I have the unit infront of now (has been sitting in storage for 4 years since it was damaged.) For starters I lost the charger so I am receiving one today. Will check if this turns on and go from there! I watched the video and have a good feeling that I can fix this! Thank you!
Note : the person who handed this off to me. Had a sticker saying : battery won't charge / the flat for screen needs to be changed (cause it is flickering when opening and closing the lid)

Here is initial analysis.
Got new charger... it turns on! But battery does not charge (you see charge icon but it never charge and laptop turns off the moment you disconnect charger). Is this simply changing the battery or more complicated (charging port)
Second problem is the when you move the lid the screen could go black, but if you move it again.. it will come back.. someti.es it is so sensetive the pressing on the pad will result in that too. I am assuming.this has to do with the screen flat...

my laptop says that the hard disk is not there, where in the bottom would it be so i could either replace it or reconnect it. please respond!
It's almost impossible to come loose. The hard disk is the SSD. It's better if you watch the whole video so you understand what you're doing, rather than me just pointing you to it. Kind of like asking the Pythagorean theorem when you need to know basic math to make use of that information.
After replacing the SSD, you'll have to reinstall Windows.

How wide a tape(1,2,3mm??) do you need to reseal the edges cause my screen just fell loose from metal cover...still works great but needs new saling tape
Not sure. Check under the peeling part and see if you can see the old adhesive.
Great tutorial. I have the same laptop and left side (flom the exact middle all the way to the left) touchscreen stopped working. Right side works great (right side of the screen). Is there anything i can do? Could it be that i upgraded to w10? Thank You!
Could possibly be a loose digitizer cable, but most likely it's the digitizer itself.

Hello, I have same laptop. Sometimes it shows no hdd found(on boot menu) & thus computer shutting down. This problem is not permanent. So, when I send it to service center then the problem is not shown & all ok. But again at home it occurs sometime. I tried all the solution on internet & also remove ssd and again replace it. But still the problem caused.

Im trying to upgrade my ssd since its already bad does it support NVME? I installed 1 and it doesn’t detect it so i tried a different one and still doesn’t detect
It's an m.2 sata. Not sure it supports pcie nvme.

Hi there, have been looking everywhere for a video like this. I want to replace my cable you said is about 40 to 50 bucks cos it gives me flickering screen. Pls, how can I get one?
Flickering is usually caused by the screen itself, not the cable.
maybe I shouldn't have used flickering then. It comes on and off when touched at the bottom directly to where the cable is located

can u tell me........i cracked my screen...............i took to a good shop,,,,,,,,i also brought a new aftermarket chinese screen to put in it as replacement. i know the shop says the hinge is difficult on this unit.................anyway they did it but had trouble with the ribbor or whatever part that goes from the screen thru to the unit..........when they were done it worked fine but screen went black when u disconnected cord from unit while unit was on. i ignored that issue.............2 years later the screen is flicker ing...............it started to get bad.............seemed to not flicker as much if i plugged the cord in............then it got worse.............now its pretty much completely black screen if cord in or not. if i move the hinge around it seems to sometimes works......should i give up on this unit/ ?? i dont think its the chinese aftermarket screen.......i think its the connecting ribbon that goes from screen thru the hinge to the unit. im in bangkok now and local says its not easy to fix. im going to phillipines soon so i thnk they wiill be useless their the repairman in phillipines . do u have opinion
