wonderful things that John Waters had to say about her in his latest book, Mr. Know-It-All. He really admired Jordan.
I met her once in Seditionaires. I was wearing an Adam & The Antz t-shirt from the two nights at the Electric Ballroom. She said I was cool and my punk credentials went through the roof. The pub she's being interviewed in is just up the road from where I live. I would have loved to have bumped into her again. R.I.P
I must say that is just a great relaxed interview. Great to hear how she started working at Worlds End shop and stories of where she lived around London. Great stuff and look forward to part 2
Hello Ben thanks for sharing these wonderful short documentaries. I'm looking for a link to "Dressing for Pleasure" ... btw I worked for Barnzley and your brother at The Jago.
I wonder if that pink latex "SEX" sign which hung outsde the shop still exists anymore?...It would be worth tens of thousands now......Sid Vicious` red swastika t-shirt sold for nearly £40,000 at an auction at the Hard Rock Cafe last year!!
Enjoyed that, thanks Ben! I suspect that should Jordan ever commit her memoirs to the printed page she'd probably have to leave a fair bit out! Surprised you didn't ask about the chair throwing at Granada TV but she did answer that on the radio quite recently. I'm convinced the world we live in today has been altered to a large degree by the likes of Viv, Malcolm, Lydon, Jordan etc etc.... though you still rarely ever hear punk on the radio, so some things don't change do they??!
Jordan will be dearly missed. Rest in peace girl...

Fantastic Jordan is a legend and a style icon I'm sure she's got loads more stories from the punk days and the 80's ☺

Please make more of these videos Ben...great reflection on the time that was in it!
She’s lovely she nowadays reminds me of a tutor called Sandy that I had at college . Sandy was super cool too!
She was a special Lady...always so nice to me when I went in Sex and then Seditionaries. RiP
Is a small world but Jordan filled a great deal of it. I was always terrified of her. Why. She’s lovely. Sorely missed.
That was great Ben. I want more!

excellent, looking forward to part 2.
Her make-up couldn't have inspired Bowie's Ziggy Stardust period because that period was in 71 - 72.
